Universal-Maschinenschraubstock.
Universal machine vice. The previously known machine vices are limited to a horizontal rotation of 360, rotatable on the base plate and max. 90 Forward Tilt. The machine vise I invented combines in the same support (rotating head) a tilt of 90 forward, left and right and also has the possibility of a horizontal rotation of 360.
The accompanying drawing shows an exemplary embodiment of the subject matter of the patent; namely in FIG. 1 an elevation, in FIG. 2 a side elevation, in FIG. The vice consists of five main parts: the base plate 1, the base support 2, the rotary head 3, the rigid clamping jaw 4 and the movable clamping jaw 5. The T-slot 6, which is screwed into the base plate, allows the base support 2 to rotate 360 freely (Axis of rotation 22).
The three located in the T-slot 6 screws 7, 8; 9, which are connected to the basic support 2, allow the basic support 2 to be fixed in any position. For precise adjustment, a 360 division is engraved on the base support 2. Since practice has shown that the generally used two screws allow excessive vibration, three are provided here (7, 8, 9). The left and right rotation of the rotary head 3 by 90 is also allowed by a screwed in the rotary head 3 T-slot 10 (axis of rotation 23).
The rotary head 3 is fixed by tightening the screw nuts 11, 12, 13 attached to the end of the base support 2. For precise setting of the rotary head 3 there is a 180 scale on the front of the base support 2.
For the forward tilting (axis of rotation 24) of the rigid clamping jaw 4 (90), a necessary radial groove 14 is milled in the rotary head 3. To fix the rigid clamping jaw 4 on the rotary head 3, it is sufficient to tighten the two screws 15, 16 sliding in the Ra dialnute 14.
In order to make easy reading of the scale (90) located on the rotary head 3 possible, a conical opening 1.7 is attached to the rigid clamping jaw 4 between the two nuts 15, 16 to be tightened. The most commonly used horizontal position of the rigid clamping jaw 4 is held by a conical pin 18 attached to the opposite side.
The movable clamping jaw 5 slides through the turning of the screw spindle 19, which is protected from external influences (dust, chips, etc.) at every opening, on the horizontal dovetail guide 2-0 of the rigid clamping jaw 4, which supports the dovetail above. To readjust the movable clamping jaw 5 is on the rear, parallel to the dovetail guide 20; a steel rail 21 attached.
