Fig. 7 eine Seitenansicht einer andern Ausführungsform.
Deep drinking bowl.
The invention relates to a cattle trough with a hinged lid that covers the drinking trough and has a reinforced edge part with a curved cross-section.
Experience has shown that the lids of drinking bowls are bent after a relatively short period of operation, and in many cases even broken off. It has therefore already been proposed to provide the cover sheet with a reinforced edge part or a border in order to make it more resistant. Now the resilient and simple storage of the lid on the basin causes certain difficulties; because as a result of the very robust treatment to which the cover is exposed, bending of the cover axis and damage to the hinge or joint parts by means of which the cover is attached to the axis often occur.
The disadvantageous consequence is that the lids lock, and are therefore no longer easy enough to move, that the lids no longer close by themselves, thus preventing the penetration of dirt into the drinking trough, and that in basins where pressure is applied against the lid the water supply is triggered, it no longer works.
According to the invention, the design is made in such a way that the cover has a bow-shaped frame, on the curved edge part of which a support strip is connected at an angle to receive a different material, thinner cover plate.
With this design of the cover, the deficiencies outlined can be avoided, because the bow-shaped frame can be produced in a design that is extremely resistant to bending stress. Such a cover is therefore extremely reliable.
The subject of the invention is illustrated, for example, in the drawing.
It shows :
Fig. 1 is a section through a drinking bowl
Fig. 2 is a plan view
3 shows a cross section through a drinking bowl with a view of the support rail.
4 shows a section through the rear wall of the beekeeper.
5 shows a side view of a support rail which has arms for receiving the water container,
6 shows a front view with a section through the basin,
Fig. 7 is a side view of another embodiment.
The basin 1 can be closed by a cover. which consists of the bow-shaped frame 2, which is provided with a support strip 2 ′, the struts 5, the crossbar 3 and the cover plate 6. The frame can be made of wrought iron or malleable cast iron, the Deek plate made of sheet metal or other suitable material.
As the drawing shows, the frame 2 is so curved at the edge that injuries are practically impossible. The frame is also designed so that the cover plate 6 is recessed on the support strip 2 '.
On its edge part protruding beyond the edge of the drinking bowl, this has openings 7 through which the dirty water that accumulates during cleaning and that collects on the cover can run off. This prevents the dirty water from getting inside the pool.
The cross bar 3 of the frame bracket 2 is designed so that it also serves as a pivot axis. It is mounted in semicircular bearing recesses in the side walls of the pool and is fixed by bearing tabs 4 which are releasably attached to the side walls.
The cover plate 6, which can be easily replaced if necessary, is provided with cutouts 25 running below the bearing tabs so that the cover movement is not hindered.
To dampen the falling cover, 2 buffers, for example made of rubber, can be attached to the frame. The cover actuation can be locked by suitable means, for example by means of Steek bolts.
On the axis 3 sits a toothed segment 8 which meshes with a pinion which sits on the spindle 9 of the faucet or some other valve 10 which is connected to the line 11 and whose outlet can optionally have a known splash protection. It is particularly useful to use an ordinary water tap as the water supply valve, which means that all the special features previously required for a valve with a special design can be omitted. The toothed segment 8 does not need to be arranged within the drinking trough l; it can also be located outside the hollow.
Then it acts with a gear of the spindle axle of the valve BEZW. Hahnes together.
The gear drive for actuating the Ventilbezw. The tap spindle is preferably designed in such a way that the water inflow does not begin immediately at the start of the lid movement, but only when the lid is opened to a certain degree.
In the exemplary embodiments shown, the drinking peek 1 is fastened to the wall with the aid of a two-part sebum 12, which is arranged horizontally and embedded in the rear wall 13 of the basin 1.
The two parts of the splint protrude over the pelvis on both sides. They have holes 15 at their ends, through which the visual bolts are inserted for attachment to the stable wall.
Both parts of the support rail are adjustable in length so that they can be adapted to the given wall conditions.
As is the rule with cattle drinking bowls, are the suspension devices or If their fastening eyes are fixed, the attachment of the drinking ponds to the wall of the stable is rather cumbersome and time-consuming, because the suspension means and whose fastening eyelets come to lie in front of the wall joints, so laborious and lengthy lavage work is essential to fasten the retaining screws. The two complementary parts of the support rail are let into a recess or groove 24 in the back wall of the pool serving as a guide and can have a dovetail-shaped cross section.
According to FIGS. 3 and 4, the rail parts 12 and 12 ′ can be displaced in a common guide 14 inserted into the recess 24 in the form of a sleeve. The rail parts 12 and 12 'can be locked in any position with the aid of clamping screws 16 in the sleeve. The sleeve 14 is preferably used in basins made of ceramic material.
The support rail 12, 12 'respectively. the guide sleeve 14 can, as in the illustrated embodiments, be let into the pool rear wall 13 in such a way that it directly adjoins the stable wall on its rear side. However, the training can also be made such that it is completely embedded in the rear wall of the pool. If the basin is made of ceramic material, the guide sleeve is cemented into the recess provided for it in the rear wall of the basin. In any case, no matter what material the pool is made of, the rail can BEZW. the guide sleeve can also be held on the rear wall of the pool by means of screws penetrating it.
As FIGS. 5 and 6 show, the mounting rail can BEZW. the guide sleeve also serves to accommodate any components or accessories of the pool. According to FIGS. 5 and 6, arms 17 are provided on which the water storage container 18 sits, from which the water flows through the valve (not shown) to the drinking bowl. If a valve connected directly to the water pipe is used, it can be carried by the arms 17.
If necessary, such a valve, which is advantageously arranged in front of the center of the rear wall of the pool, can be accommodated by a support arm which extends from the sleeve 14 in the center of the rear wall of the pool.
The support arms can have holes for receiving the axis around which the hinged lid of the basin can be pivoted. If the cover axis is arranged at a certain distance in front of the pool rear wall, as in the embodiment according to FIGS. 1 and 2, then, as shown in FIG the cover 21 is mounted by means of the bores 20.
The invention can be used regardless of whether the actual drinking bowl is in one piece or consists of two parts, for example a support body and a drinking trough detachably attached to it.
Particularly for pools made of ceramic material, the described fastening to the wall with the aid of a support rail that is embedded in a guide in the pool rear wall is an advanced solution to the fastening problem.
