I1 est maintenant usuel d'enfermer les pelotes de fil à coudre, ou d'autres produits textiles du même genre, dans des boîtes en carton léger, de forme correspondant à celle de ces pelotes, et qui sont percées sur une de leurs faces extrêmes d'une ouverture centraie permettant de dévider la pelote. Ces boîtes présentent divers inconvénients. En particulier, elles ne permettent pas de se rendre compte de l'état dans lequel se trouve la pelote en cours d'usage. On a bien déjà proposé de ménager sur les boîtes en carton un ajourage laissant voir la pelote, mais, outre que cet ajourage ne donne qu'une visibilité très imparfaitej il expose directement la pelote de fil aux poussières et aux contacts susceptibles de la salir.
La présente invention comprend une boîte pour pelote de fil à coudre ou produit textile analogue, de forme générale cylindrique, dont l'une des faces extrêmes est percée pour donner passage au fil. Cette boîte tend à éliminer les inconvénients cités par le fait que l'une au moins de ses faces extrêmes est en une matière plastique transparente.
L'invention comprend également un procédé de fabrication de la boîte pour pelote décrite ci-dessus, cette boîte étant formée de deux demi-coquilles réunies bord bord par une bande de papier collée sur leur pourtour.
Ce procédé se distingue des procedés connus par le fait qu'on découpe tà l'emporte-pièce, avant assemblage des demi-coquilles, le fond de l'une au moins de ces dernières en laissant un bord de largeur suffisante et en ce qu'on remplace ledit fond par une plaque en une matière plastique transparente retenue par ledit bord.
Une forme d'exécution de la boîte que comprend l'invention est représentée, à titre d'exemple, au dessin ci-annexé.
Fig. 1 est une vue en coupe axiale verticale de ladite boîte, pour pelote de fil à coudre.
Fig. 2 est une vue en plan de cette boîte.
La boîte en carton représentée est formée de la manière habituelle par deux-demicoquilles al et a réunies bord à bord par une bande de papier b collée sur leur pourtour.
Les deux faces opposées de cette boîte sont découpées à l'emporte-pièce et remplacées par deux rondelles de matière cellulosique transparentes ci, c2 retenues respectivement par des bords dl, d de la boîte. La rondelle supérieure cl est percée en son centre d'un trou e qui livre passage au fil de la pelote f logée là l'intérieur de la boîte, l'extrémité f' de ce fil pouvant être collée sous la bande de papier b.
Pratiquement, la ou les faces transparentes de la boîte peuvent être constituées par de simples rondelles de matière cellulosique ou analogue, venant remplacer les faces extrêmes de la boîte en carton, préalablement dé coupées à l'emporte-pièce, ces rondelles étant maintenues par des bords de largeur convenable ménagés sur le pourtour des ouvertures ainsi pratiquées.
Dans une variante de la boîte décrite cidessus, une seule de ses faces opposées peut être constituée en une matière transparente.
La matière transparente peut être par exemple à base d'escher cellulosique, de préférence ininflammable. Dans ces conditions, tout en étant parfaitement protégée contre les poussières et autre cause de salissure, la pelote enfermée dans la boîte est parfaitement visible. Ainsi, il est aisé de constater si cette pelote est entamée et à quel degré d'épuisement elle est parvenue.
De plus, dans le cas où les faces sont en matière cellulosique, celles-ci offrent une resistance mécanique beaucoup plus grande que des faces en carton mince ajouré par exemple, sans toutefois être susceptibles d'abîmer le fil à son passage par l'ouverture servant au dévidage du fil.

The present invention comprises a box for a ball of sewing thread or similar textile product, of generally cylindrical shape, one of the end faces of which is pierced to give passage to the thread. This box tends to eliminate the drawbacks cited by the fact that at least one of its end faces is made of transparent plastic.
The invention also comprises a method of manufacturing the ball box described above, this box being formed of two half-shells joined together edge edge by a strip of paper glued around their periphery.
This process differs from known processes by the fact that the bottom of at least one of the latter is cut out before assembly of the half-shells, leaving an edge of sufficient width and in that 'said bottom is replaced by a plate of transparent plastic material retained by said edge.
One embodiment of the box which the invention comprises is shown, by way of example, in the accompanying drawing.

The cardboard box shown is formed in the usual manner by two half-shells al and a joined edge to edge by a strip of paper b glued around their periphery.
The two opposite faces of this box are cut out with a punch and replaced by two washers of transparent cellulosic material ci, c2 respectively retained by edges dl, d of the box. The upper washer cl is pierced in its center with a hole e which gives passage to the wire of the ball f housed there inside the box, the end f 'of this wire being able to be glued under the strip of paper b.
In practice, the transparent face (s) of the box may consist of simple washers of cellulosic material or the like, replacing the end faces of the cardboard box, previously cut with a punch, these washers being held by edges of suitable width formed around the periphery of the openings thus formed.
In a variant of the box described above, only one of its opposite faces may be made of a transparent material.
The transparent material may for example be based on cellulose escher, preferably non-flammable. Under these conditions, while being perfectly protected against dust and other causes of soiling, the ball enclosed in the box is perfectly visible. Thus, it is easy to see if this ball is started and to what degree of exhaustion it has reached.
In addition, in the case where the faces are made of cellulosic material, these offer a much greater mechanical resistance than faces made of perforated thin cardboard for example, without however being liable to damage the wire as it passes through the opening. used for unwinding the wire.
