Process for the production of thermally insulated containers and containers produced by the process.
The invention relates to a method for producing heat-insulated containers, and containers produced according to the method. The process can be used to manufacture heating and refrigerating cabinets.
Known cooling and heating cabinets have load-bearing components, e.g. B. frames, outer and inner walls or masonry, and insulating intermediate layers for which a variety of materials can be used. The cabinets can also have walls that have been manufactured for themselves as finished insulation elements, or the insulation can be attached in the form of plates or similar individual elements.
In order to avoid the expensive frame construction, it has already been proposed that the insulation itself be designed as a load-bearing wall in the case of Kiil barriers. The wall consists, for example, of a layer of Sehaum cement and an artificial marble layer that forms the inner lining.
The invention is based on the idea that the production of heat-insulated containers can only be made cheaper by a casting process. The process for the production of such containers, in which the insulation forms a self-supporting housing, is based on the fact that a plate determined as the front and a base frame determined as a base are inserted into a hollow mold and, by pouring in a foam-like solidifying, in liquid State of insulating material having adhesive properties are connected to one another, the hollow shape being protected against sticking of the insulating material by a separating layer.
This separating layer can consist of foils which are intended to cover the container surfaces made of insulating material.
For the outer cladding, for. B. a plastic film can be used, which is due to its low strength and the in ge. In the curved state, the clamping force that is present tightly clings to the inner wall of the hollow shape intended for the Gu #. If z. B. for support grids, evaporators and other items of equipment from certain supporting elements are provided, these are cast into the insulating layer.
If an inner cladding is provided in the form of a film, this can be held in place during the casting process by the support elements, which are e.g. B. are fastened by screws to the core necessary for the cavity.
In the case of insulating materials that are vapor-absorbing and water-repellent, the outer and inner lining can also be omitted. A cladding can also be created by painting it with paint after casting. To prevent the insulating compound from sticking to the form, z. B. a film, which is later removed, can be provided.
The drawing relates to an exemplary embodiment of the container according to the invention. The method according to the invention is also explained using this example. It shows :
1 shows a perspective view of a container in the hollow mold, partly in view and partly in section, FIG. 2 shows the container erected after the casting mold and the cores have been removed.
The drawn container, the z. B. represents the housing of a refrigerator, has a Soekel 5, a plate 6 on the front with the openings for the refrigerator and the machine room and with foils 7, 8 and 9 clad walls made of foam-solid solidified insulating material 10. The walls are self-supporting and have Cast-in support elements 11, one of which is shown for the evaporator.
The manufacture of the container proceeds as follows: The outer walls 2 of the mold, the cores 3 and 4 for the cavities as well as the plate 6 intended as the front and the base frame 5 intended as the base of the container are arranged on the base plate 1 of the casting mold. All of these parts can e.g. B. consist of wood. The plate 6 is expediently so strong that door fittings can be attached to it. A plastic can also be used as the material for the plate 6, the pore-free surface of which makes any post-processing, painting, etc. unnecessary. A rectangular foil 7 intended as the outer covering is arranged in the mold. Since it does not have to serve as a load-bearing component, it can be kept relatively thin, for example 0.6 mm.
The film is expediently made of plastic, for example synthetic resin. It can be elastic and inserted into the hollow form and, due to the tension force present in the bent state, it can be attached to the Auldell wall of the hollow form in such a way that no further fastening means are necessary.
Slides 8 and 9, e.g. B. made of synthetic resin, are placed in the mold to form the inner lining for the cavities. The foils are provided to prevent the insulating material from sticking to the mold. The insulating material 10, which has adhesive strength in the liquid state, connects all the specified parts of the container to one another when it is poured into the mold. The insulating material solidifies to form a self-supporting, relatively hard, foam-like mass.
A known foam which can be formed from a polyester and a diisocyanate is particularly suitable as an insulating material which solidifies in the form of a foam and has adhesive properties in a liquid state.
Depending on the choice of the mixing ratio between the two components, one can produce foam with high insulating properties and lower strength or those with high strength and lower insulating properties.
Supporting elements intended for support grids, evaporators and other items of equipment are cast into the insulating compound. During the casting process, these support elements hold the film intended as the inner lining. For this purpose, they are firmly pressed against the core wall by means of not shown visual robes that go through the core wall. After the casting has been completed, the screw connection is loosened, the cores are removed and the rough holes in the support elements are ready to receive fastening screws for equipment in the container.
Instead of the foils intended for cladding the container, it is also possible to provide foils that are detached from the container again after pouring. When using @ an appropriate insulating material you can leave the surface of the cast container raw or with a Deekanstrieh, z. B. a lacquer coating provided. You can also place a Deek plate in the mold for the rear wall, which Deek plate connects to the insulating compound in the same way as the other parts when the container is poured. In this case, a sprue and a riser will be provided on the mold, which will be sawn off later.
The invention makes it possible, by casting, to manufacture containers in one operation, the surface of which meets all requirements in terms of technical, physical, hygienic and aesthetic aspects. Containers intended as refrigerators can already contain all supporting elements that are necessary for equipping with a mechanical cooling device.
