Niederschlagselektrode an Elektrofiltern.
Precipitation electrode on electrostatic precipitators. The invention relates to a precipitation electrode on electrostatic precipitators, in which, in a manner known per se, bars protruding transversely to the gas flow are attached to the electrode surface. These strips form angular spaces with the electrode surface (so-called trapping spaces) in which the dust that is separated in the electric field and falling from the electrode surface is collected in order to then be diverted into the dust collection space by the gas flow without hindrance.
It has now been shown that interfering gas eddies occur in the corners, which entrain the captured dust again in the gas flow and thus impair the efficiency of the dedusting by the electrostatic precipitator.
In order to remedy this deficiency, according to the invention, the collecting strips of the electrode surface are provided with angled surfaces that run at least almost parallel to the gas flow and are arranged in such a way that the angular spaces serving to collect dust are shielded from the flowing gas and thus the re-penetration of Prevent dust that has already been separated into the clean gas. Particularly favorable results are achieved if the shielding surfaces on the linden of the collecting strips are slightly inclined against the direction of flow of the gas, i.e. deviate slightly from the parallels to the direction of the gas.
As has been found, this position of the shielding surfaces definitely eliminates the risk of currents occurring in the angular spaces through which the dust caught therein is carried back into the gas flow.
In the drawing, which shows an embodiment example of an electrode according to the invention, 1 denotes the smooth or corrugated surface of the precipitation electrode arranged parallel to the gas flowing in the direction of the arrow. Two or more electrodes parallel to each other form the known gas lanes in which (not illustrated in the drawing) high voltage spray electrodes are arranged. The elec trode is occupied with bars 2 placed transversely to the gas flow, which form angled collecting spaces for the separated dust with the electrode surface 1. in a known manner.
The strips 2 are provided with angled surfaces 3, 4, which serve to shield the angular spaces against the gas flow. The planes of these shielding surfaces 3, 4 run essentially parallel to the direction of flow of the gas - expediently with a slight inclination - whereby the abutting surfaces 3, 4 merge into one another advantageously without kinking their co-planar course.
The protruding into the space free edges of the surfaces 3, 4 are suitably bent downwards and / or rounded in order to prevent electrical discharges from interfering with the proper electrical filter operation at these ends.
As can be seen from the drawing, the strips 2 and their angles 3, 4 with the electrode surface 1 can consist of one piece, which simplifies the production, but the strips 2 and surfaces 3, 4 can also be independent and, if necessary, for themselves detachable and adjustable parts are attached to the surface 1.
