Description
Fig. 2 zeigt eine teilweise Draufsicht des Verschlusses.
Unterteils a gelegt.
Bayonet lock on a bleeh container.
The invention relates to a bayonet lock on a sheet metal container, preferably on one that is to be sealed airtight.
It is known to provide the casing of the lower part of a container with bayonet locks which, when the container is closed, engage along screw surfaces with locks provided on the lid.
Such a closure can only be used for containers made of thin sheet metal if the free edge of the jacket is secured against bending by further measures due to the stresses occurring during closure.
According to the invention, on the other hand, the locking pulls of the container lower part are arranged on a ring which lies tightly against the inner wall of the lower part casing, is connected to the upper edge of the latter by a fold and is stiffened by means of an inwardly projecting flange. This ring absorbs the forces that occur during closure, so that the lower part can be made from thin, less rigid sheet metal, even if the cover is to be screwed in firmly.
The fold of the ring can easily be designed in such a way that in addition a practically complete sealing of the joint between the cover and the lower part is made possible.
The drawing shows, for example, an embodiment of the closure according to the invention, wherein
Fig. 1 1 = represents a section according to a diameter of the container to be closed, which is drawn only as far as the understanding of the invention requires.
Figure 2 shows a partial top view of the closure.
The jacket a of the container base is provided above with a ring b which protrudes into the interior of the container, rests tightly against the inner wall of the jacket and a number of lock trains c carries that form part of the bayonet lock.
At its free end, the ring b has an inwardly protruding flange n which is higher than the locking cables c and prevents the edge of the lower part from bending out when the locking cables are stressed.
Each locking train c has a screw surface d with the screwing axis; which is connected to the upper part of the ring b by an oblique surface e to the former. The ring b is by means of a fold f around the bordering of the l. Lower part a.
The fold stiffens the edge of the lower part and makes it easier to seal the Fng between the cover and the lower part.
Such a locking cable can be pulled and the metal can be pushed against the foremost edge of the locking cable in order to create a reinforcement there and avoid the bending cracks.
The locking pulls g attached to the lid are of the same design; the surface Ii is a screw surface with the screwing axis x-x, and the surface i inclined to the former is also drawn in order to obtain the same advantages through the distribution of the metal.
The locking cable c has an incline kink at k and ends at the bottom by an extension 1, the outer edge of which serves as a stop for the next locking cable g that is engaged in the direction of the screw connection when the container is opened.
This stop inevitably initiates the separation of the cover and base.
The stop m can also serve as a leading edge for the introduction of the cover into the lower part. The closure shown can be extremely stressed, the lid and the lower part being pressed against one another so strongly that, if necessary with the use of seals, a negative pressure generated in the closed container remains indefinitely.
