Method for washing and drying dishes, cutlery, glasses, cans, chocolate molds and the like, and device for carrying out the method. The present invention relates to a method for washing and drying dishes, cutlery, glasses, cans, chocolate molds and the like, and to a device for performing the method.
The method according to the invention is characterized in that, after passing through several hot water spray nozzles, the laundry is fed to a spray device fed with distilled hot water and then dried in a stream of hot air.
In order to be able to dry the items to be washed ma schinell, they are washed with distilled water after cleaning with ordinary water.
There is a fundamental difference between drying the laundry by hand, i.e. using towels, in which process the water is sucked up by the towels, and machine drying, in which the liquid is evaporated by means of hot air. When drying with hot air, only the evaporable parts can be removed, while the solid substances such as lime, salts, etc. remain on the laundry and form unsightly stains there. Before starting hot drying, it is therefore essential that the items to be washed are completely freed from normal water. According to the invention, this takes place in that washing water still adhering to the laundry is rinsed away by means of distilled water.
The drops adhering to the laundry after this procedure consist of distilled water and can be completely evaporated; As a result, they leave no residue on the laundry; this leaves the machine dry and shiny.
A device is used to carry out the process according to the invention, which is characterized by a tunnel with a conveyor track arranged in its interior for the transport of the items to be washed, as well as by spray nozzle units arranged at intervals from one another inside the tunnel, where under each of these units a collecting container for the spray water is arranged, which is connected to the nozzle unit via a filter, a circulating pump and a pipeline, so that the spray water that runs off well from the washing can be fed in the circuit like that of the associated nozzle unit, with the individual collection containers for the spray water are connected to each other in such a way that
that their water level comes to lie deeper towards the beginning of the conveyor track from container to container. The device according to the invention is further characterized in that a conduit for the inflow of distilled water opens into the last collecting container with respect to the direction of movement of the conveyor track, and that with respect to the direction of movement of the conveyor track behind the one fed with distilled water Nozzles sen an air nozzle unit is arranged, which is connected to a hot air source.
The drawing shows an example of an embodiment of a device for executing the method according to the invention, namely Fig. 1 shows the device in longitudinal section in a schematic representation, Fig. 2 shows a side view of the device on a smaller scale, Fig. 3 shows the device in a top view , Fig. 4 is a side view of the device from the side of the conveyor belt end see ge,
Fig. 5 is a section along the line V-V in Fig. 6 and Fig. 6 is a plan view of a basket for receiving and transporting the laundry during the washing and drying process.
In the example shown, 1 denotes a horizontal tunnel with a square cross section, for example made of rust-proof sheet metal or sheet iron which is provided with a rust protection coating. Inside the tunnel from a distance parallel to each other endless conveyor belts existing conveyor track 2 is angeord net, which runs on the outside of the tunnel ends to orderly reversing rollers 3 and 4.
At the two ends of the tunnel as well as in the interior of the tunnel, there are transverse walls 5 to 11, by means of which the tunnel is divided into individual chambers 12 to 17. Each transverse wall is provided with a passage opening 18 for the conveyor track 2 and the baskets 19 containing the items to be washed.
In the chambers 12 to 15 each one consisting of two nozzle tubes spray nozzle assembly 20 to 23 is arranged. One nozzle tube of each unit is above and the other nozzle tube is below the path of the items to be washed or the upper run 2 of the conveyor track. The upper nozzle pipes are on the underside, and the lower nozzle pipes on the upper side with nozzle openings. A collecting container 24 to 27 is arranged under each of the nozzle assemblies.
These collecting containers are formed by the Bo the tunnel 1, as well as by parts of the tunnel side walls and the transverse walls 5 to 9. From each collecting container, a pipe socket 28 arranged in the container bottom leads to a filter 29, which through a white pipe section 30 with the suction side one Centrifugal pump 31 is connected,
from the pressure side of which another pipeline 32 leads to the associated spray nozzle assembly. In the transverse walls 6 to 8 openings 33 are made, namely at different distances from the floor of the tunnel, such that the water level N in the individual collecting containers towards the beginning of the conveyor track or the reversing roller 4 from container to container comes to lie deeper, as can be seen from FIG. The level in the collecting container 24 is determined by the drain pipe 34 from the dirty washing water.
In the direction of the direction of movement of the conveyor track 2 last Auffangbehäl ter 27 opens a pipe 35 for the supply of distilled water, while in the with respect to the direction of movement of the conveyor track in front of the container fed with distilled water, one of Auffangbehäl ter 26 a hot water boiler coming fresh water line 36 opens. A regulating valve 37 enables the desired dosage of the fresh water supply to the container 26.
An electrical heating device 38 with a thermostatic control device is attached to each pipe 32 in order to keep the water temperature in each container 24 to 27 at a certain level. This regulation is made so that the water temperature drops from container to container towards the beginning of the conveyor track or towards the first container 24.
For example, it has proven useful to keep the temperature of the distilled water in the container 27 at 80 C, the fresh water in the container 26 at 70 C, the water in the container 25 at 60 C and the water in the container 24 to 50 C. The chamber 12 is used for the so-called. Before washing, the chamber 13 for the final wash, the chamber 14 for the pre-wash and the chamber 15 for the final rinsing of the items to be washed.
In relation to the direction of movement of the conveyor path of the finished wash chamber 15 following chamber 16, a hot air nozzle unit 39 is arranged. 40 is a nozzle opening out of the chamber 16 for the extraction of the moist air.
At 41, an electric boiler is marked, from which a pipe 42 leads to a condenser. 43 is the cooling coil and 44 is the cooling space of the condenser. The line for the distilled water which opens into the chamber 15 is connected to the cooling coil 43.
With 45 a @ fresh air blower is designated net, the pressure side of which is connected to the cooling chamber 44 of the condenser via the chamber 17, the latter also being connected to the hot air nozzle unit 39 via a connector 46. 47 is a feed line leading from a boiler to the steam boiler 41.
The water flowing in through the feed line 47 is evaporated in the boiler 41. Through the line 42, the steam flows into the cooling coils 43 of the condenser, where it is cooled by flowing fresh air from the cooling chamber 44 of the condenser and condensed. The condensate flows in the form of distilled water via the line 35 to the container 27. By absorbing the heat of condensation of the steam, the air driven through the condenser space 44 is strongly heated and flows at a temperature of about 70 ° C. from the hot air nozzles 39 into the drying chamber 16.
At the beginning and at the end of the conveyor track, a table 48 and 49 is arranged, the table top of which is at the level of the upper run of the conveyor track 2.
As can be seen from FIG. 5, the items to be washed, in the example shown are chocolate molds 50, are placed in baskets 19. By cross bars 51 the For men 50 are held in a certain inclined position relative to the vertical. The shapes rest with their lower edges on a sieve-like bottom 52 of the basket, for example made of wire mesh, which allows unhindered access of water and dry air to the items to be washed from the underside as well.
The baskets 19 filled with the molds 50 are first lifted onto the table 48 and pushed from here onto the upper run of the conveyor track, from which they are now automatically taken along and through the tunnel. be transported. On the way through the tunnel, the molds 50 are first pre-washed between the nozzles 20 and then ge long to the nozzles 21, where they are finished washing. From here the molds get between the rinsing nozzles 22. Here the last impurities and the previously used washing water that is still clinging to the molds and is no longer completely pure are rinsed off.
The baskets with the molds now wander on to the nozzles 23, which are fed with distilled water. This has the task of rinsing away the drops of rinse water still adhering to the items to be washed. Finally, the molds get into the drying space 16 between the nozzles 39, where they are blown with hot air, the adhering distillation water droplets being blown away or evaporated without leaving any residue on the molds. This evaporation process is favored by the rather large inherent heat that the laundry has absorbed in the previous washing and rinsing processes. The finished washed and dried laundry finally arrives on the table 49, from where the baskets are removed.
The container 26 is continuously supplied with fresh water while the machine is in operation. The excess water flows into the container 25 with the lower water level. From here, the excess water flows into the container 24 with the even lower level and finally from there into the overflow 34. Of course, the fat floating on top also takes this path, so that the washing water can always be kept fairly free of fat. As can be seen from the preceding explanations, the water flows in the containers in the opposite direction to the movement of the conveyor track.
The device described guarantees an excellent heat utilization by generating both distilled water and hot dry air with the heat expended in the boiler 41. The extensive use and economical use of the washing water is also of great importance, as this can be used three to four times by gradually moving from basin 27 with the highest water level to the other basins with the lower water levels and up to is used for extensive pollution.
It is of course also possible to heat the boiler 41 in other ways than electrically. Where steam is available as waste from steam engines or steam heaters, the boiler 41 can be dispensed with at all.
The filters 29 are designed so that they can be easily removed and cleaned. They are used to collect solid residues from the rinsing and washing water so that, on the one hand, the water and the machine are less polluted and, on the other hand, no solid objects can get into the nozzles and clog them. For this purpose, the mesh size of the filter is slightly smaller than the diameter of the spray nozzles.
