The present invention relates to a truck for the transport of materials in a divided state, such as, for example, coal, stones, etc., which is characterized by that it has a bottom comprising two inclined longitudinal walls converging towards one or longitudinal opening, an endless conveyor belt disposed longitudinally below this opening, the upper strand closing this opening, mechanical drive means of this belt, to make said upper strand run at will from the front to the rear of the truck,
an opening being provided at the rear of the truck, through which the end of the belt passes and which forms the outlet of the material driven by this belt.
The appended drawing represents schematically and by way of example an embodiment of the truck which is the subject of the invention.
Fig. 1 is a schematic partial view thereof with longitudinal section, along 1-1 of FIG. 2.
Fig. 2 is a horizontal section along 2-2 of FIG. 1; and fig. 3 is a cross section on 3-3 of FIG. 1.
The truck shown, the front part of which cannot be seen (which would be to the left of fig. 1) is intended for the transport of large quantities (preferably several tonnes) of materials in the divided state, coal or stone. res, for example. It comprises a body 1, the bottom of which is formed by two inclined longitudinal walls 2, 3, converging towards a longitudinal opening 4. An endless conveyor belt, 5, is disposed longitudinally below this opening 4, the upper end 6 of this belt closing the opening 4.
Mechanical drive means for this belt are provided, in order to make the upper strand 6 run at will from the front of the truck to the rear, that is to say from left to right in FIG. 1. These means are constituted, in the example shown, by a motor 7 driving the belt - via a chain or a transmission belt 8. The rear wall 9 of the body has, in its lower part, an opening 10, capable of being closed by a sliding door 11. The rear end 12 of the belt 5 passes through this opening, which thus forms the outlet for the material carried by the belt.
This rear end 12 ends above a hopper 13.
The truck shown further comprises a conveyor device comprising a second belt 14 carried by a frame 15 movable between an inoperative position shown in solid lines in the drawing, for which it is stored below the first belt 5, and a working position, shown partially in phantom, for which the major part of this frame is released from the truck. As seen in Figs. 1 and 2, part of the upper run of the belt 14 is located below the hopper 13 and the rear end 12 of the belt 5, when the conveyor device is in the working position.
Thus, in this same position, the material extracted from the truck by the belt 5 falls into the hopper 13 after having crossed the outlet opening 10 and falls on the belt 14. Mechanical means, not shown, are provided to drive at will. the second belt 14. The frame 15 of the transporting device is slidably mounted on a support 16, integral with the vehicle, this frame being oriented at will on this support when it is in the working position, in order to direct the material received by the vehicle. belt 14, laterally with respect to the truck, as seen in phantom lines on the fi-. 2. The conveyor device allows the contents of the truck to be unloaded exactly where the material transported by it is to be unloaded, thus avoiding handling work.
