      Die Umsetzung kann zum Beispiel in der  Weise erfolgen, dass man eine wässerige Lö  sung von 1.     Mol    des genannten     Dinatriumsal-          zes    bei 40 bis 90  C mit 2     Mol        o-Toluidin    um  setzt.

      und 2     Mol          Monoäthylamin)    in 700 Teilen Wasser werden  bei 35 bis 40  C unter Rühren 49 Teile     o-To-          luidin    zugefügt. Anschliessend steigert man  die Temperatur des Reaktionsgemisches inner  halb 2     Stunden    auf 80  C und rührt während  8 Stunden bei 80 bis 90  C. Hierauf     fügt    man       Natriumcarbonatlösung    bis zur deutlich alka  lischen Reaktion zu, lässt das Reaktions-         geinisch    auf 15 bis 20  abkühlen und setzt Na  triumchlorid zu.

   Das     abgeschiedene        Dinatrium-          salz    der     4,4'-Bis-[2-äthylamino-4-o-toluidin-o-          1,3,5-triazyl-(6)-amino]        -stilben-disulfonsäure-          (2,2')    wird     abfiltriert,    mit     Natriumchlorid-          lösung    gewaschen und getrocknet. Man erhält  das neue     Produkt    als hellgelbes, wasserlös  liches Pulver.  



  Baumwolle, die mit einer     wässerigen    Lö  sung des Pulvers behandelt wurde, erscheint  weisser als Baumwolle, die ohne Zusatz dieses  Produktes behandelt wurde.
