La présente invention a bour but d'obvier à cet inconvénient.
Machine tool, in particular a milling machine, comprising a device making it possible to maintain the direction of rotation of the automatic advance control shaft when the direction of rotation of the drive shaft is reversed. In known machine tools having an automatic feed control shaft which is driven by a drive shaft closely connected to the tool spindle, for example, time has to be sacrificed to operate a transmission by. belts or by gears if, during a reversal of the direction of rotation of the drive shaft, the control shaft of the automatic feed must continue to rotate in the same direction as before said reversal of the direction of rotation.
The present invention aims to obviate this drawback. Its object is a machine tool, in particular a milling machine, comprising a device making it possible to maintain the direction of rotation of the automatic advance control shaft during a reversal of the direction of rotation of the shaft. 'drive, characterized in that this device comprises two freewheel couplings arranged to transmit the movement of the drive shaft to the control shaft of the automatic advance, one when the drive shaft. drive rotates in one direction and the other when this drive shaft rotates in the other direction.
In a preferred embodiment, the two said couplings have a common driven part integral with the control shaft of the automatic advance and coaxial with. this tree; in addition, they each have a driving part comprising a conical toothed pinion. In addition, in this form, the device comprises a third conical toothed pinion, integral with the drive shaft, with which these two bevel pinions are constantly engaged.
In. In this form, the two couplings are arranged side by side, the two pinions of their driving parts being coaxial.
The appended drawing represents, by way of example, an embodiment of the device comprising the machine tool which is the subject of the present invention.
Fig. 1 is a view of a device, part in section along a plane containing the axes of the drive and control shafts of the automatic advance of a machine tool comprising this device.
Figs. 2 and 3 are dirty cross sections along lines II-II, III-III respectively of FIG. 1.
The automatic feed control shaft 1 of the machine tool rotates in bearings 2a and 2b of a support 2 of the device. The axis of the drive shaft 3 of the machine tool intersects the axis of the shaft 1 at right angles; this shaft 3 rotates in another bearing of the same support 2.
The shaft 1 has a median coaxial part 4 of enlarged diameter. Two conical toothed pinions 5, 6 are held axially fixed between this part 4 of the shaft 1 and the bearings 2a and 2b of the support 2, respectively. They mesh constantly with a conical toothed pin 7 manufactured with the drive shaft 3.
Part 4- of shaft 1 has notches 8 and 9 on both sides. Each notch 8 is aligned with a notch 9 in the direction of the axis of shaft 1. The walls of these notches 8, 9 and the inner surface of an annular part 5a, 6a which each of the pinions 5, 6 presents delimits several spaces in each of which a roller 10 is housed.
In blind bores 11 which have been made in part 4 of shaft 1 are gui dice pistons 12 and housed springs 13 which tend to jam the rollers 10 between part 4 of shaft 1 and the annular part 5a, 6a respectively of the pinions 5 and 6. These rollers 10, this part 4, as well as the pinions 5 and 6, which cooperate together, constitute two freewheel couplings. Part 4 of shaft 1 constitutes the driven part of each of the two couplings, the driving parts of which are the annular parts 5a, 6a of the pinions 5, respectively 6.
Either of these couplings drives the shaft 1 only in the direction of rotation indicated by arrows 14. The pinions 5 and 6 are constantly in engagement with a third bevel toothed pinion 7 which comprises the device, this pinion 7 being integral with the shaft 3. The task of the device, as we know, is to maintain the rotation of the shaft 1 controlling the automatic advance in one direction, here in the direction of arrows 14, regardless of the direction of rotation of the drive shaft 3.
In the first case, suppose that the shaft 3 turns in the direction of the arrow 15. The pin 7 which is integral with this shaft 3 then drags the pinion 5 in the direction of the arrows 14 and the pinion 6 in rotation, coaxial, in the direction of rotation opposite to that of the arrows 14. The freewheel coupling comprising the pinion 5, the rollers 10 and the part 4 comes into operation and drives the shaft 1 in the direction of the arrows 14. In the second case, that is to say when the shaft 3 turns in the direction of arrow 16, the pinion 6 is moved in the direction of the arrows 14 by the pinion 7, and the coupling comprising this pinion 6, rollers 10 and part 4 drives the shaft 1 in the direction of arrows 14.
In this case or in the other, that of the couplings whose driving part turns in the direction opposite to that of the arrows 14 remains inactive.
During the service of the machine tool, in particular of the milling machine to which the device described above belongs, the direction of rotation of the shaft 1 therefore always remains the same, whatever the direction of rotation of the shaft d. 'in drag 3, which can be closely connected to the tool spindle, and that. without the operator servicing the machine having to make any maneuver.
So that the shaft 1 can be driven in rotation rapidly in the same direction as that in which it is moved by the shaft 3, the direction indicated by the arrows 14, but without passing through said couplings, the machine tool can be fitted an electric motor (not shown) directly attacking this shaft 1 and causing it to rotate in the direction of arrows 14, the two freewheel couplings are then disabled. Shaft 1 rotates in the direction of arrows 14, without however dragging one or other of the pinions 5 and 6, or even pinion 7 of shaft 3.
