Machine tool for the fully automatic production of circumferential grooves and through. going openings in the jacket of hollow rotating bodies. The present invention relates to a machine tool for fully automatic table production of circumferential grooves and through openings in the jacket of hollow rotating bodies.
The machine tool according to the invention is characterized by; that means are provided that cause the workpiece to be set up in a turning operation. for the production of a groove and then a further machining operation for the production of the openings is subjected un, and means by which the position of the openings relative to a surface line drawn out of the rotating body is coordinated. becomes.
In the accompanying drawing, an exemplary embodiment of the subject matter of the invention is provided for turning a circumferential groove and for milling slots on piston rings, and. although show: Fig. 1 a section through a clamped th piston ring package of the piston rings to be machined, Fig. a front view of the machine, FIG. 3 a side view of the same as seen from the turning side, FIG. 4 a side view of the same as seen from the milling side, FIG. 5 the control diagram. for turning.
The position of the switch rod 30 is on the far left, ready to move the same to the right to start the turning operation, Fig. 6 shows the control scheme for milling, the shape of individual 'parts of the machine compared to Fig. 5 is changed and the .Stel development of the switch rod is drawn in during the turning operation, and FIG. 7 shows a section along the line VII VII: of FIG. 3-.
The machine tool shown has. a machine stand, a horizontal spindle to accommodate the Kol benringe to be machined and left and right -of which a turning or milling tool. The tools are driven and fed by a common electric motor.
According to the combination: turning and milling, the spindle carrying the workpieces must rotate during the turning operation, while milling must stand still, but be connected to a component, whereby the piston rings to be milled always have to assume the same position in relation to the component.
For this purpose, a so-called drag gear is also installed, the only purpose of which is to bring the spindle into the correct position after the Dre hen d'ie, around the slots at the bottom of the tierge put groove. to be able to mill, so that the same are clearly oriented towards the joint of the piston rings to be machined.
In the machine housing 2, a hollow spindle 1 (Fig.l) is rotatably Gelagevt, which carries a sleeve 3 on one end face. This sleeve 3 eist a wedge track for a put on a flat wedge 3a, which is screwed to the sleeve 3, for example. The piston rings 4 to be machined are located as a package or stack between two Seheiben 5 and 6, which sit on the sleeve 7.
The piston rings 4 are pressed against the disk 5 with the aid of a nut 8 by means of the disk 6, and the piston ring stack is formed in such a way that the ring joints lie exactly along a surface line of the cylindrical stack.
The attachment of the piston rings tra lowing parts on the spindle 1 takes place. by means of a pull rod 9, which is longitudinally displaceable in the hollow spindle: 1. The head of the rod 9 lies in a nut 10 and is preferably secured in front of the same by a known bayonet lock .. Moving the pull rod 9 and; so that the pressing of the entire piston ring package on the nut 10 and the sleeves 7 and 3 ge conditions which one end face of the spindle 1 takes place. in a manner not shown by actuating a pneumatic valve 11.
On the housing 2, a hand lever 23 (Fug. 3, 5) is pivotably mounted on the axis 25, which with. an arm 27 is firmly connected. (Fug. 5). With the latter, a link 28 is articulated, which engages on a pin 29 of the control rod 30. The latter will. According to the action of a spring 31, which is supported on the housing 2, pushed to the left (Fug. <B> 5 </B>) ge.
With the hand lever 23; is also a cam 26 fixed. connected, which with. the nose 32a of a pawl 3'2, which works together around one of a! Support. 33 carried axis of rotation 34 is pivotable and! is under the action of a spring 35. At the end of the pawl lever 32 opposite the pawl nose 32a, a screw 36 is arranged, which rests on a pin 37 which is axially displaceable in the support 33.
On the control rod 30 a coupling fork 45 is attached, which engages in a groove 45c of a claw coupling sleeve 46. The sleeve 46 is freely displaceable on the spindle 1 in the axial direction, but it is; secured by a wedge la against rotation on the same .. Also on the spin del 1 is a second coupling sleeve 46a, freely rotatably mounted, which also acts as a gear. is trained. With this gear wheel, the two gears 6,5 a and 66 are in constant engagement. The gear 66 sits on a shaft 67, which also carries a gear 68.
The latter meshes with a gear 68a on the shaft 69, which belongs to a transmission gear 70 which has the output shaft 71. The shaft 71 is connected via a further gear transmission 72 with a shaft 73 which carries a gear 7'4. The wheel 74 meshes with a gear 74a on the shaft 75, on which a .Schalt see disk 77 and a cam disk 76 are gela. The switching disk 77 carries a cam 77a which is fastened to the former by means of a screw 77b. The above-mentioned bolt 37 is supported. depends on the cam 77a.
The gear 65n. stands. with a shaft 65 of a gear 64 in connection, which is connected to the shaft 61 via a shaft 63 and a further gear 62. This latter shaft carries a double-lamellar steering clutch 19 (Fig. 5), to which a gear 20 belongs. This wheel 20 meshes with, a gear 18 on the shaft 16, which has a pulley 15 and: a belt 14 with. the traction sheave 13 of a drive motor 12 is connected. On the shaft 16 there is also a gear 17 of the above-mentioned drag gear, which is in constant engagement with a gear 21.
The wheel 21 meshes with. the toothed part 22a of a lamellar coupling joint 2'2, which is rotatably mounted on the hollow spindle 1, while the other coupling part 98 on which the spindle is axially displaceable but secured against rotation.
On the control rod <B> 3V '</B>, a coupling fork 44 is also attached, which over the arm 44a. on the one hand is loosely connected to a 'rod 47 with a toothed part 47a. The rod 47 is under the influence of a spring 48 and is in constant engagement with a toothed wheel 51, the axis 52 of which is rotatably mounted in a valve housing 53.
The axis 52 is via a driving pin 54 with a 5: 5 under the action of a Fe against the opposite wall of the housing '? pressed valve plate 56 in constant connection. The valve disk 56 is intended to be described below in order to control the compressed air supplied through a supply line 39 into the housing 5.3.
A further control of the compressed air he follows by means of a hand lever 38 of the valve 11a .. The left end 'of the control rod 30 (Fig. 5) is. designed as a piston: 42; which lies in a cylinder 41 which is connected to the control valve 11a via a line 40. To the. In addition to the line 39, the control levels of the valve disk 5'6 also open the lines 57, 92 and 93 into the valve housing. The compressed air line 57 leads into a cylinder 58, while the line 93 is guided into a cylinder 94. In the two cylinders 58 and 94, a double piston 59 is slidably mounted, the fork 60 for actuating the Lamellenkupp ment 19 is used.
Another arm 44b of the coupling fork 44 is connected to the claw coupling half 91, which is coupled to the coupling half 9'5 according to FIG. The hitch half 91 is due to a wedge 91a non-rotatably connected to the spindle 1, but in the axial direction on the same ver slidable. The coupling half 95 is rotatable on or on the spindle 1 and carries an eccentric 136. It also has teeth 95a, which are in constant engagement with a gear 13'5 (FIG. 6). The latter is seated on the shaft 134 of a transmission 133, the shaft 132 of which carries a Maltese cross 13b.
With this Maltese cross 131b, a pin 131c of a 'disk 131a works together, which like the wheel 130a is keyed on a shaft 128a. The wheel 130a meshes with a gear 130 on the shaft 12'8 which, in addition to a cam disk 129, carries a further gear '12.7a. The latter is in engagement with a gear 127 which is connected to a shaft 117 via a gear 126, a gear pair 125a, 125 and a transmission gear 1.24.
A transmission 118 is connected to the shaft 117, the shaft 119 of which is connected to a shaft 12: 1a via a universal joint 120, 1, 210a, 121. The last-mentioned shaft 12.1a carries a gear wheel 12'2 which meshes with a gear wheel 122a of the shaft 123 'carrying the milling tool 12'3'a (FIG. 7).
The transmission gear 118 is also on the. Shaft 117 with a Zahnradge transmission 1: 1.6a., 116 connected. The wheel 116 sits on the shaft 114, which also carries the double-disk clutch 113. The coupling part 115 of the coupling 113- is rotatable on the shaft. designed as a gear and meshes with a gear 18a which is keyed to the shaft 1'6.
As described earlier, the latter is in drive connection with the motor 12 via the belt transmission 13 to 15. With the axially movable, on the. Wave 114 does not. Rotatable coupling part 113b of the coupling 113 is a coupling fork 112 1r1 engagement, the latter part of a double piston 111 bi'ld'et .. The piston 111 is in the cylinder 110 or in the cylinder 139 slidably ge leads.
A pressure line 10'9 opens into the cylinder 110, while a pressure line 138 opens into the cylinder 13'9.
These two lines mentioned end at the slide face of the valve disk 108 in the same way as above. described valve which is under the action of a spring 107 and is coupled via a driver pin 106 to an axis 104a which is rotatably mounted in the valve housing 10'5.
A gear 104 is keyed on the axis 104a and meshes with the toothed part 103b of a rod 103. The rod 103 carries a pawl 101 which is under the action of a tension spring 103a attached to the housing 2. The rod 103 is supported on the housing 2 via a compression spring 102. As already mentioned, the shaft 75 carries a cam plate 76 (FIGS. 5 and 7). On the circumference of the latter there is a roller 79 (FIG. 7) which can be rotated about the pin 79 a of a pivot lever 78.
The lever 7 8 itself is pivotable about an axis 78a on the housing 2 and serves as a support for a nose 81a of a sliding block 8'1. The latter is slidable and guided in one arm of a two-armed lever 80 and can be set in its desired position by means of the handwheel .82a and the spindle 82. The other arm of the lever 80 has a toothing with. one correspond to the teeth of a cross slide 83 in a handle, which carries a cross slide 87.
The adjustment of the cross slide 87 on the slide 83 takes place by means of a hand wheel 85 via a spindle 8, 6. The cross slide 87 carries in a known manner a longitudinally displaceable tool carriage 88 which in turn carries a displaceable carriage 89 by means of a transverse guide. The carriage 8.9 is designed as a carrier for a number of turning tools 90 corresponding to the number of rings in the piston ring stack.
A roller 79b, which is rotatable about a pin 79d, rests on the circumference of the above-mentioned cam disk 129. The latter is the one. arranged in a lever 78b which is pivotable about a pin 78d on the housing 2. A link star 81b is supported on the pivot lever 78b by means of its nose 81d, the latter being displaceable in one arm of a two-armed lever 80b.
This displacement is made possible by a hand wheel 82d and a spindle 82b. The lever 80b is around a pin. 80.d is pivotable on the housing 2 and has teeth which engage with corresponding teeth of a cross slide 83b. A cross slide 87b can be moved on the latter by means of a handwheel 85a and a spindle 86a.
The cross slide 87b carries a longitudinally displaceable tool slide 88b, in which the previously mentioned shaft 121, c is stored, which drives the shaft 123 supported in the slide 88b via the gears 12: 2, 122a, on which the milling tool 123a. is attachable. As shown in FIG. 7, the piston ring stack according to FIG. 1 is arranged between the tools 90 and 123a.
To avoid any play in the threads of spindles 86 and 86a. cancel, the carriages 83 and 83b are under the influence of springs 81 and 84a, respectively.
The operation of the Ma sehine described is as follows: First of all, the rotation of a circumferential groove in each order in the piston rings of the stack will be explained in more detail with reference to FIG. The motor <B> 12 </B> is switched on by means of the push-button switch 2! 1 (FIG. 3), whereby the belt drive 13 to 15, the shaft 16 and the gearwheel! 18 the wheel 20 belonging to the coupling <B> 19 </B> is rotated. The latter, however, initially rotates loosely on its shaft 61. Furthermore, the clutch disc 22 is driven by the gear 17 wedged onto the shaft 16 via the wheel 21.
The coupling of the parts to be driven for the turning process. the drive motor 12 can be done in two ways, either by operating the hand lever 23 or the pneumatic valve 11z by means of the hand lever 38.By pivoting the hand lever 23 to the right (FIG. 5), the arm 27 and the handlebar 28 the control rod 31? from their 'position in Figure 5 against the action of the spring 31; moved right. As a result, the cam 26 is pivoted, specifically until it engages behind the protruding nose 32a of the pawl 3.2.
Due to the resilient mounting of the pawl 3 <B> 22 </B>, the lever 23 remains in the set position even after it is released.
The displacement of the 'control rod 30, as mentioned above, can also be accomplished by: turning the handle 3'8. If the latter is rotated into a different position, compressed air is obtained from a compressed air tank, not shown, via line 39, and the three-way valve 11a into line 40 and thus into cylinder 4.1. As a result, the 'control rod 30 is also moved to the right, so that the cam 26 in turn snaps behind the nose 32a of the pawl 32.
The lever 38, which is under the action of a torsion spring, returns to its initial position when released. The consequence of this is that the compressed air that was previously admitted into the cylinder 41 can escape into the open through the lines 40 and 43. By coupling the cam 26 with the pawl 32, however, it is avoided that .the control rod 30 can go back to its original position due to the action of the spring 31.
During the aforementioned movement of the rod 30 to the right, the rod 47 with its teeth 47a has been adjusted against the action of the spring 48 via the arm 44a of the fork 44. The consequence of this is that the spring-loaded valve plate 5! 6 on its control plate formed by the housing wall having the air duct openings has been adjusted via the gear 51, the axle 52 and the driver pins 54. The interior of the housing 53 is under a certain pressure, since compressed air is always supplied from the line 39.
The valve disk 56 is adjusted by the aforementioned movement in such a way that compressed air can reach the cylinder 5, 8 from the interior of the housing 53 via the line 57. This causes the double piston 59 to be displaced to the right and, via the coupling fork 60, the coupling part 19b and the spring 19e, the lamellae in the housing of the coupling part 19a are compressed. By compressing the lamellae in the housing part 19a, a rigid coupling between the shaft 61, the bushing 19c1, the coupling part 19a and the gear 20 is achieved.
It follows from this that the shaft 6, 1 comes into contact with the motor 12. The motor thus drives the coupling half 46a via parts 13 to 20, 61 to 65, 65a and the cam disc 76 via parts 66 to 75. The inevitable connection between the spindle 1 and the driven coupling half 46a is produced by the fact that when Shifting the control shaft 30 to the right (FIG. 5) brings the coupling fork 45, which is firmly pinned on the same, the claw capping half 46, which is wedged axially displaceably on the spindle 1, into engagement with the same.
By shifting the coupling half 46 to the right, the flap 1:00, which engages behind this coupling half 46, is rotated on the pin 1.00a, so that it comes to rest behind the coupling sleeve 46 when the claw coupling 46 and 46c are fully engaged . At the same time brings. with the 'control shaft 30 firmly connected coupling fork @ by means of its arm 44b, the coupling half 91 required for milling out of engagement with. the other claw coupling half 95 ,.
As the coupling fork 44 or its arm 44b move to the right, the pawl 101 (see below) is deprived of its base and pivoted downward on the rod 103 by the spring 103a.
The advance of the turning tools 90 is brought about by the cam disc 76. The shape of the latter determines the type of advance, while the switching disk 77, keyed on the same shaft 75, causes the uncoupling of the spindle 1 from the motor 12.
Due to the corresponding shape of the cam disc 76 (Fig. 7), the lever 78 mounted in the machine housing 2 is pivoted run its pivot pin 78a. Since the surface of the lever 78 forms the bearing surface of the sliding block 81 which can be displaced in the setting of the two-armed lever 80 and which, with its nose 81a, rests on the lever 7:
8, the effective lever ratio between the disk 76 and the toothed arm of the lever 80 is changed by changing the position of the sliding block.
The spring 84, on the one hand, has the effect of eliminating any bearing play and aims. as an important task the pressing .en the nose 81a on the lever 78 or .the roller 79 on the cam 76. By operating the handwheel 85, the cross slide 87 can be adjusted with respect to the cross slide 83 the. As already mentioned, the slide 87 is designed as a support for the longitudinal guide; in which the tool slide 88 moves. The slide 8'8 is adjusted and secured in a manner not shown, which is customary in machine tools.
In the case of your longitudinal slide 8-8, the transverse guide for the slide 8'9 is again provided, the latter serving as a carrier for the turning tools 90. Due to the useful adjustment of parts 87, 88 and 89 in relation to each other Before starting work, the turning tools can be placed on top of each other on the stack of piston rings to be machined. The steels are set to the 'diameter of the rings by means of the handwheel 85 and the groove depth to be milled is set by means of the handwheel 82a.
The single rotation of the control shaft 75 actuates a working cycle, that is, a circumferential groove is screwed into each piston ring of the stack. At the end of such a working cycle, the cam 77a of the disc 77 pushes the bolt 37 upwards (FIG. 5) and thus pivots the pawl 32 against the action of the spring 35. The cam 2.6 is thus released through the nose 32a and the control rod 30 released from its lock.
The spring 31 is now able to move the rod 30 to the left (FIG. 5) into its original starting position. The fixed with the rod 30, connected Kupp treatment fork 45 moves the coupling half 46 also to the left and thus solves. the connection between the gear 46u and the spindle 1.
Furthermore, the coupling fork 44 is adjusted by moving the rod 30 to the left, the arm. 44a releases the rod 47. The thereby relaxing spring 48 causes the double piston 59 to be reversed via the teeth 47c, the gear 51, the axle 52 and the valve plate 56. The adjustment of the plate 56 just mentioned causes the air in the cylinder .58 to pass through the lines 57 and 92 can escape, while the line 93 with the compressed air line 39 comes into connection.
Compressed air thus flows into the cylinder 94 and the piston 59 moves to the left. During this movement, the pressure on: the clutch disks in the clutch part 19a is released, while the clutch disks in the housing 19f are pressed together via the spring 19e. With. When the compression of the clutch disks in part 19a ceases, the shaft 6'1 is decoupled from the gear 20, while the compression of the disks in part 19f, which is firmly connected to the housing 2, has a braking effect on the shaft 61 .. The latter is therefore stopped immediately. In order to. however, any movement in the associated parts 62 to 77 also stops.
Due to the one-time rotation of the shaft 75, however, the ring grooves are completely screwed into the piston rings 4.
Milling the continuous slots in the piston rings at the base of the circumferential groove means that the spindle 1 always assumes the same initial rotational position with respect to the milling cutter 12'3a. For this reason, the claws of the claw coupling sleeve 91 and the other coupling half 95 connected to the coupling fork 44 are so unequal that the two halves can only engage in one another in a single mutual position.
In order to bring the two coupling halves 91 and 95 into engagement with one another, the spindle 1 is now held in slow rotation by the motor via the parts 13 to 17, 21 and the multi-plate clutch 22, 96 to 98. In the driven coupling half 22 is. a lamella 97 through keyways with. same connected. On the bushing 98 carrying the counter-lamellae 96, which by means of wedge la undrebbar with. The spindle 1 is connected. Is with means of pin 99a a. Lever! 99 pivoted ge. This lever 99 carries. the flap 100, which is rotatably mounted on a pin 100a ge.
The flap 1000 is designed so that the lever 99 when. by the coupling fork 45 brought about by the rod 30, the coupling sleeve 46 must move to the left, upwards, since the flap is supported on the lever 99 via the surface 100b.
When the latter is pivoted, its nose 99b presses on the lamellae 96 and 97, so that they are pressed together. and consequently the spindle 1 via the sleeve 98, the housing 22 and the gear 22a to which the motor 12 is coupled. At the moment in which the mutually unequal coupling claws of the coupling sleeve 91 and the correspondingly formed claws of the coupling half 95 can interlock, the sleeve 91 is moved to the left by the arm 44b under the action of the spring 3'1 via the control rod 30 and thus brought into engagement with the coupling half 95 ..
Via the coupling fork 45, the coupling sleeve 46 is pushed to its starting position (Fig. 5) to the left so that the flap 100 on the lever 99 engages behind the coupling sleeve again, whereby the lever 99 returns to its rest position and the pressure on the lamella 96 and, 97 stops. In order to. the spindle 1 has been decoupled from the motor again. At this moment, the control rod 30 has reached its starting position according to FIG. 5 again.
Thus, the milling of the slots in the piston, to be explained with reference to FIG. 6, can begin. At the same moment, in which the coupling halves 9, 1 and 95 are brought into engagement with each other, the arm 44b of the coupling fork 44 meets the end face of its cam 44c against the downwardly pivoted pawl 101 and also pushes it to the left, namely against the action of the spring 102.
With. The adjustment of the pawl 101 is also adjusted by the rod 103 and rotated via the teeth 103b, the gear 104 and the axis 104 of the valve disk 108. Since the inside of the valve housing 105 is always under pressure as a result of its connection with the line 3: 9, compressed air can now pass from the inside of the housing into the line 109 and come from. here in the cylinder 11.0. The double piston 111 with its coupling fork 112 is thus adjusted to the left.
The coupling sleeve 113b thus presses, via the spring 113e, the lamellae accommodated in the housing 113a on one another and effects. thus a firm connection between the coupling sleeve 113d and the gear 115.
As a result, this gear 115 is coupled to the shaft 1'14, and it becomes the rotation of the motor. 1'2 on parts 116 to 12.2a. on the one hand! the milling shaft 123 and on the other hand via the parts 117, 124 to 13! 5 of the coupling sleeve 95 and thus the spindle 1 and the. Eccentric 136 communicated.
The consequence of this. is also that by means of the shaft 128 the cam disk 12! 9 seated on it is set in rotation, the shape of which allows the advance of the! Milling cutter 123a. The actuation of the feed of the milling cutter is carried out in a manner analogous to that of the turning tool feed by the parts drawn on the left in FIG. 7, which are identical to the parts shown on the right for controlling the turning tools 90.
The only difference is that the support of the milling cutter 123a is the longitudinal slide 88b built on the cross slide 87b. The transmission gear 133 causes the shaft 128 to rotate as many rotations per spindle rotation as there are slots on its circumference The piston ring are to be milled. The corresponding number of infeed and retracted positions of the milling cutter with respect to the piston ring stack for milling the desired slots are therefore solely caused by the number of revolutions of the cam 12.9.
The gearbox 13.1 is connected to the drive of the spindle 1, which is driven by the shaft 12: 8 via the gears 130, 130a and the shaft 1'28a) and, as already mentioned, from the disk 131a, your Maltese cross 131b and a pin 131e protruding into the latter on the disk 131.a.
By interposing the Mal teserkreuzes 131b, the spindle 1 is rotated stepwise, the cam disk 129, which causes the feed of the milling cutter, is oriented so that the carriage of the milling cutter moves when the .Spindel 1 is stationary.
By interposing a corresponding gear 133, for example. a five-part Maltese cross also piston rings with five different numbers of slots can be milled. The entire milling drive is switched off automatically after the spindle 1 has been rotated once. To that end is. The eccentric 136 is keyed onto the coupling sleeve 95. Towards the end of the spindle rotation, the 'switching pawl 101 begins to rotate upwards on the rod 10! 3 against the action of the spring 103a by running onto the eccentric 136.
At the same moment in which the pawl 101 is rotated by the eccentric 1.36, whereby the small arm of the pawl from the cam 44e, slid on the arm 44b in front of the cam, the spring 102 is able to move the rod 103 to the right. In order to. the valve disk 108 is reversed on its slide surface, so that the air from the cylinder 110 can pass through the line 109 and the valve disk 108 into the line 13'7 and into the open. From the line 39, however, compressed air passes through the line 138 into the cylinder 1'39, which is why the double piston 111 moves to the right.
Its coupling fork 11'2 also displaces the coupling sleeve 113b to the right and, via the spring 113e, causes the coupling disks in the housing of the coupling part 113f to be compressed.
However, since the housing 113f is firmly connected to the machine housing 2, the shaft 114 is quickly connected to the stationary housing 2, that is to say, the while 114 is stopped. At the same time, the lamellae in the housing 113a can separate from one another, so that the gear wheel 1'15 is uncoupled from the shaft 114.
It is clear that the milling drive is now decoupled from the motor and only. the latter with the belt drive 13 to 15, the shaft 16 and the wheels 18c and 1; 15 and the wheels 17, 21, 22 and 18, 20, continues. The parts 115, 22 and 20, rotate loosely on the shaft 114 or 1 or 61, at this moment. the piston rings are completely machined. As can be seen from the above, the grooves in the piston rings are first turned and then the desired number of slots are milled in the piston rings.
So it is only necessary on the one hand to couple the piston ring stack with the spindle 1 and to move the control shaft 30 to the right by Actuate conditions of the hand lever 23 or the pneumatic valve 11a. From this control shaft 30, as explained above, all other control elements are influenced and all necessary operations are necessarily carried out and the working parts of the machine are decoupled from the motor after work is completed. So you only have to remove the finished piston ring stack from the Spin del 1 and replace it with a new stack. With this, however, the whole work cycle can be started again
The control of the machine can take place. with pneumatic and hydraulic control saddles.
Instead of the milled slots, holes can also be drilled into the piston rings. In this case, instead of the milling cutter, a corresponding number of drills are arranged on the slide and brought into operative connection with the shaft 121a.
