Description
Sound and vibration-absorbing pad for table and machine feet To prevent the transmission of vibrations and operating noises from machines to the floor, rubber or felt pads that could be placed under the table or machine feet were previously used. In the case of machines that generate strong vibrations, such as sewing machines, buttonhole machines, calculating machines, buehhaltungs- masehinen, typewriters, etc., the use of such documents is not satisfactory.
The subject matter of the invention is a sound and vibration dampening pad for table and machine feet, which according to the invention consists of a vertically acting tension spring and two rubber-elastic support plates resting against the ends of the compression spring ..
The outer sides of the on-position plate resting on the floor or table or machine base are expediently concave, while those of the compression spring resting on the inner sides can have a recess for the ends of the compression spring to handle.
The pad according to the invention is characterized by a surprising vibration and noise dampening effect, which enables the operation of strong vibrations and operating noises such as sewing machines, buttonhole machines, etc., even in residential and rental houses without disturbing the other residents.
In the drawing, for example, an embodiment of the subject matter of the invention is shown, namely: FIG. 1 shows a vertical section through the support and FIG. 2 shows a horizontal section along line II-II in FIG.
The pad shown has a verti cal, formed as a helical spring compression spring 1, which is provided with horizontal support surfaces. The upper and lower end of the coil spring 1 is each on a position plate 2 and 3 made of rubber. The on position plates have on their inner side facing the compression spring 1 a recess 4 for the engagement of the ends of the compression spring. The outer support surfaces 5 are concave and allow a good position on the floor or a good position of the table or machine base F. The upper support plate 2 is provided with a round opening ss.
The roller of a sewing machine foot can intervene in this opening if necessary. The weight of the machine or the machine table is taken up by the compression spring, which also compensates for the vibrations. The operating noises are insulated as much as possible by the rubber plate and the compression spring connecting it, so that no significant noise can be transmitted to the floor.
