Container tilting device, in particular for tilting containers in furnaces for melting metals. The previously known Vorrich lines for tilting containers in furnace for melting metals can be summarized in the following groups.
First: the container rests like a cradle. on runners that either roll in a plane or roll on rollers. In one case, the center of the runners radius describes a movement forwards respectively. backwards. It follows that the pouring spout of the container and a corresponding movement forward. executes backwards. Otherwise, the container rotates around the center point of the runner's curvature, so that if this center point coincides with the pouring edge of the pouring spout, the container tilts around it.
Second: One known embodiment shows the container suspended in bearings on pivot pins. In this case, the pouring spout only does not move from changing its location when the pivot pins lie on an axis that goes through the spout. If the axis of rotation does not go through the snout, this has the disadvantage that the pouring stream changes its path as the container tilts, so that a narrow receptacle, for example a mold, has to be set consistently in the pouring stream path.
If, on the other hand, the suspension axis runs through the pouring spout of the container, there is the disadvantage with the mentioned embodiment that the collecting vessels cannot be brought close to the pouring container, so that one is forced to provide a lot in front of jumping pouring spouts, which in turn is the construction of the Storage of the pivot is designed unfavorably, as then the pivot bearings must be placed far forward ver.
When casting, however, it is advantageous if the path of the pouring jet is as short as possible in order to avoid oxidation of the molten metal, which can only be achieved with a penetrated pouring spout. The present invention is a device for tilting containers, in particular for tilting containers in furnaces, for melting metals, in which it is possible to avoid the disadvantages described.
According to the invention, the container is rotatable about two axes, in such a way that when tilting in a first movement phase it is only rotated about the first axis of rotation provided on the lower part of the container, with the pouring spout of the container being moved forward until it comes to rest in the second axis of rotation, whereupon the container is rotated in a second phase of movement only about the second axis of rotation so that the pouring spout does not experience any local change during this phase.
The drawing shows an exemplary embodiment of the tilting device according to the invention, namely: FIG. 1 shows the container in the starting position, FIG. 2 shows the same container at the end of the first movement phase, immediately before casting and FIG End of the second movement phase, i.e. after the casting has been completed.
On the tilting container a two pivot pins e are provided, to which the Aufhängestan gene b are articulated. The latter can be arranged in such a way that, from the snout, one is on the right and the other on the left of the container. At its other end, the suspension rods are hinged in pin c ge. The journal bearings are supported on a foundation l or a solid base.
During the first phase of movement be the suspension rods b keep their oblique position from bottom to top, because they rest against an abutment 1e, which can be designed to be adjustable in the direction of the support pressure. The container a is pivoted around the pivot e until it is adjustable with the buffers f attached to the container, which lie>; i the path of movement of the suspension star .----- b and advantageously in the direction of the support pressure and are resilient, reached for concern ge.
The arrangement of the buffers f is also made such that the container a can only be pivoted in the first movement phase until the pouring edge of the spout d comes to rest in the axis of the upper pivot c. During the second movement phase, that is, when the buffers f are supported against the suspension rods b, the latter are pivoted together with the container a around the pin c until the contents of the container is emptied.
In the embodiment shown, the tilting movement is effected by a chain (see arrow Z). the two chains running over runners g i. which are pulled over to guide rollers 1a, has. Instead of a chain hoist, a cable, a rack and pinion drive could of course also be used. a drive by hydraulic ram or the like come into question.
The device described, in which a two-phase tilting movement of the Giessbehäl age is provided, offers the advantage. that the collecting vessel can be set up at a convenient distance from the non-tilted container, as the casting sump only moves forward during the first movement phase, in which no pouring takes place, and thus towards the collecting vessel. In the first inclination period there is no pouring. because the container should only be filled to a certain height. The purpose of this idle period is to move the pouring spout towards the collecting vessel.
In the second movement phase, in which the pouring spout undergoes almost no local change, the pouring takes place. Since there is practically no local change in the pouring spout during the pouring phase. accurate pouring is made possible. Further advantages are that the weight of the container and the insert is absorbed in the vicinity of the container bottom, so that the static forces resulting from the suspension on the pivot pin e are absorbed by the bottom part of the container, making the same relatively can be easily dimensioned.
The container can be arranged in a sunk pit which only needs to be open on the side of the pouring spout, otherwise it can cling to the container with almost no play.
