An Flüssiggas, z. B. ein Propan-Butan-Gemiseh, werden etwa 40 g eingefüllt.
Method and device for filling spray containers.
There are spray containers, e.g. B. aerosol cans, known that with atomizing liquids, such as oils, paints, insecticides and the like, and a certain amount of an atomizer gas, preferably a liquid gas, z. B. a propane-butane mixture, under the name Freon gas be known difluorodichloromethane or similar gases are filled. Solehe spray cans are also used for oil-graphite mixtures with which z. B. motor vehicles are sprayed. The contents of such aerosol cans are under the pressure of the liquid gas.
It is particularly advantageous. to use such substances as liquid gas that dissolve in the atomizer liquid. If the gas pressure is released, the liquid emerges from the nozzle. By operating a valve, the content is sprayed at the desired location. If the compressed gas has largely dissolved in the atomizing liquid, the spray effect can be further intensified by the expansion of the compressed gas dissolved in the individual droplets and then results in an extremely effective fine mist.
The spray cans are filled in such a way that the spray cans are initially held open on one side through which the 61 is filled. The liquid gas is then introduced. In order for the atomizing gas to remain liquid and evaporate as little as possible, the filling process, which is already cumbersome, generally has to be carried out with the aid of artificial cooling to around -20 ° C, which requires an expensive ice system. Nevertheless, especially in summer, considerable liquid gas losses due to evaporation of the gas, which amount to at least 60 I / o, are to be expected. Without a cooling system, the gas losses would be 90-95 / o.
The known spray cans must be discarded soon after they have been emptied. In order to be able to use them again, they are rejected; however, this reduces the volume with each new reuse, which makes sales more difficult. So you either have to forgive the reuse of the cans or accept that spray cans of different dimensions are on the market.
The present invention relates to a method and a device for filling spray containers with atomizing liquid and liquid gas without the need for artificial cooling. With the method according to the invention it is possible not only to bring about the filling of the liquefied gas at the usual temperature, but the further considerable advantage is achieved that the filling also takes place with virtually no loss of liquefied gas. Apart from the saved costs, the security of the environment and the smoothness of operation are also a further advantage.
Finally, the essential advantage is achieved that after emptying the spray cans can be refilled repeatedly and used several times without the disadvantages described above.
On the attached drawing sheet, the device according to the invention is shown in an exemplary embodiment. In the following, the method itself is also explained, for example, on the basis of the same.
Fig. 1 shows a known type of spray can in longitudinal section,
Fig. 2 in a longitudinal section an associated spray valve,
Fig. 3 in longitudinal section a filling valve placed on the spray valve,
Fig. 4 in cross section the attachment part of the filling valve to the mouthpiece and
Fig. 5 shows the adjacent part of the mouthpiece in longitudinal section.
The spray can a according to Fig. 1 is cylindrical. The base areas b ′ and b ″ are bulged inwardly in a spherical shape because of the prevailing pressure conditions.
In the upper closure part b'is arranged a spray valve c closed with a cap w, which extends through the closure in a sealed manner. Bin drilling t extends to the bottom b "of the spray can a.
The spray valve c shown separately in FIG. 2 in the open or relaxed position consists of the valve body d, which is fastened in any way in the cover V of the spray can. In the bore of the valve body d is the valve pin g, which is under the pressure of a spring 7c and is conical at its lower end for the purpose of improving the flow. Both the borehole of the valve pin g and the narrow borehole part m of the valve body d are closed by a valve disk c which is mounted in the head f of the valve pin g.
The valve disc e closing the bore is opened by a push pin l which is guided with ample play through the narrow bore part m of the valve body d. This bore part m leads into a chamber n which is in communication with an atomizer nozzle o and is closed off from the outside by a membrane p and the cap w. The upper end of the pressure pin I rests against this membrane. The position of the membrane p when the spray valve is closed, ie under gas pressure, is shown in dashed lines.
A spray can provided with the spray valve c described above has so far been made ready for operation in such a way that the upper opening through the cover b ', to which the spray valve c was soldered, was closed by beading. In the spray can that remained open at the bottom, after it had been turned over, first the ai-using atomizing liquid and then, after cooling the entire system to about -20 C, the liquid gas was filled through the still open bottom.
The base b ″ was then placed on top and flanged with the sealing machine, after which the spray can was ready for use.
By means of the fill valve described, the liquid gas and the atomizing liquid are filled in through the spray valve c of the spray can.
The filling valve according to Fig. 3, which - rotated by 90 and on a reduced scale b - also shows the parts of the spray valve c of Fig. 2 which are fixedly arranged on the can a, consists of the valve body q, in which a valve stem or pin r is inserted is. This valve pin carries a lifted or riveted valve head s. Sealing a related party, z. B. inserted, screwed in or soldered to the valve body q, is the hose mouthpiece t, which is connected to the liquid gas line.
A mandrel u is arranged on the valve pin r. Before the liquid gas enters the valve chambers z, as shown in FIGS. 4 and 5, a jet splitter x is arranged in the mouthpiece t, which is soldered into the mouthpiece on the three wings and which mi the liquid gas for the purpose of better distribution . the valve head s passes into the holes y of the valve body.
The function of the filling valve is as follows:
The cap w of the spray valve c is lifted off together with the membrane p for the filling process and the pressure pin l is removed. (In practice, the cap w with the membrane p and the pressure pin l are only inserted after the aerosol can has been filled.) As shown in Fig. 3, the filling valve c attached to the aerosol can a with the protruding mandrel of the valve pin r attached, advantageously with a sealing rubber washer in between. However, the other way around, you can also place the spray valve on the filling valve.
The Do, rn now presses on the valve disc e in such a way that it is removed from its seat. As a result, both the bore of the valve pin g is opened and the valve pin r is raised with the valve disc s; the liquid gas now flows directly from the gas bottle with its own pressure or pressure generated by a pump or by increasing the temperature or through a gradient through the valve chamber z, the channels y and an antechamber through the spray valve c and from there into the riser i of the spray can. The loss of liquid gas with this filling method is a maximum of 5-10%.
When enough liquid gas has entered the spray can, the filling valve is removed. When the filling process is completed and the filling valve is removed, the liquid gas presses the valve disk s into its old seat, because after the valve bodies q and d have separated, they no longer exert any pressure against the mandrel n. On the other hand, the pressure generated in the spray can a presses the valve disk e against its seat in front of the bore part m.
The pressure in the line t and the pressure present in the spray can close the valves in this way, each for itself, so that at the same time the flow of liquid gas is shut off and the spray can closes. In this way, losses when filling the liquid gas are largely avoided. Now the pressure pin l des
Spray valve c reinstalled, and the
Spray can is ready for work. Through the
The gas pressure of the can filling closes the valve disk e, as indicated, the spray valve c, which is actuated in a manner known per se by a pressure on the membrane p from the outside
Use is opened.
The filling valve can also be installed in a clamping device arranged on a scale. If a new or already brewed spray can, which has been tested to 12 atmospheres, is then pressed onto the filling valve by hand, it is held on the flange by three claws of the clamping device.
Both the spray valve and the fill valve open. The filling valve is first connected to the reservoir for the atomizer liquid, e.g. B. a graphite spray oil for car care, of which for example 190g (= 200 cm3) are filled.
Then the filling valve, e.g. B. by means of a rubber hose a, connected to the liquid gas bottle. In the gas supply line is a manometer ter monitoring the gas bottle, the z. B. to ai 25 atm operating pressure can be loaded, switched on. The filling amount of liquid gas is read off the pointer of the balance 2 g exactly and controlled by a gas bottle valve, or measured in the amount.
In order to increase the pressure gradient from the gas cylinder to the can, the gas cylinder can be heated up to 40 ° C and the cylinder pressure can be increased. On liquefied gas, e.g. B. a propane-butane mixture, about 40 g are filled.
