Elektrisch betriebene gleislose Modellfahrzeugbabn.
Electrically operated trackless model vehicles. The subject matter of the present invention is an electrically operated trackless model vehicle track with at least one vehicle whose route on the roadway is not defined.
The model vehicle track is characterized by the fact that the roadway is provided with laanelles that are electrically isolated from one another and made of electrically conductive material.
the poles of at least one power source are connected, that the vehicle has at least three current collectors working together with the lamellas and that at least one connection terminal of at least one electrical consumer located on the vehicle is connected to at least two of the current collectors with the interposition of rectifiers,
which rectifiers with their poles of the same name are connected to the mentioned connection terminal of the consumer and with their other poles each connected to one of the pantographs.
A few exemplary embodiments of the subject matter of the invention are shown schematically in the drawing.
Fig.l shows the top view. on a section of the roadway of a first embodiment with lamellas running in the longitudinal direction, FIG. 2 shows a similar plan view of a second embodiment of the roadway with lamellas running transversely to its longitudinal direction, FIG. 3 shows a cross section through part of the roadway along the Line AA in Fig. 1 or
Fig. 2 and .the electrical device of a vehicle located on the roadway, Fig. 4 shows an actual design of the vehicle viewed from below, Fig. 5 schematically illustrates the electrical device of a vehicle according to another embodiment,
Fig. 6 shows a cross section through a further embodiment of the roadway with two electrical consumers arranged on a single vehicle or on separate vehicles, which can be controlled independently of one another.
The lanes according to Fig.l and 2 for the model vehicles are through. Electrically conductive material, but covered by insulating pieces 4 electrically separated slats 1 and 2, which are arranged in the embodiment according to Figure 1 in the longitudinal direction of the roadway and in the embodiment according to Figure 2 is transversely to it. The first, third, fifth, etc.
Lamella 1 with one another and with one pole of a current source I% verbun, while all the lamellae 2 lying between these lamellae are connected to one another and to the other pole of the same current source. The width of the lamellas measured in the direction of the line A-A is considerably greater than the dimension of the insulating pieces 4 running in the same direction.
According to FIG. 3, which shows the roadway in cross section along the line A-A in FIG. 1 or FIG. 1, a roadway itself is not located on the roadway.
The illustrated vehicle with an electric drive motor, which is symbolically represented in FIG. 3 by the winding 11. On the underside of the vehicle there are four pantographs in the form of fully sliding contacts 7, 8, 9 and 10 that work together with the lamellae.
The mutual distance between the sliding contacts 7 and 8 or 9 and 10 corresponds at least approximately to the distance between the longitudinal center lines of two adjacent conductive lamellae 1 and 2.According to a variant not shown, the distance between the sliding contacts 7 and 8 or 9 and 10 also carry the (2n. + 1) -faehe this lamellar spacing, where 7z = can be 1.,?, 3 etc. The distances between sliding contacts 7 and 9 or
However, 8 and 10 differ from the distance between the longitudinal center lines of adjacent slats 1 and? in such a way that either the sliding contacts 7 and 8 or then the other two, 9 and 10, are always on lamellae with different poles.
If, for example, the vehicle moves to the right in Fig. 3, then at the moment when the sliding contacts 7 and 8 move from the slats to the insulating pieces q, the other two contacts 9 and 10 are on the slats and vice versa. One connection terminal of the motor winding 11.
is connected to sliding contacts 7 and 9 with the interposition of rectifiers 12 and 14 and the other connection terminal of the winding iuitier, interposition of rectifiers 13 and 15 to the sliding contacts 8 and 10.
The polarity of the rectifiers is selected so that only positive poles of the rectifier are connected to one connection terminal of the motor and only negative poles of the rectifier to the other small connection terminal of the same.
If the current source L "is a alternating current source, then in the position of the vehicle shown in FIG. 3, current flows to the winding 11 for a half period via the sliding contact 7 and the sliding contact 12 as well as the sliding contact 9 and the rectifier 14. and via the rectifier 13 and the sliding contact 8 and the rectifier 1: 5 and the sliding contact 10 back again.
In the next half-cycle, however, no current can flow in the opposite direction. The motor 11 is therefore pulsating. Gleiclistroiii flowed through, which calls forth the movement of the vehicle.
If the same shifts to the right from the position shown, the sliding contacts 7 and 8 run onto the insulating pieces 1, so that the contacts 9 and 1.0 take over the sole power supply. Conversely, when the vehicle moves to the left, the sliding contacts 7 and 8 take over the sole power management when the other sliding contacts 9 and 10 run onto the insulating pieces -1.
The vehicle is therefore connected to the power source L 'at any time and can move forward without interruption, regardless of whether this movement takes place in the longitudinal or the transverse line of the slats.
Since the vehicle is not. is bound to a certain lane on the roadway, there is the possibility that it rotates with respect to the slats while driving and that the sliding contacts 7 and 9 or
8 and 10 come into contact with oppositely polarized lamellae. In this case, however, no short circuits can occur between the differently polarized lamellae because of the rectifier 12-15.
If, for example, the sliding contacts 7 and 9 slide on lamellae with different poles, no short-circuit can occur via the sliding elements 12 and 1-1, since they are in series in the short-circuit connection with opposite polarity.
If, on the other hand, the sliding contacts 7 and 8 run on the same lamella or on --leiclipolarized lamellae, the motor is still 11 . Not.
shorted. The current will then, for example, flow in one half-wave of the Weeliselstronie via the (i @ eich-rectifier 12 with one connection terminal of the winding 11 and via the rectifier 15 from its other connection terminal back to the oppositely polarized lamella,
while in the other half-wave there is no short circuit of the oppositely polarized lamellae via the straight lines 15 and 13, because these rectifiers are of opposite polarity. are in series in the short circuit.
The same applies to any position of the vehicle on the road.
In order to enable one and the same vehicle to drive both in the longitudinal and in the transverse direction of the slats, the sliding contacts are not all arranged in a straight line on the same, but advantageously at an angle or in a square, as shown in Fig.4 is shown.
Of course, the vehicle can also have more than four current collectors or sliding contacts, which are connected in an analogous manner via rectifiers to the connection terminals of the motor, where the probability that the vehicle will be de-energized when moving can be reduced.
According to a variant not shown, it is also possible, with only three sliding contacts arranged in a triangle, to have the vehicle drive both longitudinally and transversely to the slats, in which the sliding contact 10 is omitted in the embodiment according to FIG. Instead of the rectifier 13, an ordinary conductive connection can occur in this case.
If only three sliding contacts are used, it is possible that the vehicle is temporarily completely de-energized during its journey. The locomotion of the vehicle over such dead spots on the roadway can be ensured that rotating centrifugal masses are arranged in the vehicle, which are connected to the drive motor and continue to drive the vehicle by releasing their inertial energy in the event of power interruptions.
If necessary, the wheels of the vehicle or at least some of them can also be designed as current collectors.
A variant of the electrical Einriehteng rule of a vehicle is shown in FIG. Of the four sliding contacts 7-10, each with the interposition of a rectifier 28 and 32 or 29 and 33 or 30 and 34 or 31 and 35 is connected to the connection terminals of the drive motor 11, with the rectifier leading to the same sliding contact opposite set are polarized.
There are then only positive poles of the rectifier on one connection terminal of the motor 11 and only negative poles on the other connection terminal.
The mode of operation of this arrangement is analogous to that described with reference to FIG. 3, with the difference that the alternating current supplied by the .Stromquelle U flows in the same direction through the motor winding 11 in every position of the vehicle on the road during both half-periods , there. Full wave rectification takes place.
In addition to a higher degree of efficiency, this has the further advantage that the current source U can optionally also be a direct current source that does not have to worry about it. can be connected to its polarity. The rectifiers then act like automatic switches that always lead the current from the sliding contacts to the corresponding connection terminal of the motor 11 so that the same is always flowed through in the same direction, even if the polarity of the sliding contacts changes when the vehicle is moving.
With this design of the electrical device, too, the number of sliding contacts can be increased as desired, but it can also be reduced to just three.
The roadway according to FIG. 6 can be designed to enable the simultaneous operation of either several vehicles that are independent of one another on a track or to create various effects in a vehicle, such as steering, lighting, signaling, etc.
According to this, the leading lamellae, which can be arranged lengthways as well as across the path, are combined in groups of three or more, for example p lamellas, with all the first lamellae of the groups with one pole of a power source, all the second lamellae with the other Pole of the same power source, all third lamellas with the second pole of a second current source and all pth lamellas with the second pole of a (p-1) th "current source can be connected.
The first poles of all power sources are connected to one another. In Fig. 6 Grup pen to three lamellas l., 2, 3 with each intervening insulating pieces 4 are available, and the various power sources have a single main power source U as the Ur jump, the second pole to generate undervoltage for the various power sources from each other independent regulating resistors 18 and 19 etc.
is connected to the second, third and possibly following lamellae of the groups, as it is evident from the example of FIG. 6 for p = 3. On this road there is a first vehicle with the motor winding 11 and the sliding contacts 7-10. The vehicle is designed analogously to the case of FIG. 3, the sliding contacts 7 and 8 being arranged at a distance of the longitudinal center lines of two adjacent conductive lamellae 1 and 2 and the sliding contacts 9 and 10 also being arranged at a pale distance from one another.
A second vehicle with the 1Iotoi @ winding 24 is also on the road at the same time. This vehicle has four sliding contacts 20, 21, 22, 23, which are connected to the winding 24, analogously to the first vehicle, with the interposition of rectifiers. The sliding contacts 20 and 21 are here, however, arranged at a distance from the longitudinal center lines of two slats 1 and 3 of a group, as are the two sliding contacts 22 and 23. Overall, there are two consumers 11 and 24, generally (p-1.) Consumers, vo> tied.
If the current source Ii is, for example, a direct current source, a current only flows through the motor winding 11 of the first vehicle when two of the sliding contacts 7 and 8 bnv. 9 and 10 are in contact with slats 1 and 2. Appropriate dimensioning of the lamellae 4 prevents the contacts 7 and 10 from touching the lamellae 1 and 3 at the same time.
The vehicle therefore only takes power from slats 1 and 2 and is not influenced by the others. In order to enable the vehicle to drive continuously over the other slats, the same advantageously has rotating centrifugal masses that are connected to the drive motor and are accelerated by the same when the vehicle with its sliding contacts over the slats 1 and 2, and their inertia energy is transferred to the vehicle as soon as it is de-energized.
In an analogous manner, current flows through the motor winding 24 when two of the sliding contacts 20 and 21 or 22 and 23 are on the slats 1 and 3, while the rectifiers block the passage of the supply direct current when the sliding contacts, for example, with the slats 2 and 1 come into contact. This vehicle, too, expediently has rotating flywheels in order to overcome the dead spots in the roadway, which masses enable the vehicle to continue driving by releasing their inertial energy.
The two vehicles can therefore be put into or out of operation independently of one another, despite driving on the same lane at the same time, and can be regulated individually by actuating the control resistors 18 and 19.
According to one not. shown variant can. through a suitable choice of dimensions. the insulating strip 4 reached between the individual slats. be that the sliding contacts 7 and 8 or 9 and 10 of a vehicle only fit on the assigned Lamel len 1 and 2, not.
but for example on the slats 2 and 3 or 3 and 1, while the sliding contacts 20 and 27 or 22 and 23 of the other vehicle only fit on the slats 1 and 3, but not on the other slat steps. In this case, the supply source 1 'can also be an alternating current source.
. The two movements 11 and 24 shown in FIG. 6 can, instead of being on two separate vehicles, also be two different electrical loads on one and the same vehicle, one of which is the drive motor. The other consumer can be, for example, a solenoid for steering the vehicle, an electroacoustic signal transmitter or the like.
It is also possible to use additional electrical consumers by analogous expansion of the groups of lamellas in the roadway independently of one another. especially steer outside of the lane.
The road itself. Is. expediently manufactured in such a way that the electrically conductive roadway parts are sprayed onto a carrier made of insulating material as lamellas, steamed or applied alvanic.
