Le dispositif représenté fonctionne comme suit: Le levier 3 étant armé, c'est-à-dire le res sort 35 étant tendu, la buttée 7 et le bras 6 immobilisés par le levier de verrouillage 9, une impulsion initiale est donnée dans le sens de la flèche 29 au balancier 1, la goupille 12 de celui-ci fait pivoter le levier 9 autour de son axe 30, ce qui libère la buttée 7 et le bras 6, le levier moteur 3 peut alors, sous l'action du ressort 35, pivoter autour de son axe 4, l'une de ses extrémités donnant un choc ou une impulsion à la cheville 5 que porte le balancier 1; le levier de verrouillage 9, après avoir libéré, sous l'action de la gou pille 12, la buttée 7, est ramené à sa position initiale par le ressort 39;
Device for maintaining the oscillations of the balance of a timepiece, so as to obtain a constant amplitude of its movements. The present invention relates to a device for maintaining the oscillations of the balance of a timepiece, so as to obtain a constant amplitude of the movements of the latter, comprising a motor lever adapted to pivot and actuated by a reset spring. each time, one of the ends of this motor lever giving, at each complete oscillation of the balance, an impulse of constant value to the latter, which carries a pin intended to move a locking lever and thus to unlock said motor lever, means being spared to charge the spring of the latter,
ca ractérisé by the fact that the locking lever comprises a pivot hole whose diameter is greater than that of the corresponding pivot, so as to provide a clearance allowing a translational movement called lever relative to the pivot, so that , when the balance moves in a given direction, a profiled pin with which it is fitted actuates the locking lever and this pin pushes the latter back and escapes it, when the balance moves in the opposite direction, means being provided to bring back cons tely, this locking lever in the field of said pin.
The accompanying drawing shows, by way of example, an embodiment of the device which is the subject of the invention.
Fig. 1 is a schematic plan view thereof, and FIG. 2 is a view of a construction detail.
The device shown comprises a lancet bay 1 of a timepiece, pivoted on a plate 2.
The balance 1 comprises a pin 5, intended to receive, at regular intervals, an impulse from a motor lever 3, pivoted on an axis 4 electrically. isolated from the mass and fixed to the plate 2. For this purpose, the motor lever 3 is actuated by a spring 35 electrically isolated from the mass and has an arm 6 provided with a stop 7, against which it engages the end 8 of an angled locking lever 9.
The spring 35 of the motor lever 3 is armed by means of an arm 15 integral with an axis 1.6, to which is also fixed a second arm 17, carrying an armature 18 intended to be attracted by an electromagnet 19, when that -ci is excited by soot battery 26.
The other end 10 of the angled rusting worm lever 9 is intended to be driven by a pin 12 carried by the balance 1, this pin having bevel 38 at its end; the lever 9 comprises, phis, a pivot hole 36, the diameter of which is greater than that of the corresponding pivot 30; the clearance 37 produced in this way allows the lever 9 to perform a translation relative to the pivot 30, when it is pressed from left to right by the pin 12; for this purpose, the aforementioned end 10 comprises a rod 39 against which is intended to press and slide the bevel 38 of the pin 12.
A spring 39, the action of which is limited by a stop 14 and by the pivot 30, constantly presses the lever 9, so as to bring it, on the one hand, into engagement with the stop 7 when it has been rotatably actuated by pin 12 to unlock lever 3 and, on the other hand, to bring end 10 into the. field of pin 12, after lever 9 has been pushed back by the latter.
The device shown operates as follows: The lever 3 being cocked, that is to say the res out 35 being stretched, the stop 7 and the arm 6 immobilized by the locking lever 9, an initial impulse is given in the direction from the boom 29 to the balance 1, the pin 12 thereof causes the lever 9 to pivot around its axis 30, which frees the stop 7 and the arm 6, the motor lever 3 can then, under the action of the spring 35, pivot around its axis 4, one of its ends giving a shock or an impulse to the ankle 5 which the balance 1 carries; the locking lever 9, after having released, under the action of the pin 12, the stop 7, is returned to its initial position by the spring 39;
in addition, the pin 12, after having passed to the other side of the end 10, when the balance is moving in the direction of the arrow 29, comes to press when it moves in the opposite direction, by its bevel 38, bevel 39 of lever 9, so as to push it back and escape it; the end 10 is then brought back into the field of the pin 12, due to the pressure exerted by the spring 39 on the lever 9 and thanks to the clearance 37 existing between the pivot hole 36 of the latter and the pivot 30 .
Provision is made, in an alternative embodiment, to fix the pin 12 on one of the faces of the balance 1.
