Description
method of laying reinforced concrete railway sleepers. The invention relates to a Ver drive for laying railway sleepers made of reinforced concrete.
Reinforced concrete sleepers are generally laid on a bed of hard stone gravel, essentially in the same way as steel or wood sleepers. It has been shown that the frictional resistance of a reinforced concrete sleeper is relatively low. As horizontal movements occur when driving over the rails, in addition to the high pressures exerted on the ballast pile, abrasion of the concrete occurs on the bearing surface of the sleeper, which increases significantly over the years and reduces the life of the sleeper.
The invention has the task of increasing the frictional resistance between the reinforced concrete threshold and the bedding to eliminate these disadvantages and solves this problem in that an adhesive mass is attached between the support surface and the bedding.
One can proceed in such a way that one applies a suitable adhesive to the bearing surface of the sleeper. This is expediently done by coating the lower support surface with a suitable adhesive after the sleeper has been manufactured in the sleeper factory. The effects can be further improved if appropriate recesses are made in the concrete body of the threshold, which form good anchoring for the coated adhesive. Of course, the adhesive can also be sprayed on, injected on or applied by dipping the threshold surface into the adhesive or in any other suitable manner.
There is also the ability to apply the adhesive to the bedding itself, for. B. spray on.
The adhesive mass must be such that it retains its effectiveness under all relevant temperature conditions. Bitumen, asphalt mastic or similar compounds are particularly suitable as adhesive.
