Rotating brush device.
The present invention relates to a rotating brush device, characterized in that it comprises at least one brush of circular shape, integral with an axis capable of rotating inside a handle, said axis being driven. in rotation by a hand lever arti ground on the handle and which acts on the axis by means of a rack meshing with a toothed pinion, means being provided for the return to the initial position of the lever after each manual pressure.
The accompanying drawing shows, by way of example, one embodiment of the device forming the subject of the invention, in the form of a device for brushing teeth.
Fig. 1 shows a longitudinal section.
Fig. 2 is a plan view.
The device shown comprises a handle N, having a handle in which there is provided a housing containing a hand lever 1. The handle is traversed lon itudinally. by an axis E provided, at the end located on the side of the housing of the handle, with a toothed pinion (Y and has, at its other end, a part with a square section P coming to be housed inside the a head I attached to the end of the handle.
This head has a wall J crossed by two axes R and S, perpendicular to the axis E, and carrying, on the one hand inside the head, two toothed pinions II and F and, on the other hand, to the outside of the head, two circular brushes IC and L protected by two semi-circular T projections forming one unit with the head. The two pinions H and F are driven together by an angle gear Cl, cut on both sides, this gear being mounted on the square section part P. The brushes K and L are driven in rotation by means of the pinions H and X, the gear G and the axis E, by means of the hand lever A.
This is articulated, at one end, on the handle of the handle N, by an axis D and carries, at its other end, a rack B meshing with the pinion C, mounted on the shaft E. A coil spring III resting, on the one hand, against the bottom of the housing of the handle and, on the other hand, against the lever A, returns the latter to the initial position after each manual pressure. The stroke of lever A is limited by a stop O fixed in the handle of the handle
N and which passes through an elongated opening made in lever A.
The device described operates as follows: It suffices to press the lever A to drive the brushes K and L in rotation, in the opposite direction to each other, through the intermediary of the rack B, of pinion C, of axis E, of angle gear G and of pinions H and F. At the manual end of travel, spring III returns lever A to its initial position and drives the brushes in the opposite direction of first movement.
Another embodiment of the device may only include a brush mounted directly at the end of the axis E.
