Float valve for cistern. The subject of the present invention is a float valve for cisterns, the slidably mounted in the valve housing from the closing body is adjustable by means of a Sehwinnner rod which is hinged to the valve housing and carries the float.
(According to the present invention, a simple and consequently cheap construction is achieved in that the float rod is pivotably mounted in the closing body and is supported on the valve housing with an eccentrically arranged extension.
The accompanying drawing shows an example embodiment of the subject invention, namely Fig. 1 is a longitudinal section and FIG. 2 is a cross section along the line 11-1I of FIG.
The float valve shown has a housing 1 which is fastened in the cistern wall 3 by means of a connector 2. The pressurized water supply line is connected to the nozzle 2 in a manner known per se. In the inner end of the connection 2 there is a nozzle 4 which interacts with the closure body 5. -This latter is in the housing 1 in the axial direction and carries at its left (Fig. 1) end, the sealing piece 6, z. B. made of rubber or plastic. In the closure body 5, the float rod 7, which carries the float 8, is mounted pivotable bar.
In order to prevent a water breakthrough between the housing 1 and the closure body 5, a gland seal 18 was pressed in. The float rod 7 carries. in its end facing the housing 1 a washer 9 which engages with an extension 10 in an annular groove 11 of the nut 12. This latter is on. the housing 1 screwed on and adjustable on the same. As readily recognizable, causes a lifting or lowering of the float 8 due to the eccentric support from the float rod 7 or the disc 9 on the extension 10 an axial displacement of the Abehlusskörpers 5 by the axis 13, the disc 9 penetrates.
By adjusting the nut 12, the point in time at which the closing body 5 comes to rest against the cylindrical line piece 4 can be regulated. In order to secure the system on the closing body in every position of the nut 12, the end face 14 of the latter lying against the washer 9, as shown in FIG. 1, is designed obliquely to the axis of the closing body. As shown, this inclined end surface is advantageously curved.
A bolt 15 inserted in the closing body 5 serves to guide the closing body in the axial direction, preventing rotation.
In the outlet nozzle 16 screws 17 are used to reduce noise Ge, the threads of which are so deep that they find support on the inner wall of the nozzle 16, but allow the water to pass.
