Filter insert for ventilation systems, in particular for paint spray booths.
There are filter inserts for insertion in the ventilation and venting of ventilation systems, e.g. of paint spray booths, known which have a frame on the U or other profile iron, in 7sel- formerly the filter material held between perforated sheet metal, grids or the like is. These filter inserts have the disadvantage that their cleaning requires considerable work, because the solid and liquid particles that have separated out are not only stuck in the filter material, but also mainly in the corners of the frame that are difficult to access. I) This drawback is remedied by the present invention.
The present invention relates to a filter insert for ventilation systems, in particular for paint spraying booths, which has a flat cage made of steel wire, which has an opening on the periphery and is sent with fibrous filter material.
The filter material has been stuffed through the opening into the cage to the steel wire in a quantity sufficient for the intended use and can be completely removed from this if necessary. If combustible filter material, e.g. B. wood wool is used, it can be burned in the cage itself after removing the filter insert from the ventilation or vent connection, with no residues remaining in the container because there are no hard-to-reach corners and angles. If combustible components are excreted through the filter insert, especially when used in venting nozzles of paint spray booths, it is also possible, if non-combustible filter material, e.g. B.
Steel wool is used, cleaning can be carried out properly and reliably by lighting the contaminated filter element.
In the drawing, an exemplary embodiment of the subject matter of the invention is shown diagrammatically.
The cage a has the shape of an upright, flat prism, i.e. a prism whose depth is smaller than the height and width.
One of his Sehmal pages is open. b is the fibrous filter material stuffed into this cage c.
The cage a is made of steel wire. To produce this cage n, a section of a steel wire mesh is advantageously used, which is folded up like to produce a box, whereupon the ends of its steel wires are welded together at the abutting edges. The cage a does not have to be completely open on one of its visible sides, but it can be advantageous under single stands if it is only partially open on this narrow side. The steel wire can have any profile.
The surfaces of the cage a, through which the medium to be cleaned enters and exits, are square. However, they could also be rectangular or circular, depending on the cross-sectional shape of the nozzle in which the filter insert is to be inserted. The thickness of the filter insert, that is to say the distance between its surfaces through which the medium to be cleaned enters and exits, depends on the intended use.
The type of filter material also depends on the intended use. In principle, any fibrous material, but especially llolzwolle, steel roll or mineral fibers, such as. B. Asbestos, are used for this.
