Dispositif pour couper des végétaux. Cette invention se rapporte à un dispositif pour couper des végétaux. L'objet de l'inven tion est un dispositif destiné à l'usage domes tique, notamment pour couper les pommes -de terre en baguettes de section transversale ap propriée pour la friture. Le dispositif selon cette invention peut être employé également pour couper d'autres végétaux et, le cas échéant, il peut être combiné avec un dispo sitif pour enlever le coeur des pommes.
Ce dispositif comporte une tige en forme générale de canal, une poignée fixée à l'une des extrémités de ladite tige et un élément présentant au moins un tranchant, fixé à l'extrémité opposée de ladite tige, dans un plan perpendiculaire à ladite tige et reliant les ailes de cette dernière, il est caractérisé en ce que ledit élément présente un tranchant faisant face à la poignée.
Lors de l'emploi du dispositif pour couper une pomme de terre en baguettes, le dispositif est tenu par la poignée dans une main et la pomme de terre est placée sur la tige entre la poignée et l'élément tranchant. Le dispo sitif est alors tiré le long de la pomme de terre, dans laquelle il creuse une gorge en enlevant un élément en forme de baguette. L'élément tranchant est ensuite placé en re gard d'un côté de la gorge qui a été décou pée et l'opération est répétée jusqu'à ce que toute la pomme de, terre ait été coupée en baguettes.
Le dessin représente, .à titre d'exemple, une forme- d'exécution du dispositif selon l'invention. La fig. 1 est une vue de face du dispo sitif.

Une .bande en métal approprié<B>1,</B> par exempta en acier inoxydable, est formée à la presse en .forme de cornière régulière à profil en forme de<B>L</B> à l'exception d'une partie 2 de son extrémité qui présente une section transversale incurvée ou -en arc de cercle. La poignée 3 est constituée par un cylindre de bois, de matière plastique ou d'une autre ma tière, et la tige est fixée à ladite poignée au moyen d'une ligature 4 fixant la partie 2 de l'a tige sur ladite poignée.
De préférence, environ la moitié de la poignée est d'un dia mètre réduit et comporte une tête en forme de bouton 5 ià son extrémité, ladite tête étant coupée pour permettre à la partie circulaire de la tige de s'adapter étroitement contre la partie réduite de la poignée.
L'élément tranchant consiste en une pièce formée d'une bande de métal d'une largeur appropriée, soit de 6 à 12 mm, qui est pliée pour former comme un anneau carré ou rec- tangulaire. Les côtés du carré ou. du rectan gle ont approximativement une longueur pra tiquement égale à la largeur de -l'un des côtés de la cornière;
de manière que ledit élément tranchant puisse,être fixé à l'extrémité de la tige opposée au manche, et former avec l'extrémité de la tige une ouverture carrée ou rectangulaire, deux côtés voisins 6a de l'élé ment tranchant, côtés pliés en forme de<B>L,</B> reliant les deux ailes de la tige. Les bords 8, au moins., -de ces côtés qui font face à l'a poignée sont aiguisés;
pour la commodité de la fabrication, les quatre bords faisant face à la poignée peuvent être chanfreinés comme indiqué. L'élément tranchant est fixé sur la tige par soudure des côtés dudit élément tranchant sur les faces extérieures. de la tige avec lesquelles ils sont contigus.
Le dispositif est utilisé comme mentionné ci-dessus, c'est-à-dire que la pomme de terre est placée sur- la tige entre le manche et l'élément tranchant et que le manche est tiré par rapport à la pomme de terre, de manière que les bords aiguisés 8 du tranchant pénè trent dans la pomme de terre.
Les quatre bords 9 de l'élément tranchant, ,à l'extrémité frontale du dispositif et l'extrémité frontale de la tige 1 en 9a, peuvent être aiguisés; ainsi le dispositif peut ,être utilisé aussi pour enlever le coeur des pommes et pour découper en- forme de dés ou couper .d'autres racines végétales.

A suitable metal strip <B> 1, </B> by exempta of stainless steel, is press-formed into a regular angle iron with <B> L </B> profile except 'a part 2 of its end which has a curved cross section or -in an arc of a circle. The handle 3 is formed by a cylinder of wood, plastic or another material, and the rod is fixed to said handle by means of a ligature 4 fixing part 2 of the rod on said handle.
