Fig. 2 ein Detail in einer Seitenansicht.
Fig. 1 zeigt eine Phase dieses Vorganges.
Device for dosing liquids, in particular for filling ampoules.
The present invention relates to a device for metering liquids, in particular for filling ampoules.
The sealing device according to the invention differs from the known metering devices operating on the principle of piston pumps in that it has a closed housing which is divided into an adjustment chamber and a metering chamber by a cushion membrane that can be inflated by means of compressed gas Gas discharge valve is in connection, and the adjustment chamber contains a liquid cushion and an adjustable piston acting on this, the latter being in operative connection with an adjustment and reading device,
and the dosing chamber is connected to a liquid supply valve and a liquid discharge valve, the whole thing in such a way that when the piston is not adjusted, liquid can be ejected from the dosing chamber of the same volume when the dosing chamber is filled with liquid and the liquid supply is closed Gas discharge valve the liquid discharge valve and the gas supply valve are opened so that the cushion membrane is inflated by compressed gas until the dosing chamber is filled,
whereupon the discharge valve of the dosing chamber and the gas supply valve are closed and the liquid supply and gas discharge valve are opened so that new liquid flows into the dosing chamber, the cushion membrane being compressed and completely emptied against the liquid cushion.
The drawing shows an example embodiment of the subject matter of the invention, namely shows:
Fig. 1 the device partly in vertical section and partly in side view, in a schematic representation, and
2 shows a detail in a side view.
In the example shown, 1 and 2 denote the two halves of a housing, which are in the form of spherical segments and are held together by flanges 1a and 2a. This housing is divided by a double-walled, on the circumference between the flanges la and 2a clamped cushion membrane 3a and 3b into an adjustment chamber 4 and a metering chamber 5 un. A gauze sheet 6 is arranged between the two walls 3a and 3b of the cushion membrane. A cylinder 7 is placed on the shell 1 of the housing, in which a liquid-tight piston 8 is displaceably mounted.
The piston 8 sits on a threaded spindle 10 which can be screwed into the bottom 9 of the cylinder 7 and which is firmly connected at its upper end to a cylindrical cap 10. On the outside, the cylinder is provided with a volume measuring scale 12, while the lower edge of the cap 11 is provided with a marker 13 and a vernier 14 :. To increase the grip, the cap 11 is provided with a border 15 on the outside of the m upper part. The adjustment chamber 4 and the cylinder 7 are filled with an incompressible, acid-resistant liquid 16, for example with glycerine.
The metering chamber 5 is connected, on the one hand, via a liquid supply valve 17 and via a liquid supply line 18 to a reservoir 19 which contains the liquid 20 to be filled. On the other hand, the dosing chamber 5 is connected via the liquid discharge valve to the liquid discharge line 21, which opens into a filling cannula 22.
The liquid discharge valve has a rubber hose piece 23 inserted into the liquid discharge line. An abutment 24 is arranged on one side of this hose piece. A stationary supported at 25 compression spring 26 seeks to develop the abutment 24 in contact with the hose piece 23 or in the position shown in FIG. hold. On the side of the hose piece 23 opposite the abutment 24, a lever arm 27 is arranged such that it can pivot about an axis 28. A pressure roller 29 is arranged on the end of the lever arm 27 facing the hose piece.
Fig. 1 shows the liquid stop valve in the open position. For the purpose of closing this valve, the lever arm 27 is pivoted in the direction of the arrow drawn, the hose piece 23 being squeezed together between the roller 29 and the resilient abutment 23 and blocking the flow.
With 30 is a Druckgasqmelle, for example one with. Steel cylinder filled with compressed air denotes to which a pressure reducing valve 31 is connected, by means of which the pressure of the gas contained in the cylinder 30 can be reduced to the required operating pressure.
The compressed gas source 30 communicates via a line 32 and 32 'and a gas supply valve 33 with the interior of the cushion membrane 3. The compressed gas source 30 is connected to the liquid reservoir 19 via the reducing valve 31 and a further line 34. The interior of the cushion membrane 3 can be brought into contact with the external atmosphere via a gas discharge valve 35 and the line 32 ′.
If the amount of liquid contained in the reservoir 19, determined by the position of the piston 8, is to be filled through the cannula 22, the gas supply valve 33 and the liquid discharge valve 23 to 29 are first closed and then the gas discharge valve 35 and the liquid supply valve 17 is opened. By the pressure of the gas contained in the reservoir 19, liquid 20 is forced through the liquid supply valve into the metering chamber 5, the walls 3a and 3b of the cushion membrane being pressed together and, completely emptied of air, applying to the liquid cushion 16.
If the metering chamber 5 is completely filled with liquid, the liquid supply valve 17 and the gas discharge valve 35 are closed and the gas supply valve 33 and the liquid discharge valve 23 to 29 are opened. When the valve 33 is opened, compressed gas flows from the bottle 30 through the lines 32, 32 'into the innerve of the membrane 3a, 3b and inflates the same. Fig. 1 shows a phase of this process. The inflation of the cushion membrane 3a, 3b causes the liquid contained in the dosing chamber 5 to be expelled through the valve 23 to 29 and the line 21 and the cannula 22.
The solid part of the wall of the dosing chamber 5 is provided with grooves 5b running radially towards the liquid discharge opening 5a, which prevent the inflated cushion membrane liquid from entering the liquid when the liquid is discharged from the dosing chamber the dosing chamber is retained.
If a further dose of liquid is to be filled, the liquid discharge valve 23 to 29 and the gas supply valve 33 are closed again. When Versellvellhen the lever arm 27 of the valve 23 to 29 ver, a movement component of the Iiolle 29 runs opposite to the flow direction of the liquid. This has the consequence that a suction effect arises in the rubber hose piece 23, as a result of which the drop 36 hanging at the end of the cannula 22 after filling is drawn back into the cannula.
After closing the valves 23 to 29 and 33, the valves 17 and 35 are opened, a further quantity of liquid being pressed into the metering chamber 5 by the pressurized gas in the reservoir 19. Here, the cushion membrane 3a, 3b is pressed together by the inflowing liquid and the air in the membrane is blown off via the valve 35. The gauze film 6 prevents gas from remaining in the cushion membrane when it is pressed together.
When the piston 8 is not adjusted, the device described above enables liquid to be ejected from the dosing chamber of the same volume. If the liquid dose is to be changed, for example increased, the piston 8 in the cylinder 7 is screwed up by turning the cap 11. As a result, the cushioning liquid 16 retreats further into the interior of the cylinder 7 when the filling liquid flows into the dosing chamber, so that a larger amount of liquid can flow into the dosing chamber. The respective volume of the dosing chamber 5 can be read off the measuring scale 12 of the cylinder.
It is possible to connect several liquid discharge lines 21 and filling cannulas 22 to a single metering chamber. In order for all filling cannulas to deliver the same amount of liquid, it is necessary that all filling lines have the same dimensions and offer the same flow resistance to the liquid flowing through.
It is expedient to couple the valves 17 and 35 to one another in such a way that they can be operated simultaneously by a single lever. The same applies to the valves 23 to 29 and 33. It is also possible, please include to operate all four valves by a single ilebel, in such a way that the valves 23 to 29 and 33 are initially closed in one pivoting direction of the lever - close and close the valves 17 and 35 are opened. When the lever is pivoted in the other direction, the valves 17 and 35 are initially closed and when the lever is pivoted further in the same direction, the valves 23 to 29 and 33 are opened.
