Device ensuring the launch of the balance during the winding of a clockwork movement. The object of the invention is a device ensuring the launching of the balance during the winding of a clockwork movement.
It is known, in fact, that a clockwork movement does not necessarily start moving when it is wound up, it is even more often the case.
However, there are movements which are frequently called upon to stop and then to be wound up for a limited period of walking. This case is encountered, for example, in movements of timers called to control electrical contacts, to open or close them after a determined time. In such devices, to which the invention is not however limited, it is necessary for each winding to correspond to a start-up.
This problem is solved, according to the present invention, by the fact that a member rotated during reassembly carries a stopper describing a circumference and meeting, during reassembly, a hook terminating a rocker in a slot from which a pin penetrates. fixed serving as a guide, this rocker being subjected to the action of a return spring seeking to bring it back to a determined rest position, this rocker carrying a thin and flexible rod capable of giving an impulse to the rocker when the rocker escapes the stopper and returns to its rest position. The drawing schematically represents an embodiment of the object of the invention, given by way of example.
Figs. 1 to 4 show the main parts of the device in four different positions.
Figs. 5 and 6 are detail views. Is. the balance 1 of a clockwork movement, not shown, which winds up by acting on the axis 2, so as to make it rotate in the direction of the arrow of the fia. 1 to 3.
In fig. 1, we see a stop 3, integral with a mobile driven by the axis 2 and therefore rotating with it and, partially surrounding this stop, the hook 4 of a lever 5.
This lever has a slot 6 cooperating with a fixed pin 7, to guide it and to limit its movements.
It is moreover subjected to the action of a return spring 8, fixed at 9, and carries a thin and flexible rod 10 extending as far as the rim of the balance (see fig. 5).
The position of FIG. 1 of flip-flop 5 is its. normal rest position, to which the spring 8 constantly tends to bring it back.
When the spring of the movement in question is wound up, the stop 3 moves along the circumference in phantom lines with center 2 and in the direction of the arrow.
During this movement, the stop 3 meets and drives the rocker 5 by its hook to the limit position of FIG. 2, that the, pin 7 cooperating with the slot 6 em fishing to exceed.
In this position, the rod 10 comes into contact with the balance then, the winding continuing, the hook 4 escapes from the stop 3.
This instant is shown in FIG. 3. The rocker, which had previously accomplished a translational movement and hardly oscillated clockwise in the drawing, is now being pushed backwards, in a counterclockwise direction. This swinging brings the point of attachment of the rod 10 slightly above the profile of the balance 1, which forces this rod to bend and ensures good application against the balance (see FIG. 6).
It is. from this position, the return spring 8 brings the rocker abruptly back, to the position of FIG. 1. It therefore moves back the length of the slot 6 in the direction of the arrow 11, and the rod 10 gives an impulse to the balance, which it then leaves leaving it free to oscillate.
It is therefore, as can easily be seen, impossible to wind the movement without simultaneously causing an impulse of the balance ensuring the start of the movement.
In the event that reassembly would require several turns of axis 2, it is obvious that each passage of the stop 3 opposite the hook 4 will trigger the operations just described, which does not present any disadvantage. .
If the member carrying the stop 3 comes back during travel, the stop 3 can return to its starting position and even pass several times in front of the hook 4 without disturbing the progress of the movement. Fig. 4 shows in fact that, meeting the inclined dorsal face 12 of the head of the hook 4, the stop pushes the latter back in order to be able to pass. The rocker 5 oscillating around the pin 7 momentarily assumes the position of FIG. 4, then to return to that of FIG. 1. It can be seen that this function has no influence on the balance that the rod 10 does not reach.
