Protection. and insulating device on a steam valve The present invention relates to a protective and insulating device on a steam valve of steam central heating systems and consists in opening this on that part of the protective and insulating shuttering surrounding the steam valve which is guided by the valve spindle and its guidance Surrounding formwork, a protective hood provided with a bore for the passage of the valve spindle is detachably attached.
The protective hood is advantageously provided internally with a heat-insulating coating. Since increased condensation occurs in this when using the protective hood, it is advisable to assign a condensation collecting plate, a drainage pipe for the condensed water and a removable collecting cup for the same to such protective hoods.
The drawing shows an exemplary embodiment of the subject matter of the invention, namely FIG. 1 shows the protective and insulating device on a steam valve, in longitudinal section, FIG. 2 shows a partial plan view of FIG. 3 shows a partial side view of FIG. 1, seen in the direction of the arrow ITI, and FIG. 4 a variant of the protective cover.
The protective and insulating device shown has a protective hood 6 which is easily detachably attached to the part of the two-part protective and insulating formwork 5 that encompasses the steam valve 4, which part of the two-part protective and insulating formwork 5 "surrounds" the opening 3 for the passage of the valve spindle 1 with guide 2. The protective hood 6 has a hole 7 in the middle for the passage of the spindle 1 and a mounting flange 8 on its edge.
The latter is provided with cutouts 9 at two points diametrically opposite one another with respect to the hood axis. On the protective and insulating formwork 5 two with respect to the circular opening 3 dia metrically opposite holding tabs 10 for the flange 8 are attached. The incisions 9 allow the flange 10 to be inserted into the retaining tabs in the manner of a bayonet lock. The hood is fastened by turning the hood after inserting the flange.
11 is a collecting plate fastened at the bottom inside the hood for the condensation water dripping off the valve spindle 1 and its guide part 2. At the lowest point of the collecting plate 11 is a on the hood. Discharge pipe socket -12 attached, which directs the condensation water into a collecting vessel 13 which is rectangular in plan. The latter has two outwardly bent tabs 14 on two opposite sides, which engage in two retaining tabs 15 arranged at the bottom of the hood G.
In this way, the vessel can easily be pulled out and removed for the purpose of emptying. By attaching a heat-insulating covering 16 on the inside of the hood 6 (Figure 4), a reduction in condensation can be achieved. Nevertheless, the protective hood of the condensate collector can also be attached in this training
