Method for loosely securing a washer on a viewing bolt and screw manufactured according to the method. In high-voltage and low-current technology, electrical conductor clamps are used which have clamping screws for clamping the conductor between the conductor clamp and the head of the visual screw. Such clamping screws preferably carry a washer under the head to protect the conductor against crushing, to hold or guide the conductor when the screw is tightened, to increase the conductivity of the clamping point and for other purposes.
Instead of normal washers, clips, brackets, brackets, springs and the like can also be arranged, which have a hole through which the visual pin is guided up to the head.
In the case of terminal blocks, deep-set terminals in appliances, junction boxes, underpocket boxes and many other places, clamping ladders or inserting the clamping screws can cause difficulties and trouble, as the washers can easily fall off the visual screw bolts and with your fingers or one Tools - are difficult to hold.
When loosening vertical visual screws, the washer remains on the terminal and must be lifted against the head when connecting a conductor, which can be very annoying when the terminals are arranged close together. It has already been proposed to loosely attach washers to the very bolt. For this purpose, the screw bolt was provided with a groove and the washer with a thread was screwed over the bolt into the groove.
This process excludes any blind spots, and the reaming of the panes is too unprofitable for mass production. Another method consists of turning a washer in front of your head when turning the very bolt and standing behind it on the head side so that the washer can be sheared off against the head.
This method has the disadvantage that the washer has the same diameter as the visual head and that these screws cannot generally be finished, which is a prerequisite for clamping screws.
Furthermore, it was suggested to use normal washers and to squeeze them so hard that the hole diameter is smaller than the thread diameter of the bolt. The process has proven to be too coarse to achieve a sufficiently fine tolerance of the seating play, and in addition not only the hole, but the entire washer and screw is deformed, which makes them look unattractive.
Attempts were also made to press a groove concentric to the hole in the washer in order to reduce the diameter of the hole.
This destroys the smooth contact surface of the washer, and if the washer is loosened several times, the groove edges can penetrate the wire or braid that is clamped underneath. The present invention relates to a method for loosely securing the washer on a screw bolt, at which a groove is made at the point to be screwed onto the washer, which is characterized by
that the washer pushed onto this groove is deformed in the radial direction by means of a die. The invention also relates to a screw with a washer loosely held thereon, which is manufactured according to the method according to the invention.
An embodiment of the invention is explained in more detail with reference to the drawing. The drawing shows in FIG. 1 the section through a die with an inserted washer and screw. FIG. 2 shows an example of a screw according to the invention with a cut washer.
The method consists in pressing the material of the washer on the outer edge radially in such a way that a deformation of the edge of the hole occurs, so that the hole after the deformation is smaller than the borrowed width of the very screw bolt. This is done in that the cylindrical edge of the washer is conically pressed in a die, as shown in FIG. 1.
The lower die part 1 has a hole 2 for guiding the screw bolt 3 and a recess 4 for pressing in the washer 5. The edge 6 The recess 4 is conical and runs out over a curve 7 into the end face 8 . The die 9 has the same nominal diameter as the washer, each but with a plus tolerance. It has a recess 10 for receiving the screw head.
If the punch 9 is pressed against the lower part of the die, the washer is pressed in the radial direction, which results in a reduction in the diameter of the hole diameter, with the lower edge of the washer being pressed round at the same time.
The washer used in this process deviates from the standard, in which the diameter of the hole is tolerated so small that the washer can be easily pushed over the thread without play. Since the absolute reduction in the hole diameter during pressing is greater than the narrowing of the outer diameter knife, only a slight deformation of the outer edge of the washer is required.
The rounding on the edge of the washer prevents the edge of the lead wires and strands clamped under the screw from being cut. Since the surface is not injured when the washer is deformed, the visual cover and the washer can be combined after the two parts have been refined.
