Automatic bagging machine for small doses of flour
The present invention relates to a machine for automatically bagging small doses of flour, characterized in that it comprises a loading hopper, two stirrers, the first having the shape of a U, rotating on the inner face of the the hopper, the second, lower, having the shape of an S, intended to agitate the flour and to allow it to access a pressing tube.
The appended drawing represents, by way of example, an embodiment of the machine forming the subject of the invention.
Fig. 1 is a longitudinal view of the machine, partially in section.
Figs. 2 and 3 show the construction of two agitators of the machine.
The machine comprises a hopper 1 into which the flour is poured. In the hopper are arranged two agitators 8 and 9 kept in rotation by a motor. The flour gradually enters the pressing tube 3 where an Archimedean screw 2 turns.
A cylinder 4 is placed outside the pressing tube, forming a jacket on the tube 3, and which is movable on the latter. The cylinder 4 is provided at its end 5 with a cross formed of two wires intersecting at right angles. These threads allow the flour to pass in the direction of arrow 6 and are used to level the flour in the bag. The two stirrers 8 and 9 are visible in plan respectively in FIGS. 2 and 3.
These agitators rotate with a velocity corresponding to the degree of pressing of the flour and to the pitch of the screw 2. On rods moves the sled 10, carrying a support plane 15. The sled is constantly under the traction of a weight 11 attached to a rope guided on a pulley 11a.
At the base of the sled, there is an index 12, adjustable on a rod in front of a graduation 13.
The index 12 cooperates with a switch 14 connected with the motor which actuates the machine.
The operation of the machine is as follows
For the adjustment, a bag is threaded on the cylinder 4 until the bottom of the bag touches the end 5. The sled 10 is moved forward, until the vertical plane 15 rests against the end 5, and the machine is started.
The product pressed into the bag moves the sled from right to left against the action of the weight 11. As soon as the weight rises to the set value, the machine is stopped, the flour is leveled in the bag by maneuvering the lever 7, and the position of the index 12 is adjusted so that, in the following operations, the machine stops automatically.
For bagging, the manual work consists only of threading the bag on the cylinder 5, of resting the plane 15 on the bottom of the bag, and of starting the machine.
When filling is complete, the machine stops automatically. The leveling is then carried out and the full bag is removed.
The machine makes it possible to vary the density of the flour by adjusting the distance 16 between the end of the Archimedean screw and the bottom of the cylinder. The weight 11 can be adjusted by adding or subtracting auxiliary loads, a dosage independent of the degree of moisture of the flour is also obtained. The possibility of replacing the cylinder 4 also makes it possible to vary the diameter and the range of the bags. The machine is thus applicable to a wide range of weight and volume.
