Fig.l zeigt die Vorrichtung in Ansicht.
Fig.3 stellt einen Teilquerschnitt durch ein.
Apparatus for making paper or the like that is corrugated in the longitudinal direction of the web. The invention relates to an apparatus for producing paper or the like that is corrugated in the longitudinal direction of the web. It is known to produce such corrugated paper with longitudinal waves in such a way that the individual waves are folded one after the other starting from the center of the running paper web until the entire width of the paper web is corrugated. For this purpose, fixed, staggered one behind the other lying folding members have been used, between which the paper web must be pulled through with correspondingly high friction. On the other hand, it is already known to pass the paper web through a number of form roller pairs arranged one behind the other and at the same spacing without friction.
In this case, however, all rollers have a number of shaping waves corresponding to the total number of waves in the end product, the wave length of which is shortened from roller pair to roller pair. Only the pair of end rollers have undulations corresponding to the desired undulation and size of the finished product.
In contrast, in the device according to the invention, all forming rollers have the individual waveforms already in the final dimension of the individual waves, with only the last forming roller pair having a number of waveforms corresponding to the total wave number of the web width, while the preceding roller pairs have one against the first roller pair have a gradually decreasing number of waveforms arranged symmetrically to the center of the track.
As a result, the paper waves produced are inevitably held in their shape by each individual forming roller pair during their entire passage through the device. The individual paper waves formed by a pair of form rollers cannot change on the intermediate routes because they are in turn grasped and guided according to their shape in the next pair of form rollers, which is of particular importance for the safe formation of the waves.
In the new device, it is also not necessary to see all of the pairs of forming rollers, their entire length with forming waves. These shaped waves can even be detachably connected to the roller core, so that a more or less large number of these shaped waves can be placed on the shaft core as desired.
In the drawing, an embodiment example of the subject matter of the invention is shown schematically.
Fig.l shows the device in view. Fig. 2 shows the associated top view with the omission of some additional devices at the end.
Fig.3 represents a partial cross-section through a. A pair of rollers that illustrate the detachable attachment of the molds for the individual shafts.
In the example shown, the paper web 12 running off a supply roll 11 is passed between several pairs of forming rolls 131, 132, 141, 142 and 151, 152. On the rollers 131 and 132 in the example shown, a total of four shaped waves 133 and 134, respectively, arranged in the middle of the rollers, which interlock so that the paper web fed to this pair of rollers has four wavy folds symmetrically to the center of the web is provided. The edge of the paper web is drawn in in a measure corresponding to the fold.
Starting from this pair of rollers 131, 132, the paper web with the four longitudinal waves attached therein migrates between the pairs of forming rollers 141, 142, which in the example shown is provided with eight circumferential ribs (forming waves) 143, 144 that are wavy in cross section. The four central corrugations grasp the corrugations of paper already in the paper web and keep them in the desired shape. The four other form waves 143, 144 distributed on both sides generate four further paper waves adjoining the four existing paper waves on both sides. The edge of the paper web 12 is drawn in a further piece towards the center of the paper web.
From here, the paper web, which consists of eight medium-sized paper corrugations and two non-corrugated edges on both sides, migrates to the third pair of forming rollers 151, 152, which has a total of 12 forming corrugations 153, 154 each. The paper web leaves this pair of rollers with a total of twelve longitudinal waves that require the entire web width.
In the drawing, for the sake of clarity, the number of individual waves is significantly smaller and the size is selected to be significantly larger than is the case in practice. If necessary, the number of pairs of forming rollers will also be significantly larger and the graduation of the wave numbers will be accordingly finer. Following this series of forming rollers, a support table 16 is shown on which the paper web 12 provided with longitudinal corrugations is divided into individual plates because a longitudinally corrugated paper web cannot be wound into rolls without damaging the longitudinal corrugations.
It is still indicated in Figure 1 how the provided with longitudinal waves paper web 12 during its exit from the device described in one operation with a further paper web, for example one of an upper supply roll 17 coming transversely corrugated corrugated cardboard web 18 and one from one under supply roll 22 coming paper web 23 can be verbun the. At 19 is. it denotes a pair of auxiliary rollers that wets the longitudinally corrugated paper web on both sides with adhesive. The pair of guide rollers 20 ensures the necessary contact of the two paper webs 12 to be combined with one another on the one hand and 18 or 23 on the other hand over their entire width.
It goes without saying that corrugated cardboard glued on one side can also be brought up to the longitudinally corrugated paper web from below and connected to it in the same way.
From Figure 3 it can be seen how the only partially indicated rollers 211 and 212 of a pair of forming rollers with individual NEN, the wave profile corresponding to the shape of rings 213 and 214 occupied. are. They are pushed onto the mold core and are held in the desired position, for example by clamping rings 215, which are placed on both sides against the adjacent mold rings 213 and 214.
The guide and adjustment of the clamping rings can be done in any way and is not shown in detail in the drawing.
