Mechanical razor of the mower type. The present invention relates to a mechanical evening of the mower type, comprising a motor mechanism operated by. the hand and two devices for guiding the movable blade and clamping its edges against those of the fixed blade.
The drawing represents, schematically and by way of example, an embodiment of the razor according to the invention. The end. 1 shows the razor in elevation and in partial section with the cover of the razor housing removed; fig. '? represents the razor seen from the side. Fig. 3 shows an alternative embodiment of the guiding and clamping device.
1 removes the shaver housing, 2 its removable cover, 3 a lever rotatably mounted on a shaft 4. 5 designates a spring. spiral mounted between this shaft 4 and the interior wall of the housing 1. The length of this lever, at 6, is rotatably mounted at the end 7 of a bar guided in an adjoining man- elion S. to the housing and carrier, inside the latter, of a toothing 9 meshing with a motor pinion 10 of the razor.
11 denotes one of the constituent parts, in the form of a hollow cylinder formed by a removable cover, of the left clamping device of the fia. 1. This part 11 is rotatably mounted at 12 so as to be able to turn from right to left - and vice versa. - and particularly to come to be placed in 13. The other component part of this device (the clamping has the form of a piston 14, housed with gentle friction in the part 11.
This piston carries a rod 15, passing through the cover of the part 11, provided at its upper end with a cap 16 held pressed on the free face of the movable blade 17 of the razor by the action of a spring 18 compressed between said pis ton and the cover of part 11. 18 'and 18 "respectively denote the fixed blade and its support.
On the rod 15, inside the part 11, is fixed one of the ends of a plug 19 (fig. 3) passing through the wall of the cylinder 11 in a groove 20 parallel to the axis of the latter, and ending, outside the cylinder 11, with an operating button 21.
15 ', 16' and 21 'designate the piston rod, the cap and the operating button of the clamping device 11', 15 'on the right of FIG. 1 (see also fig. 2). 22 designates the opening made in the side wall of the box 1 to allow the passage and the operation of the lever 3.
To actuate the motor mechanism of the razor comprising the pinion 10 and the wheels 22 to 25, the connecting rod 26 and the lever 27, one presses, with the palm of the hand which holds the housing 1, on the lever 3 which comes at 3 ' . The bar 7, of which the toothed part 9 comes at 9 ', rotates, by said toothed part 9, the pinion 10, and the free end of the bent lever 27 prints a back and forth movement to the movable blade 17 , thanks to the eccentric mounting of the lever 26 on the pinion 25. When the pressure of the hand on the lever 3 is removed, the spiral spring 5, stretched during the pressure exerted on the lever 3, brings the latter and with it the bar 7, 9 back; the toothed part 9 rotates the pinion 10 in the opposite direction to the previous one without the movable blade 17 ceasing its reciprocating movement.
We re-press the lever 3 to enter the back and forth movement of the blade 17. To change, for example, the movable blade 17, we actuate the button 21 upwards of the cylinder 11, which has the effect of lifting the cap 16 and allowing the cylinder 11 to tilt at 13 out of the housing through the notch 28. A similar operation performed on the other clamping member 11 ', 15' and 16 'releases the movable blade 17 which can then be removed and replaced. The pieces 11, 11 ', 15, 15' and 16, 16 'are then brought back to their initial position.
Each of the notches 28, 28 'in the blade 17 is provided with a bevel 29 (fig. 3), 29' (fig. 2) serving as a seat for the bi-edged part 30, 30 'of the caps 16, 16' , which ensures the longitudinal guidance of the movable blade 17.
The upper edges of the entry of the notches 28, 28 'in the movable blade 17 could be slightly raised, as indicated by 28 "in fig. 3, to act as a stop for the cap 16, respectively 16', in order to prevent the latter from coming out spontaneously from said notches, Fig. 3 shows a variant of the clamping device in which the spring 18 is mounted in tension between the base of the piston 11 and the bottom of the cylinder 11.
