Safety valve with built-in acoustic signal device. The present invention is a pressure vessel for such. B. saucepans, certain safety valve with built-in acoustic signaling device, which is characterized by the fact that the valve cone of the safety valve cooperating with the valve seat simultaneously forms the head of a signal whistle.
On the accompanying drawing, a vertical section of an embodiment of the subject of the invention is illustrated in a single figure.
In the drawing, 1 denotes the cambered lid of a cooking pot, not shown here, on which lid a safety valve is attached. 2 is the valve seat piece which is fastened to the cover 1 by means of a nut 8. On this valve seat piece 2, the valve housing 4 is screwed, the upper part of which also serves as a guide for a weight piece 6 provided in the same, which has a central Boh tion 7, the lower part of which is formed by a tubular extension 7a of the weight piece 6.
A valve cone 8 which interacts with the valve seat of the valve seat piece 2 and which at the same time forms the head of a signal whistle is pressed into the tubular extension 7a. This head is flattened to form a slot 8a on one side, while an inclined milled slot 6a is provided immediately behind it in the tubular extension part 7a. The bore 7 forms a resonance space for the pipe.
The Ven valve housing 4 is seen above ver with a cover 5, which limits the stroke movement of the weight 6 piece. On the valve housing 4 there is also placed a round ring 9 made of heat-insulating material, by means of which the valve housing 4 is screwed onto the valve seat piece 2 by hand. As a result, the valve cone 8 comes to rest on the valve seat, so that the valve is closed. At a certain overpressure in the saucepan, the valve cone 8 and thus the weight is lifted.
The steam flowing out brushes the valve cone 8 and escapes through holes 13 provided in the valve housing 4 and directed downwards at an angle into the open. Part of the steam flows through the slots 8a and 6a and thereby causes a whistling sound. Due to its non-circular shape, the ring 9 prevents it from rolling away when it is put down, and its heat-insulating property prevents the fingers from being burned when manipulating with hot steam. Ring 9 and a further ring 10 together prevent damage to the valve housing 4 if they are dropped.
At the bottom of the valve seat piece 2, a clamping ring 12 serving as a sieve, ge perforated plate 11 is used, which prevents clogging of the valve in mous-sizing, granular pressure vessel contents.
From the drawing it can be seen that Ven tilsitz and valve cone 8 are housed protected in the Ge housing 4, and that the part 6, 8 is completely covered so that it can not be weighed down from the outside during use of the valve.
As can be seen from the explanations above, when the valve cone 6 is raised, that is to say when a certain pressure inside the saucepan is exceeded, the signal whistle automatically comes into operation. The advantage here is that after leaving the saucepan, the steam does not have to accumulate in order to make the pipe work.
