Machine for washing and drying dishes. The present invention relates to a machine intended for washing and drying dishes with a lockable washing container in which an air shower connected to a motor-driven air blower and above this a hydraulically raised and lowered crockery basket are provided.
The distinguishing feature of this machine is that it has three air lines, one of which leads from the suction side of the blower to the outside air, the second on the one hand with the suction side of the blower and on the other hand in connection with the upper air space of the washing container and the third, on the one hand with this air space and on the other hand with the outside air, and that furthermore a manually operated air reversing device is interposed in these three lines,
which connects the suction side of the blower with the washing container in a first working position, connects the suction side with the outside air in a second and closes the line to the washing container, in a third working position connects the suction side and the washing container with the outside air and in one Rest position closes all lines.
On the accompanying drawing, an embodiment of the subject invention has been illustrated. Fig. 1 shows the machine in side view and Fig. 2 is a diagram of this machine. The machine according to Fig. 1 and 2 has a washing container 1 with a hinged lid 2. Below in this container is a by means of an air supply line 3 in connection with a motor-driven air blower 4 standing air shower 5 is provided, over which a dashed lines only indicated in ge, for Recording of the dishes to be washed is located in the nender crockery basket 6, which can be raised and lowered hydraulically.
The hy draulic device provided for this purpose has a vertically arranged pressure cylinder 7 in which a piston 7a slides which is provided with a long piston rod 7b carrying the crockery basket 6 at its upper end. Two pressurized water lines 8 and 9, one of which opens into the cylinder 7 at the top and the other at the bottom, can optionally be connected to a line 11, which is branched off from the cold water feed line 12, by means of a multi-way tap 10.
A water supply line 13 and a loop-forming drain pipe 14 are connected to the bottom of the container 1. The water supply line 13 can be connected to the cold water supply line 12 or to a hot water supply line 16 using a two-way tap 15.
la is a provided under the container 1 drip tray, from which one in the descending leg of the drain pipe 14 mün Dende line 1b goes off. 17 is the suction line of the fan 4, 18 is a line that communicates on the one hand with the suction side of the fan 4 and on the other hand with the upper air space in the container 1, and 19 is a line that connects this air space with the atmosphere.
In these three lines 17, 18 and 19 an air reversing element is interposed, which has a control disk 21 rotatable by means of a hand lever 20, which is provided with passage openings at certain points and, depending on its position, the flow through all three lines or only through interrupts certain of them. These different layers are labeled A, W, E and T .
A matching position designation is also provided for the hand lever 20. On the shaft provided between the latter and the disk 21 there is a control disk 22, thanks to which a switch 28 provided in the circuit of the fan drive motor 4a is held in the closed position against the action of a spring when the hand lever is set to W, E or T is set.
The operation of the machine described above is as follows: With the lid 2 open, the crockery basket 6 is lifted by letting pressurized water from 12 through 11 and 9 into the cylinder below by means of the tap 10.
After the dishes to be washed have been placed in the basket, the latter is lowered again by turning the tap 10: the pressurized water flows from 12 through 11 and 8 into the upper part of the cylinder 7, while the latter is emptied through 9 and 1b. The lid 2 is now closed and locked, whereupon hot water from 16 to 15 and 13 is let into the container 1, up to a height that is determined by the highest point of the drain pipe 14.
The rest of the washing process takes place in such a way that hot air under a pressure of approx. 800 mm water column is passed through the air shower 5 and into the warm water in the washing container. For this purpose, the control disk 21 of the air reversing device is set to W (= washing).
At the same time, the switch 23 is closed, so that the motor 4a begins to drive the air blower 4. In this position of the disk 2.1, the two lines 17 and 19 are blocked and only the line 18 is open.
There is a closed air circuit via 18, 4 and 3, the air being heated as it exits the air blower 4 by an electrical heating device which was switched on at the same time as the motor 4a.
Through the entry of air, which is distributed through the shower 5, eddies and vortices are generated, which within a few minutes.
Dirty dishes are cleaned. As the next operation, container 1 is emptied again. For this purpose, the disk 21 is set to E (= empty). The fan 4 continues to work, but the line 17 is now open, while the two lines 18 and 19 are shut off.
The air fed through line 0 'to container 2 collects in the upper part of the same and, depending on the pressure increase, displaces the water through pressure from above through the drain pipe 14 until container 1 is completely emptied.
If necessary, the container could be emptied. 1 can also be carried out without the use of compressed air if, as indicated in FIG. 2, a drain cock 14a is provided. As the last operation, the dishes are: dried, for which the pane is set to T (= drying).
The two lines 17 and 19 are opened and only line 18 is blocked. Accordingly, air is now circulated in that fresh air is sucked in through line 17, fed in a heated state through line 3 to container 1 and discharged again through line 19 from the latter.
On its way through the container 1, the heated air brushes the dishes, which are then dried. Then it can be removed from the container 1 again.
In order to be able to heat the water in the container 1 itself if necessary, an electrical heating device 4 is installed in the latter, which is automatically switched on and off by an adjustable thermoregulator 25. In the circuit. a manual switch 26 is provided for this heater, as well as a signal lamp 27, which lights when the heater is switched on.
In I \ ig. 1 shows the structural design of the machine and the arrangement of the taps 10 and 1.5 and of the air reversing device (21).
