Description
Mixing machine. The present invention relates to a machine for mixing and kneading concrete or bare substances, comprising a rotating cylinder and a mixing or agitating member capable of rotating about its axis and mounted eccentrically with respect to the cylinder.
The object of the present invention is to provide a machine in which the stirring and kneading are considerably improved and take place rapidly.
This goal is achieved in the. machine according to the invention, thanks to means provided for rotating the rotary agitator member around the axis of the cylinder in the opposite direction to that of the. cylinder rotation.
These means can be practically realized in a very simple and efficient way by combining. in a single driven mechanical group, the drive means which ensure. the rotation of the agitator around its own axis with the drive means causes it to rotate the agitator around the axis <In cylinder; training is. produced by the rotation of the cylinder, for example of the. my following:
The cylinder can. rotate on a fixed axis by means of a central sleeve el rotation of the agitator around its own axis is. derived from a first spur gear mounted on this manehon; the agitator and. the intermediate gears trans- ii:
and the rotation of this toothed wheel to the agitator journalled. in a rotating arm itself around the axis of the cylinder, and a toothed pinion of the intermediate gear train meshes with a second wheel. straight teeth, wedged on the fixed shaft, the dis position being such that, when the cylinder rotates, this toothed pinion rolls on this second spur gear wheel in a direction opposite to that of the rotation of the cylinder.
A particular embodiment of the invention will now be described, by way of example, with reference to the accompanying drawing.
This drawing shows schematically an axial section of a machine intended to mix and. to mix concrete.
The cylinder 1 is rotatably mounted on the fixed shaft 3 by means of a central sleeve \ ?; the shaft 3 is mounted in a frame 4 provided with rollers 5 which can rotate freely and which support the cylinder laterally; the latter is driven externally by a conical pinion 6 meshing with a conical toothed crown 7 integral with the cylinder; the axis of the conical pigeon 6 is mounted in an extension called frame 4 and carries a pulley driven by a motor.
The axis 9 of the agitator 8 can be journaled in an arm 10 mounted free and rotating on the sleeve 2. The rotation of the agitator 8 around its own axis is carried out by it intermediate train of gears 11-13 always. roaring. inside the arm, and the driving force necessary for this rotation is provided by a spur gear 14 forming an integral part of the sleeve 2.
An extension of the toothed pinion 11 d-ïi intermediate gear train or an independent toothed pinion mounted on the axis of the toothed pig-noli 11 meshes with a toothed wheel 15 with straight teeth wedged on the shaft 3; a differential gear train is thus produced which, when the cylinder rotates, enables the agitator to rotate around its own axis and at the same time around the axis of the cylinder in a direction opposite to that of the rotation of it.
The experience a. shown that thus achieves a considerably improved and accelerated stirring compared to known machines in which the agitator rotates only around its own axis.
