Drill-boring machine. The present invention relates to a drill-boring machine.
This is characterized by the fact that, being transportable, it carries its own motor and has, in a plane perpendicular to the axis of its spindle, a frame provided with means to allow its attachment to an element to be worked.
The attached drawing shows one embodiment of the object of the invention, given by way of example.
Fig. 1 is an elevational view thereof, partially in axial section.
Fig. 2 is a corresponding plan view.
The drill-boring machine shown consists of a frame 1, in which the barrel 2 slides, carrying the spindle 3, which is rotatably dependent on the toothed wheel 4.
A speed variator is attached to the frame. 5, from which is suspended the motor 6. The flywheel 7 controls the variator. the drive shaft of which carries the toothed wheel 8. A two-gear harness 9 establishes the connection between the toothed wheels 8 and 4.
The protective casing 10 of the gears described., As well as the corresponding toothed wheels are missing in FIG. 2.
A toothed wheel 11. not yet mentioned, by grinding with the wheel 4, serves: to drive the worm 12 which, meshing with the, helical wheel 13, causes the automatic advance of the barrel 2 of the spindle 3. I. 1 is also possible to operate this advance by hand, from the handwheel 14.
In a plane perpendicular to the axis of the spindle and surrounding this axis is a frame 15, the periphery of which is pierced with a series of holes 16. Four feet 17 connecting this frame rigidly to the frame 1 by means of two slides 18 and 19, making it possible to center the spindle or to move it with the assembly of the frame and the motor, either laterally or transversely, that is to say in two directions perpendicular to each other. Two flywheels 20 -and 21, preferably with divided drum, possibly vernier, allow to operate the movements authorized by the .coulisses.
This described, it -is easy to realize that, in a tranepartable form, the described machine can, by the intermediary of its #dre 15 and the numerous holes 16, be fixed to a workpiece, thus allowing to proceed. on site to very exact drilling or boring operations.
Let us give as an example the dimensions that such a machine can reach, while remaining easily transportable: length 700 to 750 mm, width 450 to 500 mm, height approximately 650 mm, with a stroke of 50 mm of the transverse and lateral slides. , a 0.7 HP motor. and a speed at the drive shaft of the variator of approximately 300 to 1600 revolutions per minute.
The spindle will be of any type, for example intended for Morse taper no.2.
