EMI0001.0004
beschrieben, worin x: H oderCH?, bedeutet.
Process for the production of a new dye of the anthraebinone series. In U.S. Patent No. 210109.1, dyes are the composition
EMI0001.0004
described, in which x: H or CH ?, . They dye wool in lively, red-blue tones, which, however, have the disadvantage that they turn strongly to red in artificial light.
In U.S. Patent No. 2315788, dyes are the composition
EMI0001.0008
where x: H or CH3, Hal: Cl or Br and A: H, Cl or Br are described, which also color olle in lively blue tones for 3s, but which no longer turn red in artificial light. Furthermore, in E.P. No. 579519 the dye is the composition
EMI0001.0014
which, like the corresponding trimethylanilido dye of US Pat. No. 2101094, dyes wool in vivid red-blue tones.
However, the dye is better absorbed from a neutral bath on wool. On the other hand, this dye also has a poor evening color and, moreover, the solubility of this dye is only barely sufficient, which is unfavorable for industrial use. It has now been found that the dyes of the composition
EMI0002.0001
where x: H or C2H5, Hal: Cl or Br, and A: H, Cl or Br mean, dye wool and other textiles in vivid blue, very real tones and which, like the dye of EP No. 579519, do very well take a neutral bath.
In addition, however, these colorations are stable in artificial light; the dyes also have, contrary to all expectations, excellent solubility. The new dyes thus represent a significant technical advance over those already known. The dyes can be prepared by 1. Anthraquinone derivatives which have interchangeable substituents in the 1- and 4-position and which are also substituted in the 6- and / or 7-position by Cl or Br, with amines of the composition
EMI0002.0012
where x:
H or C2H5 is condensed and the condensation products obtained are sulfonated, or 2. 1,4-diaminoanthraquinones which are in the 6- and / or 7-position with Cl. or Br are substituted with halobenzenes of the composition
EMI0002.0020
where Hal: Cl or Br, and x: H or C.H, g are condensed and the condensation products obtained are sulfonated.
The subject of the present patent is a process which is characterized in that 6,7-dichloroethinizarin is reacted with 2,4,6-triethylaniline and the 1,4-di- (2 ', 4,6'-trietliylanilido) obtained - 6.7 - dichloro-anthraquinone converted into the corresponding disulfonic acid by treatment with sulfonating agents.
Example: 30 parts of 6,7-dichloroquinizarin are stirred into 110 parts of 2,4,6-triethylaniline, whereupon 6.5 parts of 32% hydrochloric acid are allowed to flow in. 4.2 parts of 94% zinc dust are then added in portions with thorough stirring. After the addition of 5.5 parts of crystallized boric acid and 3.5 parts of boron fluoride dihydrate, the mixture is stirred in an inert atmosphere while distilling off the water at 100 to 125 until the condensation has ended. is.
The reaction mass is then stirred into 700 parts of 10% hydrochloric acid, heated to 80 to 100 for a short time, filtered, washed neutral with hot water and dried. The raw base obtained in this way is dissolved in a suitable organic solvent in the heat, if necessary leuco compound with atmospheric oxygen that is still present. completely oxidized and then crystallized. In this way, 1,4-di- (2 ', 4', 6'-triethylanilido) -6,7-diehloranthraquinone is obtained in dark, bronzing crystals.
10 parts of 7th, 4-di- (2 ', 4', 6'-triä.thylanilido) -6,7-dichlorantliraehinon are dissolved in 55 parts of sulfuric acid monohydrate. After adding 30 parts, 28%. Oleum is heated to 40 to 50 while stirring until a sample has become completely water-soluble. The sulfonation mass is then stirred into 1000 parts of 6% sodium chloride solution, filtered, washed neutral with 6% sodium chloride solution and dried.
The new, easily soluble dye thus obtained has. an excellent drawability from a neutral bath and dyes full, silk and nylon in very lively blue tones with an excellent evening color.
