Additional patent to main patent no. 261125 Process for the production of a copper-compatible polyazo dye. In Patentsehrift No. 261125 valuable yellow to yellow-brown copperable poly azo dyes are described, which can be obtained by coupling 1 mol of a tetrazotized diamine of the general formula I
EMI0001.0011
where R is hydrogen, halogen, a methyl or an alkoxy group,
with 2 Mo1 the same or different couplable derivatives of an β-ketocarboxylic acid are obtained. Those dyestuffs are distinguished by their good fastness to water and washing, while the re-coppered dyeings have good fastness to light.
It has now also been found that you can ge to new copperable polyazo dyes, which are also characterized by very good wetness of the re-coppered dyeings and moreover have a desired red hue and improved lightness if you add 1 mol of the tetrazotized diamine general formula I in any order on the one hand with 11111 of a couplable derivative of an β-lietocarboxylic acid and on the other hand with.
1 mole of a naphtholsulfonic acid coupling in the neighboring position to the hydroxyl group, which may contain other substituents and also azo groups customary in these coupling components. In the new azo dyes, depending on the sequence of coupling, the rest of the naphthol sulfonic acid can be linked to both benzene ring A and B through the azo bridge.
Suitable derivatives of an β-ketocarboxylic acid capable of coupling are in particular acetoacetic arylides and 5-pyrazolones, which can otherwise contain the substituents customary in these coupling components.
Examples include: u) A.cetessi-acid arylides: acetoacetic anilide, 2-methoxy-acetic acid anilide, 4-ethoxy-acetic acid anilide, 4-amino-acetoacetic anilide, 2-methoxy @ -4-aminoacetoacetic acid. ureanilide, 2-, 3- or 4-chloroeaetacetic acid anilide, 2-, 3- or 4-methyl-acetacetic acid anilide,
2-11lethoxy-acetic acid anilidsulfonic acid; b) 5-pyrazolones: 3-methyl-5-pyrazolone, 1-phenyl-3-methyl-5-pyrazolone, 1- (4'-aminoplieny 1) -3-methy 1-5-pyrazolone, 1 - (4'-Aminophenyl) -3-phenyl-5-pyra.zolon, 1- (4'-,
3'- or 2'-chlorophenyl) -3-methyl-5-pyrazolone, 1- (4'-ethyl-phenyl) -3-methyl-5-pyrazolone, 1- (4 ': sulfa-phenyl) -3- methyl-5-pyrazolone, 1. - (V-amino-3'-sulfophenyl) -3-methyl-5-pyrazolone.
A coupling component from this group which has a particularly favorable effect on the drawability of cellulose fibers is 1- (4'-aminophenyl) -3-methyl-5-pyrazolone, which provides a particularly valuable group of dyes.
Examples of suitable naphtholsulfonic acids coupling in the vicinity of the hydroxyl group are 1,4-, 1,5-, 2,4-, 2,6-, 2,7-naphtholsulfonic acid;
Substituted naphtholsulphonic acids which can be used according to the invention are mainly aminonaphtholsulphonic acids or their derivatives modified at the nitrogen, for example 2-amino-5-oxynaphthalene-7-sulphonic acid and its N-acetyl or N-benzoyl derivatives, 2-phenylamino -5-oxynaphthalene- 7-sulfonic acid, 2- (4'-aminophenyl) -5-oxynaphthalene-7-sulfonic acid,
2-acetylamino or 2- benzoylamino-6-oxynaphthalene-8-sulfonic acid, 1-acetylamino-8-oxynaphthalene -4-sulfonic acid, 2 - acetylamino-5-oxynaphthalene-1-sulfonic acid, and naphthol sulfonic acids containing azo groups, the monoazo dyes obtained by acidic coupling of aminonaphtholsulfonic acids, in particular 2-amino-5-oxynaphthalene-7-sulfonic acid,
for example 1- (4'-oxy-3'-carboxy-phenyl-azo- [1 ']) -2-amino-5-oxynaphthalene-7-sulfonic acid, 1- (4'-nitro 2' carboxy-phenyl-azo - [1 ']) -2-amino-5-oxynaphthalene-7-sulfonic acid.
The new copperable polyazo dyes should preferably contain only one sulfonic acid group. They represent brown powders that dissolve in water with a brown color and dye fibers made of natural or regenerated cellulose from the Glauber's salt containing dye bath in orange to red-brown tones, which are washed and light-fast red-brown by coppering.
The coppering of the polyazo dyes according to the invention can be carried out in a dyebath or in a fresh bath with the usual copper salts, for example with copper sulfate or copper acetate, in a neutral or weakly acidic medium. Optionally, you can also use alkaline-resistant Kupferver compounds, such as. B. obtained in the reaction of copper sulfate with sodium tartar in a soda-alkaline bath.
The present patent is now a process for the preparation of a copper ble polyazo dye. The process is characterized in that 1 mol of the tetrazo compound of 1- (3'-amino-4'-ox @ - benzoylamino) -4-amino @ benzene-3-carboxylic acid is mixed with 1 mol of 1- (4'- Chlorophenyl)
-3-methyl-5-pyrazolone and on the other hand with 1 mol of 2-oxynaphthalene-4-sulfonsätire couples.
The new disaza dye obtained is a brownish-black powder which dissolves in water with brown and in concentrated sulfuric acid with an olive-brown color and stains fibers made of natural or regenerated cellulose in brown shades of very good fastness properties.
Example: 28.7 parts of 1- (3'-amin.o-4'-oxy-benzoylamino) -4-aminobenzene-3-earl) onic acid are added to 400 parts of water 8 parts of sodium hydroxide solution dissolved in the cold, mixed with 13.8 parts of sodium nitrite and added dropwise in the cold with stirring to 40 parts of concentrated hydrochloric acid and 80 parts of water. Naeli dein Ab blunt the excess mineral acid with sodium carbonate is mixed with 20.9 parts of (1- (4'-chlorophenyl) -3-methyl-5-ps-razolon, dissolved in 200 parts of water,
combined in the presence of 20 parts of sodium bicarbonate to form the intermediate product. After the coupling is complete, an aqueous solution of 22.4 parts of 2-ox5-naphthalene-4-sulfonic acid and 20 parts of soda are then added. and 150 parts of pyridine are allowed to flow in. The coupling is complete after several hours of stirring at room temperature and the disazo dye of the formula that has formed
