Dispositif de poignée en deux parties séparables pour boîte d'emballage en carton
La présente invention a pour objet un dispositif de poignée en deux parties séparables pour boîte d'emballage en carton destinée plus particulièrement à l'emballage de denrées périssables et fragiles, telles que, par exemple, de la pâtisserie.
Ce dispositif est caractérisé en ce que chacune des parties de la poignée est constituée par une patte flexible, comprenant une languette se terminant par une bandelette d'attache, les deux parties de la poignée étant situées respectivement sur deux parois verticales opposées d'une boîte, de manière que, pour former la poignée destinée au transport de la boîte après son remplissage et sa fermeture, on noue les bandelettes des pattes opposées, et que, pour séparer. les deux parties de la poignée, on dénoue les bandelettes, ce qui permet d'ouvrir la boîte sans être gêné par les deux parties de la poignée.
Le dessin annexé représente, à titre d'exemple, une forme d'exécution du dispositif de poignée, objet de l'invention, adapté à deux sortes de boîtes d'emballage en carton dont l'une à couvercle plat et l'autre à partie supérieure bombée.
La fig. 1 montre, en plan, une feuille de carton découpée, avec des traces de pliage et les pattes flexibles du dispositif de poignée accrochées dans leur fente respective, avant la transformation de la feuille en boîte avec poignée.
Les fig. 2 et 3 représentent une des deux parties du dispositif de poignée, dont la fig. 2 est une yue en élévation, du côté de la bandelette, et la fig. 3, une vue latérale.
Les fig. 4 à 6 représentent, à une échelle plus petite, la boîte -d'emballage fermée, obtenue par le redressement de ses parois et avec les deux parties du dispositif de poignée réunies.
La fig. 4 en est une vue en élévation, de face; la fig. 5, une vue latérale ; et la fig. 6 est une vue en plan de la fig. 5.
Les fig. 7 à 9, à une échelle plus grande, représentent la boîte avec couvercle à demi ouvert.
La fig. 7 en est une coupe latérale, suivant la ligne VII- VII de la fig. 8 ; la fig. 8 est une vue en plan de la fig. 7; et la fig. 9, une vue de face avec un fragment du couvercle.
Les fig. 10 à 12 représentent une boîte à partie supérieure bombée, munie du dispositif de poignée dont l'une des parties est montrée en fig. 2 et 3.
La fig. 10, à une échelle réduite, montre en plan une feuille de carton découpée, avec des traces de pliage et les pattes flexibles du dispositif de poignée accrochées dans leur fente respective, avant la transformation de la feuille en boîte avec poignée.
Les fig. 1 1 et 12 montrent, respectivement en élévation et en plan, la boîte fermée avec le dessus bombé, obtenu par le rabattement des parois de la boîte et avec les deux parties de la poignée réunies.
La boîte d'emballage -à couvercle plat munie du dispositif de poignée (fig. 1 et 4 à 9) est constituée par une feuille de carton découpée sur laquelle sont tracées les quatre lignes de pliage 1, 1' et 2, 2' (fig. 1), parallèles deux par deux pour permettre le pliage de quatre parois verticales 3, 3' et 4, 4' respectivement, autour d'un fond rectangulaire 5, délimité par l'intersection desdites traces de pliage.
Le couvercle 6 de la boîte, attenant à la paroi 4, est formé par les deux lignes de pliage 1, 1' et par des lignes 7, 7', parallèles aux lignes 2, 2'. En rabattant la feuille de carton suivant ces lignes, on obtient les rebords latéraux 8, 8' du couvercle, destinés à recouvrir les parois verticales 3, 3' respectivement, de la boîte, et le rebord antérieur 9 du couvercle qui s'applique sur la paroi verticale 4 lorsque la boîte est fermée.
Pendant l'opération de découpage du carton, celui-ci reçoit encore les entailles réces- saires pour constituer les organes d'assemblage entre les parois contiguës.
Dans l'exemple représenté, ces organes sont obtenus, d'une part, par des languettes 10, 10' et 10", 10"', situées dans le prolongement des bords latéraux des parois verticales 3, 3' respectivement, de la feuille de carton et, d'autre part, par des onglets 22, 22' et 22", 22"' respectivement, desdites parois. Les languettes sont réunies, par exemple, par collage ou agrafage aux onglets contigus des parois verticales, à savoir: la languette 10 avec l'onglet 22, la languette 10' avec l'onglet 22', la languette 10" avec l'onglet 22" et la languette 10"' avec l'onglet 22"'.
Les parois verticales 3 et 3' sont, en outre, pourvues chacune dans leur partie médiane d'une fente 11, 11' respectivement, parallèle aux lignes de pliage 1 et 1', servant de butée à une patte flexible 12 (fig. 2 et 3) du dispositif de poignée, objet de l'invention. La patte 12, par exemple en carton, est constituée par un talon 13 qui se prolonge par une languette 14 de largeur décroissante en direction de son extrémité libre, en ménageant de chaque côté dudit talon un épaulement 15 pour l'accrochage de la patte dans la fente de la paroi verticale dans laquelle elle est fixée. Une bandelette d'attache 16, constituée par exemple par un ruban étroit, est fixée, par exemple par collage, par l'une de ses extrémités sur l'un des côtés de la languette 14.
Les pattes 12 avec leurs bandelettes 16 constituent les deux parties de la poignée de la boîte.
La feuille de carton plane, munie de ses deux parties du dispositif de poignée, comme représenté en fig. 1, est ensuite pliée suivant les lignes pointillées de ladite figure, pour être stockée sous un volume réduit, avant d'être utilisée sous forme de boîte d'emballage. A cet effet, les parois verticales 3, 3' et 4, 4' sont rabattues de 1800 suivant les lignes de pliage 1, 1', 2 et 2' respectivement, sur le fond 5 de la boîte, en recouvrant dans les angles respectifs les organes d'assemblage repliés des parois contiguës, comme décrit ci-dessus, le couvercle 6 recouvrant le fond 5.
Pour former la boîte, il suffit alors de déplier le couvercle 6 suivant les traces 1, 1', 7 et 7' et de relever verticalement les quatre parois autour du fond 5, comme représenté en fig. 7 à 9, les quatre angles de la boîte se redressant automatiquement grâce à l'assemblage des languettes et des onglets contigus respectifs.
Après le remplissage de la boîte et sa fermeture par rabattement du couvercle 6, dont les bords latéraux 8, 8' sont pourvus d'une échancrure 17, 17' pour le passage des pattes 12 et pour maintenir le couvercle fermé, on noue les extrémités des bandelettes 16, de manière que les pattes flexibles 12 ainsi rapprochées l'une de l'autre forment la poignée destinée au transport de la boîte, comme représenté en fig. 4 à 6.
La boîte ainsi livrée ne nécessite aucune préparation préalable et permet, grâce à son dispositif de poignée en deux parties séparables, par simple dénouement des bandelettes 16, d'ouvrir la boîte pour y prélever une partie de son contenu, puis de renouer les bandelettes après l'avoir refermée, ces opérations pouvant être répétées autant de fois qu'il est nécessaire, avec un gain de temps appréciable par rapport aux boîtes d'emballage ficelées usuelles.
Le dispositif de poignée, représenté aux fig. 2 et 3, peut être également adapté à une boîte connue d'emballage en carton dont les quatre parois opposées par paires sont prolongées à leur partie supérieure par des onglets destinés à former le couvercle bombé de la boîte, telle qu'elle a été décrite dans le brevet suisse No 287428 du titulaire.
A cet effet, deux parois verticales opposées 18, 18' (fig. 10) sont pourvues dans leur partie médiane, chacune d'une fente 19, 19' respectivement, servant de butée aux épaulements 15 représentés aux fig. 2 et 3.
Pour la fermeture de la boîte, les parois 18, 18' sont rabattues sous les parois verticales opposées 20, 20' respectivement, pourvues des crochets 21, 21' respectivement, que l'on engage l'un dans l'autre. On rapproche ensuite les deux pattes 12 et l'on noue les bandelettes 16, formant ainsi la poignée destinée au transport de la boîte à couvercle bombé, comme représenté en fig. 1 1 et 12.
Au lieu d'être en carton, la patte flexible pourrait être fabriquée en matière plastique synthétique ou autre matière analogue. Elle pourrait être également en métal léger, de faible épaisseur. Dans ce dernier cas, elle pourrait venir d'une seule pièce avec la bandelette d'attache, en vue de simplifier la fabrication de la poignée.
Enfin, dans une forme d'exécution non représentée, les deux parties du dispositif de poignée pourraient être individuellement fixées directement sur deux parois opposées de la boîte ou, au besoin, être découpées dans la feuille de carton servant à former la boîte.
Separable two-part handle device for cardboard packaging box
The present invention relates to a handle device in two separable parts for a cardboard packaging box intended more particularly for the packaging of perishable and fragile foodstuffs, such as, for example, pastry.
This device is characterized in that each of the parts of the handle is constituted by a flexible tab, comprising a tongue terminating in an attachment strip, the two parts of the handle being located respectively on two opposite vertical walls of a box , so that, to form the handle intended for transporting the box after its filling and its closing, the strips of the opposite tabs are tied, and that, to separate. the two parts of the handle, the strips are untied, which allows the box to be opened without being hampered by the two parts of the handle.
The appended drawing shows, by way of example, an embodiment of the handle device, object of the invention, suitable for two kinds of cardboard packaging boxes, one with a flat cover and the other with domed upper part.
Fig. 1 shows, in plan, a cut sheet of cardboard, with traces of folding and the flexible legs of the handle device hooked into their respective slot, before the sheet is transformed into a box with a handle.
Figs. 2 and 3 show one of the two parts of the handle device, of which FIG. 2 is a view in elevation, on the side of the strip, and FIG. 3, a side view.
Figs. 4 to 6 show, on a smaller scale, the closed packaging-box, obtained by straightening its walls and with the two parts of the handle device together.
Fig. 4 is an elevational view thereof, from the front; fig. 5, a side view; and fig. 6 is a plan view of FIG. 5.

Figs. 10 to 12 show a box with a rounded upper part, provided with the handle device, one of the parts of which is shown in fig. 2 and 3.
Fig. 10, on a reduced scale, shows a plan of a sheet of cut cardboard, with traces of folding and the flexible tabs of the handle device hooked in their respective slot, before the sheet is transformed into a box with a handle.
Figs. 1 1 and 12 show, respectively in elevation and in plan, the closed box with the rounded top, obtained by the folding of the walls of the box and with the two parts of the handle together.
The flat-lid packaging box fitted with the handle device (fig. 1 and 4 to 9) consists of a cut cardboard sheet on which are traced the four fold lines 1, 1 'and 2, 2' ( fig. 1), parallel two by two to allow the folding of four vertical walls 3, 3 'and 4, 4' respectively, around a rectangular bottom 5, delimited by the intersection of said folding traces.
The cover 6 of the box, adjoining the wall 4, is formed by the two fold lines 1, 1 'and by lines 7, 7', parallel to the lines 2, 2 '. By folding down the cardboard sheet along these lines, the lateral edges 8, 8 'of the cover are obtained, intended to cover the vertical walls 3, 3' respectively, of the box, and the front edge 9 of the cover which is applied on the vertical wall 4 when the box is closed.
During the operation of cutting the cardboard, the latter still receives the necessary notches to constitute the assembly members between the adjoining walls.
In the example shown, these members are obtained, on the one hand, by tongues 10, 10 'and 10 ", 10"', located in the extension of the side edges of the vertical walls 3, 3 'respectively, of the sheet cardboard and, on the other hand, by tabs 22, 22 'and 22 ", 22"' respectively, of said walls. The tabs are joined, for example, by gluing or stapling to the adjacent tabs of the vertical walls, namely: tab 10 with tab 22, tab 10 'with tab 22', tab 10 "with tab 22 "and tab 10" 'with tab 22 "'.
The vertical walls 3 and 3 'are, moreover, each provided in their middle part with a slot 11, 11' respectively, parallel to the fold lines 1 and 1 ', serving as a stop for a flexible tab 12 (fig. 2 and 3) of the handle device, object of the invention. The tab 12, for example made of cardboard, is constituted by a heel 13 which is extended by a tongue 14 of decreasing width towards its free end, by providing on each side of said heel a shoulder 15 for hooking the tab in. the slot in the vertical wall in which it is fixed. An attachment strip 16, constituted for example by a narrow ribbon, is fixed, for example by gluing, by one of its ends on one of the sides of the tongue 14.
The legs 12 with their strips 16 constitute the two parts of the handle of the box.
The flat cardboard sheet, provided with its two parts of the handle device, as shown in fig. 1, is then folded along the dotted lines of said figure, to be stored in a reduced volume, before being used in the form of a packaging box. For this purpose, the vertical walls 3, 3 'and 4, 4' are folded back by 1800 along the fold lines 1, 1 ', 2 and 2' respectively, on the bottom 5 of the box, covering in the respective angles the folded assembly members of the adjacent walls, as described above, the cover 6 covering the bottom 5.
To form the box, it is then sufficient to unfold the cover 6 following the traces 1, 1 ', 7 and 7' and to raise the four walls vertically around the bottom 5, as shown in FIG. 7 to 9, the four corners of the box straightening automatically thanks to the assembly of the tabs and the respective contiguous tabs.
After filling the box and closing it by folding the cover 6, the side edges 8, 8 'of which are provided with a notch 17, 17' for the passage of the tabs 12 and to keep the cover closed, the ends are tied strips 16, so that the flexible tabs 12 thus brought together form the handle intended for transporting the box, as shown in FIG. 4 to 6.
The box thus delivered does not require any prior preparation and allows, thanks to its handle device in two separable parts, by simply unwinding the strips 16, to open the box to remove part of its content, then to re-attach the strips afterwards. have closed it again, these operations being able to be repeated as many times as necessary, with an appreciable saving of time compared to the usual tied packaging boxes.
The handle device, shown in fig. 2 and 3, can also be adapted to a known cardboard packaging box whose four opposing walls in pairs are extended at their upper part by tabs intended to form the domed lid of the box, as has been described. in Swiss patent No. 287428 of the owner.
To this end, two opposite vertical walls 18, 18 '(FIG. 10) are provided in their middle part, each with a slot 19, 19' respectively, serving as a stop for the shoulders 15 shown in FIGS. 2 and 3.
To close the box, the walls 18, 18 'are folded back under the opposite vertical walls 20, 20' respectively, provided with hooks 21, 21 'respectively, which are engaged one in the other. The two tabs 12 are then brought together and the strips 16 are tied, thus forming the handle intended for transporting the box with a domed lid, as shown in FIG. 1 1 and 12.
Instead of being of cardboard, the flexible tab could be made of synthetic plastic or the like. It could also be made of light metal, of low thickness. In the latter case, it could come in one piece with the fastening strip, in order to simplify the manufacture of the handle.
Finally, in an embodiment not shown, the two parts of the handle device could be individually fixed directly to two opposite walls of the box or, if necessary, be cut from the cardboard sheet used to form the box.
