Method of operating a multi-stage axial flow compressor. The present invention relates to a method for operating a multi-stage axial flow compressor and a device for carrying out the process. The aim of the invention is to provide means that make it possible to keep the degree of efficiency of the compressor constant over a relatively large speed range. It is common practice to drive such a compressor at a certain speed which corresponds to the normal operating state of the compressor. This speed is usually in a high ratio to the maximum working speed of the compressor.
The characteristics of the compressor blades, such as pitch, profile, angle of attack, are therefore selected in such a way that they result in maximum efficiency at the speed for which the compressor is built, that is, at the rated speed. At speeds that are lower than this nominal speed, that is, if the pressure increase per stage is smaller than the nominal pressure increase, there is a tendency for an accelerated flow from the inlet to the outlet of the compressor, since the overall nominal density ratio is not reached.
This acceleration of the flow is reflected in a reduction in the axial speed at the compressor inlet and a corresponding increase at the outlet. It has been shown that reducing the axial speed at the inlet of the compressor causes
that the rotor blades of the inlet stages of the compressor and sometimes also the guide vanes of the first compressor stages work with a significantly larger angle of attack than at the design point of the compressor. If the speed of the compressor falls below a certain value, this large angle of attack causes the flow to break off at the blades, which considerably reduces the efficiency of the compressor.
It has already been proposed to increase the swirl of the gases leaving the guide vanes in order to achieve a more favorable angle of attack of the air flowing into the following blades. Furthermore, it has already been proposed to draw off air from a subsequent stage of the compressor, whereby the axial speed of the air flowing through the preceding stages of the compressor is increased.
It has been shown that the outflow angle of the air is most likely to be adversely affected in that part of the blades which is closest to the blade tip, that is to say approximately over the radially outer third of the blade length.
In order to avoid the mentioned disadvantage, a method for operating a multi-stage axial compressor is proposed according to the invention, in which additional working fluid is introduced into the compressor so that it flows over radially outer parts of blades of the inlet stage of the compressor when the compressor speed is below a The predetermined value, which is smaller than the value of the nominal speed of the compressor, falls in addition to the working fluid normally sucked in through the compressor inlet.
Appropriately, the mentioned introduction takes place approximately over the radial outer third of the blade length of the blades of the first stage of the compressor.
The device according to the invention for carrying out the method is characterized by means for introducing additional working fluid into the compressor in such a way that it flows over radially outer parts of blades of the inlet stage of the compressor, in addition to the working fluid normally sucked in through the compressor inlet, when the compressor speed falls below a predetermined value which is smaller than the value of the nominal speed of the compressor.
In one embodiment of the compressor, means are provided for controlling the introduction of the additional working fluid into the compressor, specifically automatically as a function of the speed or an operating variable of the compressor, which changes with the compressor rotor speed. These control means expediently have a control device which is based on an operating size (e.g.
B. the compressor speed, the corrected speed, the compressor delivery pressure or the compression ratio of the compressor) responds, and which is intended to prevent the introduction of additional working fluid when the said operating variable is certain when the speed of the compressor increases Value, and to enable the introduction if the size of the company falls below the specified value with a reduction in speed.
In a further embodiment, the means for introducing additional working fluid can be designed in such a way that this additional working fluid is introduced through the air inlet of the compressor.
In addition to the means for introducing additional working fluid into the compressor, there may also be means for tapping air from one of the subsequent stages of the compressor.
In a further embodiment, in addition to the means for introducing additional working fluid, means are provided for adjusting the adjustment of the inlet guide vanes of the compressor, uni at speeds that are lower than the nominal speed, the swirl of the gases leaving these blades enlarge. The means for introducing additional working fluid and the setting means for the guide vanes are expediently designed so that they are effective at the same time.
In this case, the means for introducing additional working fluid are advantageously arranged so that the working fluid introduced immediately in front of the adjustable guide vanes is swirled.
In the accompanying drawings, some exemplary embodiments of the device for carrying out the method are shown, on the basis of which the method is explained as an example. It shows: Fig. 1 some velocity vectors in the first compressor stage near the blade roots, Fig. Yes and 1h speed triangles corresponding to Fig. 1 at high and low compressor speeds, respectively, Fig.

F sharp. 8 is a view of a further example of a compressor and FIG. 9 shows a control device as can be used in the examples according to FIGS. 3-7 and 8.
3 to 7, an Axialkompres sensor is shown, which is intended to generate compressed air for the combustion device of a gas turbine system that can be used as an aircraft engine. The compressor has a rotor 10 which has a plurality of rotor blade rings 10a, 10b, 10e, 10d, 10e, 10f, 10g, 10h, 10j, 10k, 10m, of which only one blade is shown for reasons of convenience.
The compressor also has a stator housing 11, in which in a known manner guide vane rings 12a, 12b, 12c, 12d, 12e, l2f, 12g, 12h, 12j, 12k are arranged, each downstream of the associated rotor blade ring. Furthermore, a ring of inlet guide vanes 13 is arranged in the stator housing upstream of the rotor blades 10 of the first compressor stage. As usual, a rotor blade ring and the guide blade ring immediately following it are referred to as a compressor stage.
The compressor is designed so that air can be drawn off from one of the rear stages and reintroduced into the compressor at the inlet when the compressor speed is lower than the nominal speed of the compressor in order to improve the compressor efficiency. In this case he follows the introduction to increase the axial speed of the working fluid on the outer part of the blades by a greater amount than on the inner blade parts.
The stator housing 11 is in two parts; the two parts 11a and 11b are screwed together on the flan's 11c. The part 11 a has inner longitudinal ribs 14 which are used to stiffen the housing and spacer rings 15 wear z. B. were poured during the manufacture of the housing. The housing part 11a is expediently composed of two semi-cylindrical parts, the spacer rings 15 and other individual parts of the housing are also in two parts.
The axially facing edges of the spacer rings 15, which also form cover rings for the rotor blades, are grooved to accommodate the flanges 16a, the individual roots 16 of the guide vanes 12a, 12h, 12e, 12d, 12e, 12f and 121c and the flanges 17a of the ring elements 17, which carry the guide vanes 12g, 12h, 12j of those vane stages from which air can be drawn off. As a result, the guide vanes and ring elements 17 are secured in their position. The guide blades 12g, 121z, 12j engage with them. their outer ends 18 in recesses in the rings 17 and are z. B. held in place by soldering.
The ring elements 17 have a U-shaped cross section and have openings 19 through which compressed air. can flow from the work channel into the collecting channels 20 in the interior of the ring elements 17. The ge-called collecting channels 20 are completed by ring-shaped discs 21, which are also useful if in two parts. The edges of the discs 21 sit in good 22 in the inner and outer legs of the ring elements 17, whereby the discs 21 are secured in their position.
During operation of the compressor, air flows from the collecting channels 20 through openings 23 in the central webs of the ring elements 17, the flow being controlled by rotatable Ven tilkörper 24 with an annular recess; the recesses of these valve bodies 24 are directed inwards, where openings 25 are provided in the latter for cooperation with the openings 23.
The valve bodies 24 are provided with radial projections 26 which protrude through slots 27 in the outer legs of the ring elements 17. The projections 26 engage in helical slots 28 in a rod 29 which has a shaft 30 which protrudes through the housing wall 11a and is connected to the piston 31a of a hydraulic servomotor 31.
The slots 27 are completed by Dichtungsplat 32 th, which are rotatably connected to the rotatable valve bodies 24 ble.
The servomotor 31 is intended to completely close the openings 23 by bringing the openings 25 completely out of alignment with the openings 23 when the speed of the compressor or another operating variable of the latter, which depends on the compressor speed, precedes one exceeds a certain value. Furthermore, this device serves to initiate the opening of these openings when the speed or another dependent on it operating variable of the compressor falls below a certain vorbe value. The arrangement can be such that the openings begin to open when falling below a value slightly different from the predetermined value by z. B. the slots 28 are made slightly wider than the jumps 26 engaging in them.
In the example shown, the air emerging from the collecting spaces 20 through the openings 25, 23 enters longitudinal channels 33 which are formed between the ribs 14 and flows forward towards the inlet of the compressor and into channels 34 which are formed between ribs 35. The ribs 35 connect the outer wall of the housing part 11b with an inner wall 36 which borders parts of the working duct of the compressor and supports the ring of inlet guide vanes 13 by means of the flanges 13b on the cover plates 13a of the guide vanes 13, which flanges in Grooves of the Be th an annular channel in the wall 36 engage.
The channels 34 open at their front end into outlets 37a, 37b arranged on the circumference, which in turn open into the inlet of the compressor. The outlet 37a is formed between an inwardly and rearwardly curved surface 11d at the front end of the housing part 11b and an annular vane 38 which is carried by the ribs 35. The outlet 37b is formed between this blade 38 and a curved front edge 36a of the wall 36. The outlets 37a, 37b are directed rearward and the air from the channels 34 is introduced through these outlets over approximately the outer third of the length of the inlet guide vanes 13 and the vanes 10a and 12r of the first compressor stage.
In the following, an explanation of the effect that can be achieved will be given using the diagrams shown in FIGS. 1, 1a, 1 ", 2, 2a and 2b: In FIGS. 1 and 2, S blades of the first guide vane ring mean the first 1st stage, P blades of the first blade ring and IGV inlet guide vanes of the compressor.
It has already been mentioned that at speeds that are lower than the nominal speed of the compressor, if the pressure increase per stage is smaller than the nominal pressure increase, there is a tendency for the flow to accelerate from the inlet to the outlet of the compressor and that it does so leads to a reduction in the axial speed at the compressor inlet.
In the drawing, 1-o denotes the size and direction of the speed of the working fluid at the outlet of the inlet guide vanes 13 of the compressor; Z 'is the circumferential speed of the blade; V, is the relative speed of the working fluid at the inlet of the rotor blades 10a. at the design point of the compressor.
The vertical distance V_ @ represents the axial speed, V. the relative outlet speed of the working fluid, and the resultant of V., and I 'is V3, which is the vector, the absolute speed of the working fluid at the inlet of the guide vanes 12a of the first stage represents.
The horizontal distance V @ v, represents the change in the swirl of the working fluid during the flow through the first stage, and it should be noted that the change in swirl Vw multiplied by the circumferential speed U and the mass flowing through is a measure represents the work done on the working fluid by the roots of the blades.
The index H relates to high speeds and the index I to low speeds.
It should be noted that the blades are arranged at the design point in such a way that the entry angle of the working fluid both z11 on the rotor blades 10a and on the guide vanes ha of the first compressor stage has a value that allows the desired pressure ratio to be achieved, where these angle values so are chosen so that the inlet angle is smaller than the angle causing a release from the flow.
If the compressor speed drops from the nominal value to a lower value, the ratio of the axial speed VA to the peripheral speed U decreases, i.e. the ratio VAL: UL compared to the ratio VAH: UH. It can be seen that the angle of the vector V1L, the relative entry speed, to the axial direction increases compared to that of the vector V1H, so that the blades work at a larger angle of attack. The ratio of the swirl change VW. the circumferential speed Z also increases slightly, from the ratio VWH: UH to VWL: UL.
2a and 2b show speed triangles for the speeds at the tip parts of the blades. It has shown that under all operating conditions, when the air is sucked in exclusively from the atmosphere, the axial speed VA at the blade tip is less than the axial speed at the blade root, due to the known centrifugal pressure gradient. The static pressure at the tip part of the blade is, due to the effect of centrifugal force, greater than that at the blade root by an amount given by the equation
EMI0005.0011
given is.
Since the dynamic pressure hardly changes from the tip to the root of the blade at the compressor inlet, it follows that the resulting speed of the working fluid at the blade tip is lower than that at the blade root, and thus also the axial speed. If, as is usually the case, the swirl component at the blade tip is greater than that at the root, then the axial speed at the blade tip is reduced even more compared to that at the blade root.
In this context it should be noted that while the use of adjustable guide vanes to increase the swirl at low speeds improves performance, the disruptive effect of the centrifugal pressure gradient in compressors with small root / tip diameter ratios negates the advantage of the increased swirl as well can, whereby a separation of the flow can occur at the tips. In this case, it has been shown to be expedient to introduce working fluid at the same time as increasing the twist, as will be described with reference to FIG.
As a result of the smaller ratio VA: U at the blade tips, the wind speed triangles are elongated in the horizontal direction, as can be seen in FIGS. 2a and 2b.
If the axial speed is reduced at lower speed of the compressor than the nominal speed, from the value V #H to the value VAL, takes. the change in swirl relative to the corresponding L: m initial speed from the value Vw.H to the value 1WL.
The angle of the relative entry speed of the working fluid to the axial direction increases from the value delimited by the line V111 to the value delimited by the line V1L; the angle of attack for the blades also increases. It can also be seen that the angle of incidence of the guide vanes of the first stage also increases in the same way. As a result of the great inclination of the tips of the blades, it has been shown that the adverse effect of the increase in the angle of attack is greater at the tips than at the roots of the blades.
It has also shown that if the blade angles are such that they work most favorably at the rated speed of the compressor, the angle of attack at the blade tips increases to such a value at low speeds that the blades become detached, so that the efficiency of the compressor drops noticeably.
It can be seen that the smaller the ratio of the blade root diameter to the tip diameter, the greater the unfavorable effect.
The increased swirl also causes a reduction in the axial speed VAL at the blade tip, while an increase in the speed V AL at the root is a result of the centrifugal pressure gradient. Increasing the swirl can thus increase the risk of the flow separating at the tip of the saw blade.
The introduction of additional working fluid, as mentioned above, serves to increase the real axial speed at the tip part of the blade and consequently to increase the vector VD so that its size approaches the value VoL ', which is in the same ratio (VOL' : UL) is related to the circumferential speed UL of the rotor, as with the ratio un application point, which is V oH: UH.
The inlet angle of the working fluid relative to the rotor blade, based on the axial direction, is thereby reduced to a value which approaches the value at the design point, i.e. V1H, and in the same way it can be seen that the angle of the fluid Flow at the inlet of the first guide vanes is also brought to a value which approaches that at the design point of the compressor. It should be noted that the introduction of additional working fluid occurs in two ways at an angle corresponding to the vector VOL.
The axial speed of the working fluid at low compressor speeds can thus be reduced to a value that comes close to that at the design point of the compressor, and this can only be done by injecting additional working fluid upstream of those blades whose efficiency improves who should, or this can be done partly by introducing additional working fluid and partly by tapping working fluid in a known manner from one of the last compressor stages.
The introduction of additional working fluid can be combined with changing the angular position of the guide blades upstream of the rotor blades, the efficiency of which is to be improved; Compressors, in which this is provided, can also be provided with means for drawing off working fluid from the rear compressor stages.
It should be noted that, as the diagrams show, the improvement in the degree of efficiency is not limited to that level which follows the point of introduction of additional working fluid; the inlet angles at the blades of subsequent stages are also more favorable and the efficiency of these stages is consequently improved.
While with normally built compressors the drawing of full working fluid from the rear stages of the compressor and the arrangement of adjustable swirl vanes increase the axial speed over the entire length of the vanes from the roots to the tip, the very level design of the compressor can be used for this . to increase the axial speed only via the outer # bucket part.
this means. in the tip part of the Sehaufeln. It has been shown that the increase in the axial speed. in the outermost third of the blade, measured in the radial direction, prevents the flow from separating in the first blade stages.
In the example according to FIG. 8, not only is additional working fluid supplied to the outer parts of the first compressor stages through the outlets 37a, 37b, which additional working fluid is expediently tapped air from the last compressor stages, but also the inlet guide vanes 13 immediately in front of the first rotor blade wreath 10a are designed to be adjustable to increase the swirl at speeds below a certain vorbe value, which is less than the rated speed of the compressor.
To adjust the guide vanes 13, outer and inner spindles 40, 41 are before companions, which engage in the stator housing and allow the blades 13 to rotate about their longitudinal axes. The guide vane 13 shown has a spindle 40 which protrudes outward through the housing wall 11b and at its outer end carries an arm 42 which is connected to the piston 31a of a servo motor 31; the same servo motor is used to rotate the rotatable nozzles by means of the rods 30.
Each of the inner spindles 41 protrudes through the inner wall 44 of the working duct of the compressor and carries at its inner end an arm 45 which in turn engages in a notched ring 64 which is rotatably mounted in the wall 44.
Accordingly, when the drawn blade 13 is rotated about its longitudinal axis by means of the servo motor 31, the arm 45 connected to it rotates the ring 46 around the compressor axle and thus the entire ring of the other guide vanes 13 via the arms 45 at the same time Shovels 13.
The introduction of additional working fluid and the adjustment of the inlet guide vanes 13 is controlled in such a way that, when the compressor speed or one of the compressor operating parameters dependent on it, e.g. B. the corrected speed (the same
EMI0007.0012
is, where N is the real speed and To is the inlet temperature) or the Kompres sorauslassdruck or the compression ratio of the compressor, exceeds a predetermined value, no introduction takes place or the blades 13 are moved to their normal position, and if the speed is a certain or fall below a value deviating slightly from this, an introduction of additional working fluid follows or
the blades 13 are adjusted in such a position that they cause an increase in twist. The introduction of additional working fluid and the adjustment of the swirl blades expediently take place simultaneously. Both processes can e.g. B. also take place successively in order to avoid excessive, sudden changes in the flow conditions. If the lead and adjustment of the guide vanes is carried out one after the other, it is advisable to first adjust the swirl vanes during an increase in speed and to return them to their starting position after the introduction of additional working fluid when the speed decreases.
To control the introduction of additional working fluid and / or the adjustment of the inlet guide vanes, a speed controller of a known type can be provided. Such a regulator can be designed to control the four-turnable valve bodies 24, through which air is drawn off from the compressor, or the guide vanes 13 or both.
On the other hand, the Steuermit tel can have a membrane or the like, which is exposed to the final compressor pressure, or two membranes can be seen, of which one is exposed to the final pressure of the compressor and the other to the inlet pressure of the compressor.
In the latter case, the membranes are connected to a rotatably mounted bar that is intended to open the openings through which air is tapped from the compressor. is when the compressor pressure ratio a predetermined wide; falls below when the rotor speed of the compressor drops. In the former case, on the other hand, the membrane is arranged in such a way that it opens the openings when the compressor end pressure falls below a predetermined value when the rotor speed of the compressor falls.
The control of the rotatable valve body 24 and the adjustable guide vanes 13 can be made in such a way that, if the compressor speed drops continuously from a certain value before, the amount of additionally introduced working fluid continuously increases or that the guide vanes are continuously adjusted to increasing the swirl of the incoming air, or both at the same time. A control device is shown, for example, in FIG.
With this design of the control device, the introduction of additional working fluid through openings 37a, 37b or the adjustment of the swirl vanes or both together is controlled as a function of the speed of the compressor. It is assumed that the compressor is part of a gas turbine system, so that a fuel pump 47 of the system can be used to supply control and pressure fluid for the servo motors 31. The pump 47 is driven by the system, as is indicated in FIG. 8, where the drive is removed from the machine shaft 48 at 49 so that the pump motor is driven at a speed proportional to the compressor speed.
The pump rotor has a central bore 51, which leads to a number of approximately radial bores 53 full of a suction line 52 of the pump. These bores connect the bore 51 with a chamber 54 which contains the pump rotor 50.
The pump rotor also has a ring of inclined bores 55. Each of these bores contains a reciprocating piston 56. The piston movement is controlled by a spring 56 and a saw disk mechanism 58; the inclination angle of the swash plate is adjustable. in order to be able to adjust the fuel supply to the system. When the pump rotor 50 rotates, the pistons 56 bounce back and forth in the bores 55 and suck fuel from the inlet opening 52a of the pump, which is in communication with the suction line 52 of the pump. As a result, fuel is pumped under pressure through the outlet opening 59a into the delivery line 59, which is connected to the combustion device (not shown) of the system.
In this exemplary embodiment, the pressurized fuel in the delivery line 59 is used to feed the servo motor 31. The fuel in the chamber 54, however, is used to control the servo motor for determining the position of the piston 31a in its cylinder.
Each hydraulic servo motor 31 has a cylinder 31b in which the piston 31a works, and a control mechanism 60 by means of which the position of the piston 31a for cylinder 31b is determined. Inside the cylinder 31b two sleeves 61, 62 are arranged on which the piston rod is guided. The piston head 63 is arranged on the rod of the piston 31a between the sleeves 61 and 62 in such a way that these sleeves serve as stops for the piston which limit the lubrication. The piston 31a is hollow and its interior is in communication with the cylinder chamber 65 on one side of the piston head 63 through a bore 64.
As a result, the effective cross-sectional area on the side of the piston facing the chamber 65 is larger than that on the other side of the piston which is facing a cylinder 66. The cylinder 31b has a connection piece 67, to which the delivery line 59 is generally closed by means of a branch line 93. At the front connection piece 6 7 bores 68, 69 lead to the chamber 65 or 66.
The bore 69, which leads to the chamber 65 on that side of the piston head 63 which has the larger effective cross-sectional area, has a throttle 70, the purpose of which is evident from the following. The control mechanism 60 is attached to that end of the cylinder 31b which is closer to the piston side with the larger effective cross-sectional area. The control mechanism 60 has a chamber divided into two compartments 71 and 72; the division effects a flexible membrane 73.
The compartment 71 closer to the cylinder 31b is connected to the suction line 52 of the fuel pump 47 by a connector 74 and a branch line 75, while the other compartment 72 is connected to the chamber 54 of the fuel pump 47 by a connector 76 and a line 77 is connected, which pressure fluid is supplied, the pressure of which is proportional to the speed of the compressor. As a result, the diaphragm 73 is exposed on the one hand (in the direction towards the cylinder 31b) to a pressure which is a function of the respective compressor speed.
The membrane 73 is also loaded by a spring 78 which is arranged in the interior of the hollow piston rod of the piston 31u. For this purpose, an axially directed neck 79, in which a bore is provided, is provided on the end wall of the cylinder 31b. In this bore sits a sleeve 80 which holds a slidable bumper 81 ent; one end of this rod rests against a stop 73 a, which is provided on the membrane 7 3, while the other Stan end against a stop 81 b for the spring 78 rests. The other stop of the spring 78 is formed by the piston 3la.
The rod 81 slides in the sleeve 80 and is provided with collars 81a, which act as a seal, in order to prevent Leek losses of pressure fluid from the space 65 of the cylinder 31b in the part 71 of the control mechanism 60.
It can be seen that when the piston 31a moves in the cylinder 31b against the control mechanism 60, the stress on the diaphragm 7 3 caused by the spring 78 is increased. The load depends on the position of the piston 31a in the cylinder 31b. from. It is also understood that this spring load counteracts the load acting on the membrane 73 due to the fluid pressure.
The flexible membrane 71 is also loaded by a second spring 82, which acts in the same way as the spring 78. The spring 82 rests against the element 73a at one end and against a shoulder in the neck 79 at the other end. Movements of the membrane 73 are transmitted to a second push rod 83 which is slidably arranged in a sleeve 84 in the wall of the compartment 72 containing the membrane. Movements of the rod 83 are in turn transmitted to a hemispherical valve carrier 85 of a valve mechanism.
The valve mechanism has a hemispherical valve body 86 which is provided with a tap opening 87 for the purpose of controlling the fluid flow tapped from the chamber 65 via the bore 88. The tapped current reaches a space 89 which is connected to the suction line 52 of the pump 47 by a connection piece 90 and a line 91. The IIalbkugelventilträger 85 and the push rod 83 are loaded by a weak spring 92 in the opposite direction from the membrane 73.
The operation of the servomotor with the control mechanism is as follows: Assume that the compressor is at a standstill. Then. the half-ball valve 86 of the valve mechanism is closed and is pressed onto the seat around the opening 87, while the piston head 63 of the piston 31a rests against the sleeve 61 at the end of the cylinder 31b facing away from the control mechanism, in which position it is held by the spring 78 becomes:
When the system is started, pressure is generated on the sides of the piston head in the chambers 65 and 66, since no fluid can escape through the bore 88 and the valve 86.87. These pressures remain the same, however, so that the piston for its part remains stationary. At the same time, the pressure in the pump chamber 54 and thus the pressure acting on the membrane 73 increase as a result of the increase in the engine speed (that is to say the compressor speed).
When the pressure acting on the membrane 73 is large enough to overcome the action of the second spring 82, the hemispherical valve 86 lifts from its seat around the opening 87, and chamber 65 flows out of the cylinder. Pressurized fluid from, so that the pressure in this chamber falls compared to the pressure prevailing in the chamber 66. When the pressure in the chamber 65 has fallen so far that the difference in the effective cross-sectional areas of the two sides of the piston head 63 is balanced out, the fluid pressure on the piston 31a overcomes the action of the spring 50 and the piston 31a moves in the cylinder 31b . This piston movement continues as long as the compressor speed increases, namely until this speed reaches a predetermined value and the piston head 63 rests against the sleeve 62.
At speeds above the specific speed at which the piston head 63 rests against the sleeve 62, the control mechanism is ineffective.
Benn example according to Fig. 3-7, the control mechanism is set in such a way that the piston head 63 abuts against the sleeve 62 at a speed at which no additional working fluid is to be introduced. The piston 31a is connected to the part 30 in such a way that when the piston head 63 strikes against the stop sleeve 62, the rotatable valve body reaches such a position in which the openings 25 no longer match the openings 23.
If the control mechanism according to FIG. 9 is to be used to adjust the adjustable guide vanes 13, then the piston 31a is connected to the arm 42 (FIG. 8) in such a way that when the piston head 63 moves away from the stop sleeve 62 , the guide vanes 13 are rotated about their longitudinal axis so that the swirl of the Arbeitsflui dums is reduced, and the control mechanism 60 of the piston device is formed and arranged so that when the piston head 63 abuts the stop sleeve 62, the inlet Guide vanes 13 assume their normal working position.
If the rotatable valve body 24 and the adjustable guide vanes 13 are to be adjusted simultaneously, two servomotors 31 are provided. The second servomotor and its associated control mechanism are in this case, in the same way as shown in FIG. 9, connected to the fuel pump. Corresponding connec tions 93a, 75a, 77a and 91a, as indicated in Fig. 9, are provided in this case.
By suitably selecting the strength of the springs 78 and 82 in the two servomotors 31, the speed at which the servomotors 31 are effective can be the same or different.
If the introduction of additional Ar beitsfluidum take place depending on an operating variable of the compressor, which changes with the compressor speed, that is, which increases with an increase in this speed and decreases with a decrease in this speed, then the arrangement can be made as follows To control the introduction of additional working fluid according to the corrected speed of the compressor, which, as is known, is equal to the real speed divided by the square root of the inlet temperature and multiplied by a constant, the valve 86 is additionally, for. B. by means of a bellows, loaded, the interior of which is connected to an element in the compressor inlet.
This element is filled with pressure, the pressure of which changes with temperature. Any other temperature responsive device may be provided.
For the introduction of an additional working fluid according to your compression pressure, developing the overpressure or the absolute pressure, a pressure-responsive supply line, e.g. B. a membrane or a can or the like, be seen before welelie is arranged so that it responded to the Kompressorenddruel.
This device is also expediently arranged in such a way that it controls valve means which control the introduction via corresponding servomechanisms. A control of the introduction of additional working fluid according to the compressor pressure ratio can be achieved in that a Druel responsive device is provided with two pressure-sensitive cans; the one can is arranged in a chamber which is connected to the compressor inlet, while the other can is arranged in a chamber which is exposed to the final compressor pressure.
The two cans act on a rotatable rod, the pivot bearing of which is closer to the fastening end of that can which is exposed to the compressor end pressure than the fastening end of the other can on the rod. Provided that the two cans have the same cross-sectional area, the rod is swiveled when the ratio of the inlet pressure to the compressor pressure exceeds the predetermined ratio of the length of the shorter rod arm to the length of the longer rod arm.
The arrangement is such that this pivoting actuates a seivomeehanism to control a valve that brings in full additional working fluid when the ratio of the compressor end pressure to the inlet pressure falls below a predetermined value when the compressor speed drops and that this lead is prevented if the ratio exceeds the specified predetermined value as the compressor speed increases.
It should be understood that the present invention is limited to the examples described. Thus, all point of the tapping full of air for the purpose of introducing additional working fluid at the inlet of the compressor via an outer part of the inlet guide vanes, the fluid required for introducing additional working fluid can also be discharged from a separate source.
