Handgelenkte Brennschneidmaschine.
Hand-operated flame cutting machine. The present invention relates to a hand-operated flame cutting machine with at least two wheels, one of which is driven by a motor to advance the machine ge compared to the workpiece, and with a steering handle through which the machine with one hand along a written, z. B. chalked in advance, cutting line on the workpiece performed who can.
With the known flame cutting machines of this type it is difficult or impossible to cut perfectly along curves with small radii of curvature, because in such cases the torch attached to the side of the feed wheel receives a speed which is equal to that of the feed wheel differs significantly. As can easily be seen, the speed of the burner is greater than that of the feed wheel if the path of the burner is concave as seen from the feed wheel, and less than that of the feed wheel if the path of the burner as seen from the feed wheel is convex is.
Tried when cutting along concave curvatures with small radii. you sometimes help yourself by stopping the drive motor for a short time; however, the results are mostly unsatisfactory.
The purpose of the present invention is to improve the usability of the machine for cutting curves with small radii of curvature, and consists in the fact that a clutch is installed between the drive motor and the feed plate, the switching element of which is so attached and designed that it can be operated with the hand resting on the steering handle.
In the accompanying drawing, an exemplary embodiment of the invention is shown. Fig. 1 is a longitudinal section through a flame cutting machine according to the invention; Fig. 2 is a cross-section on the line II-II of Fig. 1; Fig. 3 is a cross-section through the steering handle of the machine along the line 111-11I in Fig.1; Fig. 4 is a in the same manner as Fig. laid cross-section through a modified version of the coupling.
In the: @Iaseliine according to FIGS. 1 to 3, an electric motor 2 is built into a housing 1, which drives a screw 5 by means of a transmission device 3. The cooperating with the worm 5 worm wheel 6, which is freely rotatably arranged on a shaft 7, represents one half of a hitch ment, the other half 8 on the shaft 7 axially displaceable and by means of the wedge J against rotation with respect to said Shaft is secured.
On the same shaft, the two running wheels 10, 11 of the machine are attached, one (10) of which is freely rotatable on the shaft, while the other (11) is firmly connected to the shaft 7 and represents the forward feed wheel of the machine. The cutting torch 12 is arranged laterally next to the feed wheel 11. The coupling half S is pressed by a spring 13 against the worm wheel 6, but can be disengaged by a switching mechanism which consists of a switching lever 15, a rotating rod 16 around an arm 17, which is connected to an annular groove 19 of the coupling half 8 engaging pin is provided.
The shift lever 15 is arranged on the steering handle 14 of the machine so that it can be conveniently operated with the hand held the steering handle tight.
In addition to a switch 20, the actuator 21 of which is attached to the front of the handle, the motor circuit contains a variable resistor 22 for regulating the motor speed and thus also the advance speed. The rheostat is set by means of a rotary knob 23. When the shift lever 15 is in its rest position (the outer position), the "and 11" are connected to the motor and thus cause the machine to move automatically on the workpiece, the machine being steered by means of the handle 14 so that the Torch 12 exactly follows the prescribed cutting line If the switching lever 15 is pressed in, the feed wheel is switched off so that the machine can be moved by hand at any speed.
In the modified embodiment according to FIG. 4, the movable coupling half is divided into two parts 8a, Sb, between which a number of pressure springs 24 distributed around the circumference are provided, whereby a softer engagement and disengagement of the feed wheel 11 is made possible. This makes it easier to use the clutch; if desired, can be sanded.
In the embodiment described above, the setting knob 23 of the control resistor is attached so that it can be operated with the index finger of the hand holding the handle 14. So you can control the speed of the feed wheel during the cutting process, if desired, also by means of the button 23.
The coupling can preferably be designed in such a way that it enables the drive wheel to be switched on and off smoothly as soon as the radius of curvature of the cutting line is less than about three times the distance between the core line of the burner and the feed wheel. The movement of the burner is then continued immediately by hand. If the radius of curvature of the cutting line should increase again to the stated amount during the following cutting process, the clutch is engaged again so that the feed is taken over by the drive motor. The drive motor of the machine can expediently continue to run continuously during the periods in which the feed wheel is switched off.
When cutting along curves that are convex as seen from the feed wheel, instead of disengaging it completely, you can let the clutch slip to facilitate the feed. The clutch must always be fully disengaged when cutting along concave curves. In some cases it becomes advantageous. be to couple the switching element of the clutch with the switch for the drive motor, for example, such that the switching element is also the actuator of said switch. -.Jan can either make the arrangement so that in the rest position of the switching element both the motor and the.
Clutch are switched off, or hit in such a way that the engine is switched off in the rest position, but the clutch is engaged. In both cases, the switching element has two different working positions, in one of which both the motor and the clutch are switched on, while in the other the motor is switched on, but the clutch is disengaged. Preferably, a snap-in device or the like is provided, which distinguishes the first of the two above-mentioned working positions of the common switching element. This working position can be arranged between the rest position and the second working position of the switching element. The switching element can, for.
B. be designed as a resilient lever or derglei Chen, which snaps into the genann th first working position in a detent or the like. When cutting, the middle position (first working position) of the switching element is normally used. If a curve section with a small curvature half dimension is to be cut, the switching element is moved over to the second working position, whereby the clutch is disengaged while the motor remains switched on and the machine is moved further by hand.
