Jeu de quilles à prépayement. La présente invention a pour objet un jeu de quilles à prépayement comportant au moins une bille destinée à abattre les quilles, caractérisé par le fait qu'il comprend un boîtier dans lequel sont fixées une plate-forme sur laquelle sont disposées les quilles, et une piste reliant celle-ci à un dispositif destiné.
à projeter ladite bille, un dispositif compor tant un appareil de verrouillage, servant à maintenir la bille hors. de jeu et agencé de façon que l'introduction d'une pièce de mon naie dans ledit appareil permette la remise en jeu de la bille, et un dispositif permettant de relever les quilles lorsqu'elles ont été abattues.
Le dessin montre, à titre d'exemple, une forme d'exécution du jeu de quilles objet de l'invention.

Le jeu de quilles à, prépayement repré senté comprend un boîtier 1, à l'intérieur du quel est fixée une plate-forme en bois 2, destinée à supporter des quilles 3; ces der nières sont attachées. au moyen de cordes 4 à -des contrepoids 5, que porte un plateau 6; celui-ci est suspendu au moyen de quatre ressorts 7 â la face inférieure de la plate- forme 2, qui est reliée par une piste 8 à un dispositif 9 destiné à projeter successivement des billes 10 ' contre les quilles 3.
Ce dispo- sitif 9 est constitué par un pistolet à ressort fixé à l'extrémité de la piste et faisant sail lie à l'extérieur au travers de la paroi 11 du boîtier 1.
Au fond 12 du boîtier 1 est adaptée une poulie 13 autour de laquelle passe un câble 14, dont l'une des extrémités est fixée au plateau 6 et dont l'autre extrémité est atta chée à un levier de manaeuvre 15; ce dernier, monté sur un pivot 16 que porte une ferrure vissée au fond 12, fait saillie à l'extérieur du boîtier par une ouverture pratiquée dans la paroi 11.
Autour de la plate-forme 2 est fixé un plancher 17 incliné vers l'un de ses angles où ,est ménagé un trou 18, vers lequel roule for cément une bille 10 après qu'elle a été pro jetée par le pistolet 9. Ce trou 18 dommuni- que, par l'intermédiaire d'un conduit 19, avec un distributeur 20; à cet effet, le fond 21 du conduit 19 est incliné et aboutit à une ouverture 22 de celui-ci.
Le distributeur 20 comprend un carter 23 à l'intérieur duquel est disposé un ensemble de quatre palettes 24 fixées en croix à un arbre de commande 25 traversant ledit carter 23 et prolongé ià travers la paroi 11 du boîtier. A son extrémité extérieure, l'arbre 25 est muni d'une poignée de manoeuvre 26 permettant. de le déplacer rotativement ainsi que les palettes 24 qui forment quatre cases venant se placer, lors, de la rotation de l'ar bre 25,
successivement avec une extrémité en regard de l'ouverture 22 et dans lesquelles s'engagént sueeéssivement les billes 10. L'ar bre 25 est inclins, afin, que les cases formées par les palettes soient - inclinées à partir de l'ouverture 22, de manière qu'une bille 10 sortant de cette ouverture roule dans la case par son propre poids en direction de la paroi 27 du. carter 23.
A l'arbre 25 est clavetée une roue 28 cons tituée par deux flasques entre lesquels est ménagé un évidement 29 destiné à recevoir une pièce de monnaie 30, laquelle, une fois en place dans l'évidement 29, sert à soulever un cliquet 31 articulé à une des parois du boîtier 1. Ce cliquet 31 coopère avec un ta quet 32 de la périphérie de la roue 28, pour immobiliser dans un sens cette roue ainsi que l'arbre 25 et les palettes 24.
La pièce de monnaie 30 est introduite dans l'évidement 29 'au moyen d'un conduit 33 figé au boîtier 1, et débouchant, d'une part, à l'extérieur de celui-ci et, d'autre part, au-dessus de la roue 28.
Cette dernière est freinée au moyen d'une plaque métallique 34, dont l'une des extré- mités. est articulée au fond 12; cette plaque 34 est pressée contre la roue 28 par un res sort 35, et son extrémité 36 constitue un butoir pour la pièce de monnaie provenant du conduit 33, de façon à la diriger dans l'évidement 29 de la roue 28.
Latéralement, le long du carter 23, est disposé .un couloir 37, aboutissant à un ori fice 38; ménagé dans la paroi d'un conduit vertical 39, dans lequel se déplace un pous soir 40 actionné par l'une des extrémités .41 d'un levier coudé 42 tournant sur un pivot 43 fixé à l'une des parois du boîtier 1.
Ce levier 42 est articulé par son autre extrémité avec une tringle 44 permettant de le déplacer et d'actionner le poussoir 40. A. cet effet, la tringle 44 traverse la paroi 11 du boîtier, de façon à pouvoir coulisser, et porte une poignée de manaëuvre 45.
Le couloir 37 reçoit les billes 10 prove nant des cases formées par les palettes 24 lorsqu'on fait tourner l'arbre 25; le fond du couloir 37 est incliné de manière que les billes qu'il contient se déplacent par leur propre poids vers l'ouverture 28 du conduit vertical 39.
Ce dernier débouche .à son extré- mité dans un couloir 46 disposé et incliné de façon qu'une bille 10 engagée dans ce couloir 46 atteigne le pistolet 9 en se déplaçant par son propre poids.
Un écran horizontal 47, disposé de cha que côté de la piste 8, assemble le plancher 17 à 1a parai 11 du boîtier.
Lorsque les quilles 3 ont été abattues au moyen d'une bille 10; on abaisse le plateau 6 en actionnant le levier 15. Les contrepoids 5 descendent avec le plateau 6 .et opèrent une traction sur les -cordes 4, ce qui fait relever les quilles. Lorsque le - levier 15 est aban donné à lui-même, les ressorts 7 font re monter le plateau 6 d'une hauteur suffisante pour que les cordes 4 ne soient plus tendues,
ceci afin que les quilles tombent facilement lorsqu'elles sont heurtées par une bille 10.
Le jeu de quilles à prépayement repré senté peut comporter une ou plusieurs billes; supposons qu'il en possède quatre, qu'elles soient dans le distributeur 20 entre deux pa lettes 24 de celui-ci, la roue 28 étant immo bilisée par le cliquet 31 butant contre le taquet 32; ledit jeu est alors utilisé comme suit:
Une pièce de monnaie 30 est introduite, par l'intermédiaire du conduit 33; dans l'évi dement 29 de la roue 28 et vient en regard du cliquet 31 qu'elle soulève lorsque l'arbre 25 est actionné rotativement à l'aide de la poignée 26; simultanément, les palettes 24 tournent en entraînant les quatre billes 10 qui tombent dans le couloir 37, puis, par l'orifice .38, roulent dans le conduit vertical 39 où elles sont disposées les unes sur les autres sui le poussoir 40;
ce dernier est alors déplacé vers le haut au moyen de la tringle 44, de façon que la bille supérieure débouche dans le couloir 46, et par celui-ci arrive -dans le tube du pistolet 9;
ce dernier est ensuite actionné de façon à projeter, sur la piste 8, ladite bille qui, après avoir atteint la plate forme 2 et abattu les quilles. 3, roule sur le plancher 17, pénètre par le trou 18 dans le conduit 19 et, par celui-ci, entre deux des palettes 24 du distributeur 2Q; les quilles qui peuvent avoir été abattues sont relevées en actionnant le levier 15, et une deuxième bille 1.0 étant amenée dans le couloir 46 à l'aide du poussoir 40, finit par rejoindre la pre mière dans le distributeur 20, où aboutissent également les deux autres billes;
l'arbre 25 est alors déplacé rotativement d'un quart de tour et les, billes sont remises en jeu.
L'arbre 25 et la roue 28 exécutent<B> </B>un tour avec les palettes 24, c'est-à-dire que les billes peuvent être remises en jeu quatre fois avant qu'il soit nécessaire d'introduire une nouvelle pièce de monnaie dans le conduit 33.
Chaque pièce de monnaie 30, introduite dans l'évidement 29 de la roue 28, tombe, après avoir soulevé le cliquet 31 et que la roue 28 a tourné suffisamment, dans un ré cipient non représenté disposé sur le fond 12.
La plaque 34 porte un butoir non repré senté destiné à se déplacer dans une gorge périphérique. de la roue 28 possédant des épaulements correspondants; ceux-ci étant destinés à empêcher la roue 28 de tourner en sens inverse de celui rendu possible par l'in troduction d'une pièce de monnaie dans l'évi dement 29 de ladite roue 28.
Ces épaulements permettent également à l'usager de repérer les déplacements an,gu- D laires de la roue 28 et par conséquent ceux des palettes 24.

The prepaid bowling game shown comprises a box 1, inside which is fixed a wooden platform 2, intended to support the bowling pins 3; these are attached. by means of cords 4 with counterweights 5, carried by a plate 6; this is suspended by means of four springs 7 from the underside of the platform 2, which is connected by a track 8 to a device 9 intended to successively project balls 10 'against the pins 3.
This device 9 is constituted by a spring pistol fixed to the end of the track and projecting to the outside through the wall 11 of the housing 1.
At the bottom 12 of the housing 1 is fitted a pulley 13 around which a cable 14 passes, one end of which is fixed to the plate 6 and the other end of which is attached to an operating lever 15; the latter, mounted on a pivot 16 carried by a fitting screwed to the bottom 12, protrudes outside the casing through an opening made in the wall 11.
Around the platform 2 is fixed a floor 17 inclined towards one of its angles where a hole 18 is made, towards which a ball 10 inevitably rolls after it has been thrown by the gun 9. This hole 18 communicates, via a conduit 19, with a distributor 20; for this purpose, the bottom 21 of the duct 19 is inclined and ends in an opening 22 of the latter.
The distributor 20 comprises a casing 23 inside which is disposed a set of four vanes 24 fixed in a cross to a control shaft 25 passing through said casing 23 and extended through the wall 11 of the casing. At its outer end, the shaft 25 is provided with an operating handle 26 allowing. to move it rotatably as well as the paddles 24 which form four boxes coming to be placed during the rotation of the shaft 25,
successively with one end facing the opening 22 and in which the balls 10 engage in sueeéssively. The shaft 25 is inclined, so that the boxes formed by the pallets are - inclined from the opening 22, so that a ball 10 exiting this opening rolls in the box by its own weight in the direction of the wall 27 of the. housing 23.
To the shaft 25 is keyed a wheel 28 consisting of two flanges between which is formed a recess 29 intended to receive a coin 30, which, once in place in the recess 29, serves to lift an articulated pawl 31. to one of the walls of the housing 1. This pawl 31 cooperates with a tab 32 of the periphery of the wheel 28, to immobilize this wheel in one direction as well as the shaft 25 and the vanes 24.
The coin 30 is introduced into the recess 29 'by means of a duct 33 fixed to the housing 1, and opening, on the one hand, to the outside of the latter and, on the other hand, to the- top of the wheel 28.
The latter is braked by means of a metal plate 34, one of the ends of which is. is hinged to the bottom 12; this plate 34 is pressed against the wheel 28 by a res out 35, and its end 36 constitutes a stopper for the coin coming from the duct 33, so as to direct it into the recess 29 of the wheel 28.
Laterally, along the housing 23, is arranged .a corridor 37, leading to an ori fice 38; formed in the wall of a vertical duct 39, in which a push button 40 moves, actuated by one of the ends .41 of an elbow lever 42 rotating on a pivot 43 fixed to one of the walls of the housing 1.
This lever 42 is articulated by its other end with a rod 44 allowing it to be moved and actuation of the pusher 40. To this end, the rod 44 passes through the wall 11 of the housing, so as to be able to slide, and carries a handle maneuver 45.
The corridor 37 receives the balls 10 coming from the boxes formed by the pallets 24 when the shaft 25 is rotated; the bottom of the passage 37 is inclined so that the balls it contains move by their own weight towards the opening 28 of the vertical duct 39.
The latter opens at its end into a passage 46 arranged and inclined so that a ball 10 engaged in this passage 46 reaches the gun 9 while moving by its own weight.
A horizontal screen 47, arranged on each side of track 8, assembles the floor 17 to the parai 11 of the box.
When the pins 3 have been knocked down by means of a ball 10; the plate 6 is lowered by actuating the lever 15. The counterweights 5 descend with the plate 6. and pull on the -cordes 4, which raises the pins. When the - lever 15 is given to itself, the springs 7 make the plate 6 re-rise to a sufficient height so that the ropes 4 are no longer stretched,
this so that the pins fall easily when struck by a ball 10.
The prepaid bowling game shown may include one or more balls; suppose that it has four, that they are in the distributor 20 between two pallets 24 of the latter, the wheel 28 being immobilized by the pawl 31 abutting against the latch 32; said set is then used as follows:
A coin 30 is introduced through the conduit 33; in the recess 29 of the wheel 28 and comes opposite the pawl 31 which it lifts when the shaft 25 is actuated rotatably using the handle 26; simultaneously, the pallets 24 rotate by driving the four balls 10 which fall into the passage 37, then, through the orifice .38, roll in the vertical duct 39 where they are arranged one on top of the other on the pusher 40;
the latter is then moved upwards by means of the rod 44, so that the upper ball opens into the passage 46, and through the latter arrives -in the tube of the gun 9;
the latter is then actuated so as to project, on track 8, said ball which, after having reached platform 2 and knocked down the pins. 3, rolls on the floor 17, enters through the hole 18 in the duct 19 and, through the latter, between two of the pallets 24 of the distributor 2Q; the pins which may have been knocked down are raised by actuating the lever 15, and a second ball 1.0 being brought into the lane 46 using the pusher 40, ends up joining the first in the distributor 20, where the two also end. other balls;
the shaft 25 is then rotated by a quarter of a turn and the balls are put back into play.
The shaft 25 and the wheel 28 make <B> </B> one revolution with the paddles 24, i.e. the balls can be put back into play four times before it is necessary to introduce a new coin in duct 33.
Each coin 30, introduced into the recess 29 of the wheel 28, falls, after having raised the pawl 31 and the wheel 28 has turned sufficiently, into a receptacle, not shown, placed on the bottom 12.
The plate 34 carries a stopper, not shown, intended to move in a peripheral groove. of the wheel 28 having corresponding shoulders; these being intended to prevent the wheel 28 from rotating in the opposite direction to that made possible by the insertion of a coin in the recess 29 of said wheel 28.
These shoulders also allow the user to identify the angular displacements of the wheel 28 and consequently those of the pallets 24.
