Connection of an insulated electrical line to an electrical device provided with an insulating housing. Cable cords with vulcanized connection steek cores are usually formed from a rubber cord to which a hard plastic part is attached, which carries the connection pins or sleeves.
A suitably shaped rubber sleeve is vulcanized over the hard plastic part and the stripped part of the rubber cord in a mold, which merges conically into the rubber cord. During vulcanization, the assembled line and the hard plastic part are brought together with unvalkanized rubber in a split vulcanization mold, so that the Cumini, when the mold is compressed in a press, is shaped into a shell and vulcanized.
However, the line must be removed from the mold through a cylindrical opening. protrude, and the overpressure that arises in the mold during the pressing process tries to push the lines out. The sub-conductors are stretched, and when the finished cord is bent, the connection point of the sub-conductors absorbs the entire tensile stress, which can soon result in a line break.
These difficulties have hitherto been solved, for example, in that the side of the hard plastic part which is turned against the line was provided with a pierced eyelet. A cord was tied firmly to the cable sheath, directly above the stripping, which was pulled through the eyelet and pulled so tight that the sub-conductors formed a gentle curve.
The method, however, has the disadvantage that it entails high labor costs and increased material consumption, since the connecting plug has to be made longer so that the cone is not seen through the knot of the tendon where it is bound around the rubber of the connecting tendon has been.
The present invention relates to a connection of an insulated electrical line to an electrical device provided with an insulating housing, in which the insulating cable sheath is firmly vulcanized to the insulating housing, which connection is characterized by
that part of the open-cut insulating jacket of the line is inserted into a hole in the device for the purpose of strain relief and is held in it by means of a fastening element, and that the conductors of the line are led out of the jacket from this fastening point. Since the cable jacket itself forms part of the strain relief, this design enables a shorter connection.
# In the accompanying drawing, an exemplary embodiment of the subject matter of the invention is shown. FIG. 1 shows a plug forming the device in a schematic partial section, and FIG. 2 shows the same plug in a schematic section rotated by 900.
The pins 2 in the hard plastic part 1 are electrically each connected to a sub-conductor 6 of the rubber cord line 5 . The jacket 7 of the rubber cord line is slit open at the front end, in that a part is cut away in the longitudinal direction and the remaining part is inserted and through a hole la in the plastic disk 1 a conical plug 8 is held in it.
The steeker is surrounded by a rubber sleeve 3 as a housing, which merges on the line side into a cone 4, the diameter of which gradually approaches the outer diameter of the line.
After a part of the rubber jacket 7 has been cut open, the sub-conductors 6 are made bare and connected to the pins 2. The slit-open rubber jacket is then inserted into the hole la of the disk 1 and the parts are arranged in such a way that the now exposed sub-conductors 6 are in front of the fastening point of the jacket 7 Out of this- Z, Ole leads and are bent in a gentle arc.
Then the fastening element, that is to say the plug 8 , is inserted, by means of which the jacket 7 is clamped to the pane 1 . The entire connecting part is then pressed around with rubber in the usual way, which is vulcanized on.
The invention is not limited to plugs be; It can just as well be used with connection sockets and hanging contacts as well as with other electrical devices connected to lines and vulcanized in insulating material, for example lamp holders, bells etc.
