Towing device for ski lifts. The present invention relates to a towing device for ski lifts, with a tow rope that can be unwound from a drum against the action of a spring.
In known towing devices of the type mentioned. the tow drum arranged in a housing which is articulated ver by a rod-shaped support with the umlau fenden wire rope of the ski lift connected. At the lower end of the tow rope is a tow bar for taking one or two skiers.
When the towing device is not in use, the tow rope is rolled up onto the tow drum, the tow bar often being held in a guide of the drum housing.
When the tow bar is grasped, the tow rope rolls off the drum against the action of the spring, the spring causing a certain amount of braking in the tow rope process.
However, this braking effect is only slight, so that at the end of the tow rope run the drum suddenly stops, with the skier leaning against the tow bar being jerked along or set in motion. becomes.
According to the invention, this inconvenience is remedied by the fact that the towing drum is connected to a hydraulic brake, which is designed in such a way that it causes the braking torque acting on the towing drum to increase as the towing rope increases, thereby causing a delay in the towing process. This means that when the tow bar is detected, the tow rope can initially be unwound from the drum without any major resistance. The more the tow unrolled. However, the greater the resistance, which is opposed to the unwinding of the tow ent.
This has. As a result, the roll-off process is increasingly experiencing a delay, with a corresponding, constantly increasing pull being exercised on the tow bar, so that the skier who leans against the tow bar is initially only set in motion slowly and until the speed is reached the rotating wire rope is increasingly accelerated.
In view of the described jerky entrainment of skiers with the known towing devices, the speed of the wire rope had to be chosen to be relatively low. The more even acceleration in the towing device according to the invention now enables a considerable increase in the speed of Umlaufge. of the wire rope.
The drawing shows an exemplary embodiment of the subject matter of the invention, namely FIG. 1 shows a longitudinal section through the winding drum of the towing device and FIG. 2 shows a side view of the towing device on a smaller scale. In the example shown (Fig. 2) be 1 draws a piece of one strand of the wire rope running around. 2 denotes the so-called hanger or housing with the winding drum arranged therein. The case \? is usually hinged by a rod-shaped support 3 at 4 on the wire rope 1 on.
With 5 on the winding drum 6 (Fig. 1) rollable tow rope is referred to. The winding drum 6 is rigid with its hub 7 with the shaft. 8 connected to the drum. The shaft 8 is at one end by a ball bearing 9 in the housing 2 and at the other end in the one cover 10 of an assembled with the housing 2, coaxial to the shaft 8, with a liquid, for. B. stored with oil-filled cylinder 11. With a spiral spring 12 is designated, the inner end of which is firmly connected to the winding drum 6 and the outer end of the housing 2. The shaft 8 is designed in the interior of the cylinder 11 as a screw spindle 8 ', which passes through a piston 13 arranged in the cylinder 11 in a nut thread 13'.
Parallel to the spindle 8 'run two tubular bodies 14 and 15, which pass through the piston 13 and cover 10 and 10' are held in bores in the cylinder. The tubular bodies 14, 15 are each provided on one end face with a check valve 16 or 17 with overflow 16 'or 17' opening into the cylinder interior. At the ends facing away from the check valves 16, 17, the tubular bodies 14, 15 are each provided with a row of holes 18 and 19 arranged in the pipe wall. The bores arranged in the pipe body 15 decrease in cross section towards the adjacent pipe end or towards the cylinder cover 10, as can be clearly seen from Fig.l.
The tubular body 15 consists of two tubes 15 and 15 'pushed into one another, the inner tube 15' being arranged in the outer, fixed tube 15 with a sliding fit and against rotation relative to the outer one by a screw 21 guided in a slot 20 of the tube 15. Tube 15 is secured. A screw 23 secured against axial displacement in the cylinder base 10 is mounted in the end wall 2 2 of the inner tube 15 ′. The screw 23 is accessible by means of a screwdriver after loosening a screw cover 2-1. When the screw 23 is turned, the inner tube 15 'is axially displaced relative to the outer tube 1.5, the bores of one tube being at least partially covered by the tube wall of the other tube.
In this way, the flow cross section of the bores 19 can optionally be changed.
The operation of the device described above be as follows: When unwinding the tow rope 5 in the direction of arrow A, the winding drum 6 is rotated together with the shaft 8 while the piston 13 is moved in the direction of arrow B in Fig. 1 to the left. The oil in the cylinder space I is driven through the bores 19, after passing the tubular body 15 and the non-return valve 17, to flow through the overflow 17 'into the cylinder space II.
As the piston 13 moves in the direction of arrow B, the bores 19 are covered or closed one after the other by the piston body 13, so that with increasing piston movement in the direction of arrow 13, the cross section for the oil flow from the cylinder chamber I into the Cylinder chamber II is getting smaller and smaller, making the piston movement ever larger, progressively, for. B. rise parabolically the resistance opposite and at the same time the unwinding speed of the tow rope 5 from the drum 6 is delayed. In this way, the aforementioned successive acceleration of the skier who is supporting against the tow bar comes about.
In the described unwinding of the tow rope 5, the coil spring 12 is tensioned GE. If the skier lets go of the tow bar on reaching the mountain station, the spiral spring 12 causes the tow rope 5 to roll up in the direction of the arrow C. Here, the spindle 8 'rotates in the opposite direction, with the piston 13 in the direction of the arrow D is shifted in the cylinder 11.
The oil located in the Zylin derraum 11 is pushed back through the bores 18, the interior of the Bohrkör pers 1-1 and through the check valve 16 and the overflow 16 'into the cylinder chamber 1. With progressive displacement of the piston 13 in the direction of arrow D, the bores 18 are covered one after the other by the piston body, which also has the consequence that the movement of the piston and the nickel drum is slowed ver. This has the advantage that the speed at which the tow rope is rolled up is more and more delayed, so that when the tow rope is fully rolled up, the tow bar does not hit the drum or the housing, but rather is quietly placed on it.
