Sheet metal connection, especially for aircraft construction. In the manufacture of sheet metal components, especially for aircraft construction, there is a need to be perpendicular or approximately perpendicular to a sheet metal wall, e.g. B. for planking or spar bracing, to arrange web plates and to connect them to the cladding or spar bracing by means of resistance welding.
It is true that very thin sheet metal is mostly used in aircraft construction. But it has been shown that such a vertical welding of web plates onto the planking is difficult if the web plates exceed a certain thickness.
The strength ratio between the planking on the one hand and respectively. On the other hand, spar sheet and standing sheet is important if the edge of the web sheet can be welded onto the cladding sheet by means of electric butt welding.
The subject matter of the present invention is that a sheet metal is attached approximately vertically. The invention enables the disadvantage to be remedied.
It consists in the fact that the cross-section of the edge of the attached sheet lying against the sheet metal wall is smaller than the cross-section of a full part of the attached sheet of the length corresponding to the edge length. In one embodiment, the welding edge of the attached sheet is interrupted in a comb-like manner by millings, in another, the attached sheet is beveled at the welding edge. The reduction in the contact area results in an increase in the contact resistance and the welding temperature, so that a perfect welding connection can be achieved.
In the drawing execution examples of the invention are shown. It show: Fig. 2 is a section through the Blechver connection with double-sided beveled web plate and Fig. 3 is a section and a view with partial section of a sheet metal connection with one-sided clipped and @ mit Ausfräsun conditions comb-shaped web plate.
In the figures, 1 is the sheet metal wall forming planking plate of an aircraft and 2 is the web plate attached to this connection by welding. The web plate 2 is perpendicular or approximately perpendicular to the cladding sheet 1 and is beveled on the connecting edge in Fig. 1 on one side at 3 and in Fig. 2 on both sides at 4. The connection point is denoted by 5.
Fig. 3 shows a modified imple mentation of the connection. In this, the web plate 2 is seen except with the bevel 3 still on the gante with milled 6 ver. As a result, an even smaller contact surface at the connection point 5 is achieved.
In all examples, the cross-section of the edge of the sheet 2 lying against the sheet metal wall 1 is smaller than the cross-section of a full sheet of the attached sheet of the length corresponding to the edge length, which is measured, for example, along the line -1-B in FIG.
