Impeller for centrifugal fan with axial inlet and radial outlet. The impellers for fans are provided with blades, the shape and position of which corresponds to the required pressure level. The large number of these wheels works with an efficiency that can be improved, since the flow processes, especially at the inlet of the fan wheel, are not yet sufficiently known. The consequence of this is the destruction of energy at the blade leading edges.
The object of the invention is now to reduce the losses when the air enters the impeller and to improve the directing of the flow from the axial to the radial direction.
It consists in the fact that, in an axial section of the wheel, the blade in the inlet extends obliquely from the point at which the radius of curvature of the top surface takes on a finite value to the front edge of the hub and the inlet edge of the blade is pulled forward into the inlet opening, In an axial projection of the wheel from the inlet, the chord of the inlet edge, which is concavely curved in the running direction, lies in a radial plane and the almost straight back line of the blade is tangent to the shaft,
and that the blade shape from the inlet to the transition into the radial part is created by a helical twist. This design of the blade achieves favorable flow conditions in the flow channel. The efficiency of the fan is therefore considerably improved. The stress on the blade from the air flow is low.
In the accompanying drawing, an exemplary embodiment of the invention is shown. 1 shows a vertical section through an impeller half with a blade in view, FIG. 2 shows a view of an impeller half with a blade from the inlet, FIG. 3 shows a view of the impeller partially broken open to show a blade and 4 shows a diagrammatic representation of an impeller with suction on both sides.
Figures: 1 to 3 show the blade 1 of the centrifugal fan in side view, front view and top view. The shovel is fixed between the back surface 2, the back disc 3 and the top surface 4 and extends in the inlet 5 to the hub. Its relatively long inlet edge 7 is drawn forward into the inlet opening 8. The chord of the concave curved inlet edge 7 seen in the direction of the running direction lies in an axial projection of the wheel from the inlet in a radial plane. This means that the incoming air is well captured and passed on.
So that the detection takes place smoothly at every point of the inlet edge, the entry angle from point to point along the entry edge must match the angle of incidence of the air relative to the impeller. The entry angle ss1 is shown by
EMI0002.0002
Here, cl means the absolute speed prevailing at the point, u1 the associated peripheral speed, and wl means the relative speed.
The back line 9 of the shovel, ie the part of the same opposite to the working side, is approximately straight in the projection into the image plane of FIG. 2 and is arranged in such a way that its extension is tangent to the shaft 10. In order not to capture the air without loss, but also to divert it from the axial direction to the radial flow direction, a constant change in the angle of the air relative to the impeller along the flow paths from the size of the inlet angle to the size of the outlet angle is necessary ss2 required.
This constant change is achieved through a helical twisting of the blade from the inlet to the transition into the radial part. At the outlet, the blade can run as shown or be curved backwards.
