Clockwork mechanism applying an almost constant force to the escapement members. The object of the invention is a clockwork mechanism which achieves the application of a practically constant force to the escapement members.
This mechanism is characterized by the inter position, between the driving organs and those of the exhaust, of: two independent coaxial moving parts, with the exception of a connection by an elastic member capable of transmitting a motor torque between them, one of the mobile being a trainer and the other driven and the first having on its perimeter notches bearing against the ankles of an anchor,
that the ramps of a wheel integral with the sewing make it oscillate so that at any relaxation of the elastic connecting member beyond a given angle corresponds an oscillation of the anchor allowing the mobile driving armem said organ at an angle equal to that of this trigger.
The attached drawing. represents an embodiment of the object of the invention, given by way of example. Fig. 1 shows said mechanism -dé veloppé in elevation, without the bridges.
Fig. 2 shows, in plan, the anchor, the craven wheel: of the driven mobile unit and the elaotic sound link member.
Fig. 3 shows, in plan, the anchor, the mo bile trainer and its lifting. The irregular motor force is communicated to the mechanism via the intermediate mo biles 1, 2, 3, 4, 5, the last of which actuates the pinion 6.
This is part of a first mobile consisting of three parts: the pinion 6, a wheel, notches 7 and. -a -pivot 8. - These elements are coaxial with a second mobile, composed -of four parts: the barrel 9, the plug 10, the wheel 11 and the escapement wheel 1,2.
In the barrel 9 are housed two chatons 13 guiding the rod 8, while allowing it complete freedom of rotation, so that the driving force transmitted to the pinion 6 cannot in particular be transmitted without other to the wheel. exhaust 12, these two components turning crazy relative to each other.
The -dessin is .completed by the representation of the usual escapement members, either the anchor 14 and the balance 15.
Between the tram wheel 7 and the barrel 9 is interposed a spiral 16, constituting the cule connection between the mobile 6-7- & and the mobile 9-10-11-12. This hairspring can transmit a motor torque from one & these mobiles. to the other, in particular from the first to the second.
The driving direction: of the first -mobile being assumed to be that indicated by the arrow in FIG. 2, we see that it tends) to cock the spiTal 16.
The cocking angle is however limited to 60, by the fact that the wheel 7 has three notches 1, 7, 18, 19, intended to abut in turn &. Role against the one of the pegs 20 and 21 of an anchor 22, themselves spaced by an amount corresponding to 60 of the per revolution of said wheel.
The pegs of this anchor are, on the other hand, actuated by the ramps 23, 2'4, 2.5 of three projections of the wheel 11, which make. following three safety backs 26, 27 and 2.8, in areas of .circle concentric -to this wheel, the assembly making a division into six of the periphery of the wheel.
Here is now how the described mechanism works: The hairspring 16 being cocked and the Toue 7 stopped by its notch 17 - against the pin 20 of the anchor 22, the driving force coming from said hairspring will be transmitted to the escapement by the barrel 9 and 2a wheel: exhaust 12 which is integral with it.
This will rotate as the hairspring relaxes and will drive wheel 11 with it.
This will come, at a given moment, to occupy the position shown in fig. â, where the ramp 2.8 reaches -and pushes back the pin 20 from the anchor 22.
This function being accomplished, said che ville releases the notch 17 of the wheel 7, against which the che ville 21 now comes to rest.
Free to drive the pinion 6, the motor of the mechanism will re-arm the balance spring 16, however only 60, that is to say until the-screen 18 is stopped against the pin 2.1.
The mechanism will then retain this position as long as the anchor 22 is hand held in. its new position by the cooperation of the safety back 26 and the antrum peg 20.
This state corresponds to one sixth of a revolution of the wheel 11 and of the. escapement wheel with which it is integral, after which, the anchor 2'2 being driven into the starting position determined by the pressure, from the ramp 24, the notch 18 will in its turn abut against the peg 20 following a new arming of 60 of the balance spring 16, and so on.
The hairspring 16 always being armed with the same amount and only disarming between very narrow limits, it can be seen that it transmits a practically constant force to the exhaust members.
The angle, within the limits of which the hairspring 16 arms and disarms, could obviously have a value other than 60, for example even smaller.
The assembly formed by the trailing mobile and the driving mobile could be placed in another location of the mechanism, that is to say that the pinion 6 could, for example, take the place of the pinion 2.
In this case, the escape wheel 12 would be replaced by the wheel â. It is, however, preferable to adopt the arrangement drawn, in order to avoid transmission irregularities after the organs intended to achieve constant force, irregularities which may arise from sticking, of mo biles by oil.
It can be seen, on the other hand, that the pegs 20 and 21 of the anchor 22 are mounted so as to be able to turn freely on themselves, that is to say around their own. axes: geometric. This arrangement adapts particularly well to the present invention which constitutes one of the most interesting applications thereof.
