Nugelschieber.
Nugelschieber. The invention relates to a ball valve with a diaphragm plate mounted in the rotating body Ue- weglicl-i. If such a sealing plate is not removed from the associated housing ducting surface before the slide is opened, then large frictional moments must be overcome when the rotary body is adjusted.
In order to endure this evil, it has already been proposed that the sealing plate be lifted from its seat before the Ver put the rotating body, so that when rotating the rotating body on its sealing surface, no frictional resistance must be overcome.
In one case, however, the disadvantage arises that so much water can suddenly shoot through the gap between the raised sealing plate and the housing sealing surface that pressure surges are generated in the pipe section behind the ball valve.
In order to have to overcome the smallest possible frictional torques when adjusting the rotating ball valve body in ball valves of the type mentioned at the beginning, but on the other hand to prevent pressure surges from occurring in the pipelines when the sealing plate is lifted, a spring-loaded sealing plate is provided in the movable sealing plate according to the invention Sealing ring movable. which is still in sealing contact with the housing pipe wall even when the sealing plate is lifted off.
The accompanying drawing illustrates an exemplary embodiment of the invention, namely: FIG. 1 shows a section through the axis of rotation of the closed ball valve with the sealing plate lifted off, FIG. 2 shows details of FIG. 1 on a larger scale, Fig. 3 one through.
the axis of rotation of the closed ball valve with the sealing plate pressed on and FIG. 4 shows details of FIG. 3 on a larger scale.
The pivot pins 2 and 3 of the rotating body 4 are mounted in a spherically designed slide housing 1 . On the extension of the pivot 3 there is a gear 5 by which the rotating body 4 can be rotated. The rotary body 4 has an extension 6 with a short cylinder 7 in which the closing or sealing plate 8 can be moved with as little play as possible.
The cavity 9 formed by the rotating body 4 with expansion 6 and the plate 8 stands, on the one hand, through a small gap 10 </ B > (Fi-. 2) with the interior of the valve body 1 filled by the pressure medium in connection, on the other hand it is connected by a cast-in channel 11 guided through the pivot 2 </ B> in connection with an emptying line, 12 '.
A shut-off element 13 is built into the latter, through which this line, #, 12 can be closed off at will. 14 denotes a line which enables the evacuation line 192 to be connected to the space behind the slide.
In the sealing plate 8 , a locking ring 15 , the springs tD el 17 , is movably arranged in the manner shown in FIGS. 2 and 4 (only one is shown in FIGS. 22 and 4 -ezeio "t)" on the sealing surface 16 assigned to the rotary body 4 on the housing 1 press on.
If the rotating body 4 is in the closed position, as shown in FIG. 1 and the shut-off element 13 is open, there is a connection between the space 9 </ B> and the pressureless space behind the sight glass. Due to the relatively large dimensioning of the lines 12 and 14 in relation to the gap clearance 10 it can be achieved that the relatively small amount of pressure medium flowing through the gap clearance 10 with a very small pressure through the Lines 12, 14 are led away from room 9 ,
so that there is only very little pressure in space 9 and plate 8 through daE; Pressure medium acting on its surface 84 is therefore lifted off the housing sealing surface 16 in the manner shown in FIG. 2.
The sealing ring 15 is, however, 6 still tight against the housing surface 16 by the springs 17 epresst, so that currently only a little pressure medium through the gap 10 the space 9, the channel 11 and the lines 19, 14 can get into the space behind the slide.
The pressure previously exerted on the sealing lens surfaces between the plate 8 and the housing 1 is now largely due to the easily lubricated pins 3 < / B> so that the rotating body 4 can be brought into the n M open position by means of the gear 5 with a relatively low application of force.
The effort required is low because 2, t ' C when the sealing plate 8 is lifted, only the sealing ring 15 with a relative ( , small Rino area o where the housing C e_I neg area 16 is in contact,
so that the friction torque thus generated is many times el n smaller than that which would have to be overcome if the entire sealing plate 8 against the Housing surface before 16 would make contact. It is therefore only necessary to overcome the friction torque resulting from the force of the springs 17 and this can be made as small as desired.
Even when the plate 8 is lifted off, however, because of the sealing ring 1.5 , before the rotation of the body 4, no pressure medium can get into the dr-iiel, loose space behind the gate valve. By appropriately designing the sealing ink plate 8, the forces acting on it and generated by the pressure medium can be determined in such a way that this plate does not vibrate even in a non-pressed position.
The Diehtun srino, 15 , which is always pressed on, prevents pressure surges from occurring when the sealing plate is removed, both when opening and when closing the slide.
The fio-. 3: and 4 show the parts in the position that they insert when the rotating body 4 is in the open position and the shut-off element 13 is closed. The whole thing The plate 8 is now in close contact with the housing surface 16 .
