Description

Process for the production of a velvety fabric. So far, velvets and velvety fabrics have been produced using a special type of weave.

Surprisingly, it turned out: that you can create an extremely beautiful short-fiber velvet by one-sided rubbing of fabrics, which at least in the weft consist of endless fibers of regenerated cellulose, i.e. of staple rayon, and shearing the roughened fibers.

The warp of the fabric can also consist of rayon or a vegetable or animal fiber. Appropriately, the fabric is stolen in a slightly damp state, as it may have been achieved, for example, by steaming.

Implementation example of the method according to the invention: A dyed and slightly damp fabric made of cotton warp and staple viscose rayon, weft with a satin weft weave is stolen on the satin side in such a way that a completely uniform robbery fleece is created. The robbery takes place on any of the facilities known for this purpose.

The resulting robbery fleece is then sheared. After shearing, the fabric looks like a very nice velvet.

PATENT CLAIM: Process for the production (of a velvet-like fabric, characterized in that a fabric, which consists at least in the weft of stackless fibers of regenerated cellulose, is roughened on one side and the resulting robbery fleece is sheared. SUBClaims 1. Process according to patent claim, characterized by that one starts from a fabric whose chain also consists of stackless fibers of regenerated cellulose.A method according to claim, characterized in that one starts from a fabric whose chain consists of vegetable fibers. 3. 3. The method according to patent claim, characterized in that one starts with a fabric whose warp consists of aromatic fibers. 4. The method according to claim, characterized in that one starts from a fabric that has a weft satin weave.
