<B> Foot pump. </B> The known air pumps that can be operated by means of a foot lever have the disadvantage that the suction stroke of the pump has too large a harmful space, so that the greatest possible amount of air cannot be conveyed, and also the level of air pressure that can be achieved is relatively small.
The present invention aims to increase the pump performance. According to the invention, this is achieved in that a backlash valve is built into the air outlet in the pump cylinder cover and that the piston rod has a crank at its point of engagement on the foot lever to achieve a larger piston.
In the drawing, for example, an execution forum of the subject invention is shown. 1 shows a side view of the foot pump with the foot lever lowered, FIG. 2 shows a side view of the foot pump with the foot lever raised, FIG. 3 shows a top view of the foot pump, partly in section along line I-I in Feg. Sweep 4 is a plan view of the foot pump with the foot lever lowered and the pump hose set for non-use, FIG. 5 is a partial view with a section through the check valve of the pump cylinder and FIG. 6 is a cross section through the base plate.
The pump shown has a rectangular round plate 1 cast from a light metal alloy, which has recesses 2 to reduce the weight. Cross webs 3 are formed between the recesses, which are provided with reinforcing ribs 4. The longitudinal edges of the base plate have longitudinal ribs 5. At the rear end of the base plate, two bearings 6 are provided laterally, in which a foot lever 8, also cast from a light metal alloy, is pivotably mounted by means of a shaft 7. A spring 9 is mounted on the shaft 7, one end of which is against the base plate and its other end is supported against the foot lever.
This spring is. endeavors to swing the foot lever in its high position. Bearings 10 are formed at the front end of the base plate 1. On an axle 11 rotatably mounted in these bearings, the pump cylinder 12 is pivotably mounted by means of tabs 14 arranged on its front cover 13. The rear cover 15 of the pump cylinder has a sawing guide 16 which is provided with oils and Sehmierdoeht <B> 1.6 '</B>, in which the cuff pistons made of leather in the. Cylinder 12 working piston rod 17 is guided. The outer end of the piston rod is cranked.
The ends of the crosspiece 18 forming the crimping are supported in bearings 19 of the foot lever 8. Through this cranking, a higher point can be selected as a pivot bearing for the crosspiece 18 with a low 2D foot lever and a lowered Pum penzylinder, and thereby a greater piston stroke can be achieved with the same pivoting path of the foot lever.
The foot lever has on its part lying outside the bearing 19 to a recess 20 through which a knocking of the Zy Linders 12 on the inside of the foot lever in the pivoted down position is prevented ver. The free end of the foot lever 3 has a cambered part 8 'which is corrugated on the upper surface and on which the foot can be placed for the purpose of actuating the foot lever. In a thickening 21 of the cover 13, the air outlet duct 22, in which a check valve 23 is built, is formed. The air outlet channel 22 is connected by a flexible line 24 to a connection piece 25 which is fastened to the base plate 1 by means of screws 26.
A pressure gauge 27 and the pump hose 28 with a known mouthpiece 29 are connected to the connector 25. On the swingably mounted end of the foot lever, two viewing screws 30 are attached at a distance from one another, which are used to attach the hose when the pump is not in use. For this purpose, as shown in FIG. 4, the water is placed around the front end of the pump cylinder, then the foot lever is folded down, the hose end is placed around one of the screws 30 and hung on the other screw 30 by means of a loop 31 attached to the hose end.
In order to be able to set the foot lever in the folded down position, a pin 32 is attached to the side at the outer end of the foot lever, while a lever 35 provided with a hook 34 is bent on the axis 11, which is secured on the one hand by a cotter pin 33, on the other hand. On request, the foot pump can be attached to the floor by screwing or nailing, for which purpose at the corners of the base plate 1 provided with mounting hole flanges 37 are cast.
The check valve built into the air inlet channel 22 ensures full utilization of the working space of the pump, in that the harmful space present in the lines 24, 25 and in the pump sehlatreh is shut off by the check valve with each suction stroke. Thanks to the check valve, the pressure in lines 24 and 25 as well as in the pump hose is maintained even during the suction stroke, and higher pressures can be achieved than with previous pumps of this type. The pump pressure achieved can be checked on the 27 manometer.
