Child seat with at least one clamp for clamping the same on the edge of a supporting plate, in particular a table top. Various child seats are known which are provided with at least one clamp for firmly clamping the seat on the edge of a supporting plate, in particular a table top. As a rule, the clamping jaws of these clamps can be pressed towards one another with the help of a screw jack, in certain cases also under the action of a spring. In one case, the attachment and removal of the seat is relatively time consuming and cumbersome, while in the other case the secure hold of the seat is in question.
The present invention aims to remedy these defects and relates to a child seat with at least one clamp for the clamping part of the same on the edge of a supporting plate, in particular table plate, which is characterized in that the clamping jaws of the clamp can be actively pressed against each other by the weight of the seat itself are.
Preferably, the clamp can have a stationary and a movable clamping jaw, which latter is arranged on one arm of a two-armed lever pivotable in the vertical plane, on whose arm the seat is attached.
An exemplary embodiment of the subject matter of the invention is shown in the accompanying drawing, namely: FIG. 1 shows a side view of the seat, FIG. 2 shows a detail of the seat from FIG. 1, </ B> partially in vertical section, Fig. 3 a detail of the seat in front view.
The child seat shown has a seat plate 10 which, with a backrest 11 , consists of a single, correspondingly curved piece. Two side rests formed by side walls 12 are connected to the sides of the seat plate and backrest made of the angular structure. Rails 13 serving as arm supports are arranged on the upper edges of the side rests 12.
One lever arm 14 of a two-armed lever 14, 15, is firmly screwed to each side rest 12, the lever arm 14 expediently having a fork which engages over the side wall on both sides. The lever 14, 15 is mounted pivotably about a horizontal axis 1.6 on a support 17 which is adjustable in height on a vertical leg < B> 18 of an angle piece is arranged, the other, horizontally ver running leg 19 forms the fixed clamping jaw of a clamp. On the second lever arm 15 of the lever 14, 15 , a movable clamping jaw 20 of the clamp is arranged such that it can pivot about a horizontal axis 21.
The oppositely directed surfaces of the clamping jaws 19 and 20 are each with a roughened coating 22 or 23 consisting of elastically flexible material, in order to be able to Clamping damage, for example the table top 24, to avoid. The support 17 is fork-shaped and supports the lever 14, 15 between the ends of its two legs, which also encompass the vertical leg 18 .
The latter has a vertically running guide slot 25 , on the longitudinal edges of which the support 17 is guided on the one hand by its web 17a and on the other hand by a guide piece 26 , which is connected to the web 17a by means of a screw 27 protruding through the slot 25 . There is so much play between the guide edges of the slot 25 on the one hand and the web 17a or the guide piece 26 on the other hand that the support 17 </ B> at a small angle around the lower edge of the web 17a is possible.
On an upwardly extended part 28 of the web 17a and on the adjacent surface of the vertical leg 18 there are interlocking teeth 29 which are inclined in a sawtooth shape are formed in such a way that moving the support 17 downward is difficult. Under the action of a spring 30 the support is drawn against the leg 18 in such a way that the teeth of these parts always come into engagement with one another.
The spring 30 is supported on the one hand against the nut of a screw 31 inserted in the web 17a and on the other hand against a slot that engages behind the longitudinal edges of the guide slot 25 Pressing piece 32 .
The use and operation of the child seat be written is as follows: If the Klenunbaeken 19 and 20 of the clamp according to FIG. 1 over or under the edge of a supporting plate, for Example of a table top 24, the lever 14, 15 is pivoted about the axis 16 by the weight of the seat and the weight of a child sitting in it in such a way that the The movable clamping jaw 20 is pressed upwards in the direction against the fixed, on the table plate 24, provided that the support 17 is attached to the leg 18 at a suitable height.
Since the lever arm 14 supporting the seat is considerably longer than the lever arm 15 supporting the clamping jaw 20, this results in a large clamping effect that increases with the weight of the seated child. In spite of this, the child seat can be removed from the table top very quickly by first lifting it slightly with respect to the fixed clamping jaw 19 and then pushing it away from the edge of the table top. When the seat is raised, the lower clamping jaw 20 moves a little n downwards away from the table top, so that kn the clenching effect stops.
Due to the pivotable arrangement of the movable clamping jaw 20 on the lever arm 15, in each case a flat contact of the clamping surface on the table top is achieved.
To adapt the clamp to table tops of different thicknesses, the support 17 can be adjusted to different heights along the leg 18 . For this purpose, the support is against the action of the spring 30 a little - to pivot the lower edge of the web 17a until the teeth of the part 28 get except Einariff with the teeth of the leg 18 , whereupon the height shift can be made. Under the action of the spring, the teeth then automatically interlock again.
Because of the sawtooth-shaped design of the teeth described, a shift of the support from bottom to top can also be effected by simply lifting it up, in that the teeth then independently slide apart and over each other.
An unintentional downward sliding of the support 17 when using the seat is firstly due to the action of the spring 30, secondly due to the sawtooth shape of the teeth and thirdly due to this prevents the support from acting like a two-armed lever pivotable about the lower edge of the web 17a, one arm of which is the part 28 provided with the teeth and the one arm of which the pivot axis 16 / B> of the lever 14, 15 bearing the beweo, borrowed clamping jaw.
In the correct usage position of the seat, the lever arm 14 does not rest on the web 17a or the pressure piece 32, which is why such a pivoting is effected under the weight force exerted on the pivot axis 16 The support acts as a lever so that its teeth firmly engage with the teeth of the vertical leg 18 .
As can be seen from FIGS. 1 and 2, the lever arm 14 is slightly bent. As a result, when the seat is not clamped to a table top, the lever arm can come to a stop with the web 17a or the pressure piece 32 according to FIG. 2, thereby limiting the pivotability of the leg 14 , 15 is achieved in one direction.
In order to enable further use of the described child seat, it can also be provided with means, not shown, which enable it to be attached to a support provided with feet, in which case one as a table top The plate used for the child can be inserted between the clamping jaws of the clamp and can be clamped by moving the support 17 upwards.
