-3-methyl- 5-pyrazolon in alkali-hydroxydalkalisehein Medlum erhältlichen Disazofarbstoff lierstel- len.
Additional patent to main patent no. <B> 273955. </B> Process for the production of an aqueous solution of a complex metal compound. It has been found that an aqueous solution of a valuable complex metal compound is obtained if the complex copper compound of the formula which is visually soluble in <B> C </B> water is used
EMI0001.0004
reacted in an aqueous medium with monoethanolamine.
The aqueous solution contains a new complex metal coating which is stable in solution and which, in addition to copper, also contains monoethanolamine in complex bonds. The solution is dyed burgundy and gives strong burgundy dyes on cotton.
The water-soluble copper compound of the above formula which serves as the starting material in the present process can be obtained by the action of copper-releasing agents on the compound tetrazotized by coupling of 1 mol. 3,3-Dioxy-4,4-diaminodiphenyl with 2 mol of 1- (8-sulfo-2-naphthyl)
-3-methyl-5-pyrazolone in alkali-hydroxydalkali available in medlum disazo dye. The sellwerlösliehe copper compound can also be prepared by coupling the tetrazotized 3,3-diietlioxy-4,4'-diaminodiphenyl. treated with 1- (8 # -Sulfo- 2'-naphthyl) -3-meth.y1-5-pyrazolon available disazo dye under such conditions with copper-donating agents,
that the complex formation occurs with elimination of the methyl groups in the methoxy groups. In both cases it is advisable to use a copper-tetrammine compound as the copper-releasing agent, although a higher reaction temperature is of course expedient for the aforementioned conversion of the di- (o-oxy-o'-methoxy) -azolar substance into the copper complex about <B> 850)
</B> and a longer time are required than for the coppering of the di- (o, o'-dioxy) -azo dye.
The implementation of the complex copper connection with the monoethanolamine takes place in an aqueous medium, expediently using an excess of monoethanolamine, eg. B. of at least as much ethanolamine as dye.
The complex copper compound obtained in this way, which in addition to the copper also contains ethanolamine in a complex bond, has the valuable property of being sub-microscopically dispersed to truly dissolved in water. The copper compound is stable in aqueous solution; however, it disintegrates on drying or also on dyeing, evidently with the escape of the base from the complex and reformation of the poorly soluble starting material.
<I> Example. </I> <B> 1 </B> Part of the copper compound of the paraffin from <B> 1 </B> mol of tetrazotized 3,3'-dioxy-4,4 # -diaminodiphenyl and 2 Moles of 1- (8'-sulfo-0'-naphthyl) -3-methyl-5-pyrazolone are poured over 200 parts of hot water and, after adding 2 parts of monoethanolamine, boiled.
The Idare stock solution obtained in this way is added to <B> 2800 </B> parts of water from <B> 60 </B> to <B> 700 </B>, with the dye going into real solution as a complex Can be used for dyeing as follows: After adding 2 parts of trisodium phosphate, <B> 100 </B> parts of cotton are shredded and the temperature is increased to boil within half an hour while the goods are agitated. The mixture is boiled for one hour, 15 parts of crystallized sodium sulate being added after 5 and 20 minutes of boiling. After the end of the coloring, the bath is well undressed. The goods are thoroughly rinsed and dried.
The result is a clear, bluish Bordeaux coloration of remarkable wash fastness and excellent light fastness.
