Additional patent to main patent no. 268844. Process for the production of a copper-containing dye. The present patent relates to a process for the production of a copper-containing dye and is characterized in that 7.
Mol of tetrazotized dianisidine in any order with 1,311 of 1-oxynaphthalene-3,6,8-trisulphonic acid and 1 haul of the acidic coupling of diazotised sulphanilic acid with 2-phenylamino-5-oxynaphthalin-7-sulphonic acid obtained 1 "lonoazo dye combined,
treated the dye obtained to Sehliessung the azine ring with acids or acidic salts and then. the dye is converted into the copper complex by heating with copper-releasing agents.
The dye, which is already known per se, dyes cotton and regenerated celhtlose in lively greenish pale shades of excellent light and wash fastness.
In the following example, parts mean parts by weight.
Example: 24.4 parts of dianisidine are tetrazotized as usual and combined with 38.4 parts of 1-oxynaphthalene-3,6,8-trisulfonic acid in the presence of soda, while cooling with ice. After the intermediate compound has formed, an alkaline solution of the sodium salt of 54.3 parts of the monoazo dye obtained by acidic coupling of diazotized sulfanilic acid with 2-phenylamino-5-oxynaphthalene-7-sulfonic acid is added.
After coupling has ended, the dye is isolated, which dissolves in hot water with blue and in concentrated sulfuric acid with a greenish blue color. To convert the dye containing the azimuth, the trisazo dye is dissolved in 1000 parts of hot water, 67 parts of 30% hydrochloric acid are added at 85-900 and the mixture is stirred at this temperature for 1 hour.
When the azine formation has ended, the solution is made alkaline and the dye is isolated, which dissolves in hot water with a greenish blue color and in concentrated sulfuric acid with a green color. To display the copper complex, the dye is heated with copper releasing agents until the methoxy groups are split up. The copper-containing dye dyes cotton and regenerated cellulose in lively greenish blue tones with excellent light and wash fastness.
