Description
Box formed from a sheet of collapsible material.
The object of the present invention is a box formed from a foldable sheet of material, of the kind of cereals which are formed from a flat sheet cut to give it the desired shape, and of which the various parts are folded and linked together.
According to the invention, the box is characterized in that said sheet is folded so as to form, in a part of this sheet intended to constitute the body of the box, parts of double walls surrounding the central free space of the box. , on the four sides of the body thereof, and thus to provide, between the outer walls and said inner wall parts, free spaces intended to ensure effective protection of the products packaged in this box.
Such boxes are preferably used for packaging ampoules of injection liquids and products, ampoules capable of being easily destroyed or damaged under the effect of pressure or sudden shock exerted on the box.
The appended drawing represents, by way of example, an embodiment of the box which is the subject of the invention.
Fig. 1 shows the cut sheet from which the box is formed, and
fig. 2 is a perspective view of the finished box.
As can be seen in fig. 1, the cut sheet is marked according to a double rectangular frame 1 which surrounds four fins 2, 3, 4 and 5 intended to constitute parts of the interior walls of the body of the box. This frame is adjacent to four sides 2 ', 3', 4 'and 5' intended to constitute the outer walls of said body. The remainder of the cut sheet is intended to constitute other parts of the box, which will not be described in detail, since they are indistinguishable from the corresponding parts of known boxes.
To assemble the box, the cut sheet shown in la. fig. 1, the inner frame 1 of the latter surrounding the central free space of the box, in which, with or without having intermediate support members therein, fragile objects can be packed so as to be perfectly fit. shelter. These objects will not only be protected by the spaces left free between the inner fins 2, 3, 4 and 5 and the outer sides 2 ', 3', 4 'and 5', but also by the great rigidity that such a body has. box, rigidity which ensures that the space required between the bottom 7 and the neck 8 is preserved in all the conditions of use of the box.
These boxes may have various sizes, proportions and shapes, and will generally be made of cardboard.
However, instead of cardboard, any sheet material could be employed, provided that it is sufficiently strong, yet capable of being folded and refolded without deterioration.
